“What?!” Angelo was shocked, speechless- by what Cassandra had answered him, suddenly all he could hear was a buzzing sound. Background noises began to fade, and all he could hear was the unbelievable answer of Cassandra- that was on repeat in his mind.
“I said, I agree in dating you,” Angelo slowly focused his gaze on Cassandra, and a broad smile was seen- on his face. He then touched the hand of Cassandra and beamed his exquisite- smile again.
“I can’t believe that you would agree with my preposterous idea,” using his free hand Angelo covered his mouth while his eyes dilated as he was; very shocked by Cassandra’s answer. “Then you’re now my girlfriend?”
Cassandra immediately nods her head, making Angelo leap in happiness, and hugs Cassandra tightly, “I can’t believe that the girl I like would like me back also; I’m so happy. You don’t know how much joy you’ve brought unto me, Cassandra.”
“Wait, let go. You’re choking me, Angelo.” Feeling the light p
Months passed, and days flew by, and Angelo woke up being a senior student already. A lot; of things had changed during the time- it made Angelo grow mature and much more responsible than before. A new semester and a new set of friends allowed Angelo the chance: to mingle with other; people; from in and out of his; school. He was in out-most- enjoying his senior year: with a girlfriend for; about a year and having a bright future ahead of him. Angelo was sure that- there was nothing he could ask for in his life. He was brightly shining that everyone would be envious of him, as he had already had everything secured in front of him. Although Angelo was; dropped from being the top 1 in the whole class as semesters; passed being- able to secure the top 2 is still an admirable feat that not anyone could easily conquer. Angelo was already contented with his ranking since it gave him a lot of opportunities to take a breather- on his studying and have enough time to spend wi
Angelo waited and waited for Cassandra to arrive at the front gate- even though almost all the students of Cassandra’s school had already passed the gate, still there was no sign of his girlfriend going out of the school grounds. He just made an excuse on his mind that maybe Cassandra had some important matters to talk to the teachers, making her unable to leave the school- at the moment. So Angelo waited for Cassandra for another hour, and when the hour had transpired, he took out his phone- from his backpack and called Cassandra. The call had connected, and Angelo immediately asked Cassandra why she was taking a long time to leave her school. “I’m sorry, Angelo, I didn’t tell you that- I have to return home earlier than the class dismissal since I was not feeling well,” Cassandra explained as she; let out a few coughs while talking to Angel. “I’m truly sorry if; I didn’t inform you- about my condition. My mind is not functioning ever since I started not to feel wel
Mark’s brows furrowed when he heard the irritating voice of the person- who was calling his attention. Sitting- on the opposite of; the woman that- had requested to; meet him. Mark didn’t wait for the woman to get any more chance to talk to him. “What did you call me here, Cassandra?” Mark asked while gesturing to the waiter- to leave them since he doesn’t have plans to dine together with Cassandra. “No need to be so strict, Mark,” Cassandra then tried to touch the hand of Mark, but Mark had swiftly avoided the touch of Cassandra and glared at her. “Don’t you dare touch me; just get straight to the point and kindly avoid unnecessary touches.” “Come on, Mark. Do not be such a killjoy,” Cassandra then sips the cold juice- she had ordered before Mark had arrived. After taking her sip, she then bit her lips as if trying to seduce Mark. This action of Cassandra caused Mark to glare hard at her. Seeing that Cassandra had no plans of acting serious-
A smirk was seen on Cassandra’s face- after all, she still has the last trump- that could make Mark be begging down his knees. She took out her phone and played an audio recording. A static sound was; first heard on the recorder before a crisp voice resonated in the quiet halls of the restaurant. Mark had clenched his jaw the moment a familiar voice was; heard from the; recorder. His gaze- that was looking at Cassandra slowly shifted on the: mobile phone that- was placed on the table. He looked at the device so seriously that- if only Mark’s gaze could destroy the device, then he would have done so. Another static was; heard before the recording had ended. “Look at that reaction. It looks like; what was; recorded here is all the truth,” Cassandra grabbed the phone- on the table and promptly placed it inside of her bag- as if afraid that Mark would smash her- phone. Irritation was; seen on Mark’s face while listening to the conve
A new day has dawned, and Angelo, instead of feeling energized, feels like the world is spinning in front of him. He wanted to curse out loud since he would not be feeling like a drunk- having a hangover first thing in the morning- if it were not for Mark’s constant bombardment of messages- on his phone. Although he was so sleepy last night, Angelo hadn’t had a; choice but to reply to Mark’s message else Mark would explode his phone’s inbox. Angelo went out of his room looking like a zombie- that if his younger brother would see Angelo right now- Angelus would positively punch Angelo until he would pass out. Fortunately for him, Angelus still hadn’t woken up. Slowly making his way to the kitchen, Angelo opened the fridge to grab a bottled water. His hands were shaking as he took the bottled water- that it took him a few tries before he could entirely hold the; water bottle. Angelo was trying to open the lid- of the water bottle when his younger suddenly spoke behind
Ciel Cafe is a two-story building located at the center of the city. With its modern futuristic design, this cafe was certainly a go-to place for those who love taking pictures. It was also a perfect place for people who wants- to break free from the clamor of the world. The first floor was a place reserved for the customers, while the second floor was; catered solely for their V.I.P customers. The pleasant sound of chime was; heard the moment Angelo opened the door of; the cafe. As soon as he was inside, Angelo looked for a two-seater seat- so that he and Cassandra could have a private conversation with each other later. Finding a suitable seat, Angelo trudged his way- to its location and promptly sat- on the chair as soon as he had; arrived in front of; the table. When he had finally seated comfortably, Angelo ordered his favorite milkshake. While waiting for his order to arrive, Angelo texted Cassandra- informing her that he had alre
While walking back home, Angelo was holding back the tears that- was about to fall from his eyes, sniffling and silently sobbing. It also felt that the world was secretly grieving with him since rain showers started to fall from the bright and sunny weather. As soon as; it started- to drizzle, people began to either grab an umbrella from their bags or proceed to the nearest shop- to take shelter from the rain shower. While the people- are busy running from different directions- one person was walking normally, not minding the sprinkle of water hitting his shoulder. His eyes look so lifeless that anyone who could see it- would certainly, grow concerned. People who passed by Angelo would look back at him and give him a look full of worry. But Angelo didn’t mind all the stares that- the strangers had been giving him. It was almost dark when Angelo arrived safely at the comforts of his house. He was; drenched so much that Angelo looks, like a wet c
From that day forth, Angelo’s behavior had turned a 360-degree change. From being a person who is serious with his studies, he became a person who is so carefree about it. So calm- that he began to skip classes and join the company of questionable people. Angelo also learned to do some vices; drinking, smoking, womanizing, and anything that was; negatively perceived by society- he did them all. Angelo began- to not care about what other people would see him as, whether they would give him a scornful, condemning, or insulting look- in front of his face; Angelo was unconcerned. They can even throw nasty words at him, and he wouldn’t care since Angelo’s heart had turned cold. It had become frozen and surrounded by layers of frost- the moment Cassandra had broken up with him- Angelo’s heart had become callous. No matter how his parents would try to talk to him, it would not reach into Angelo’s ears. He continued being careless with his life
