Left in the storm 2

He ran over and carried her in his arms. He walked hastily and told the men “she's a friend” and placed her in his car. He got behind the wheel and drove her towards the hospital, turning to glance at her at intervals.

“Ava Leon please stay strong. Please stay alive. I'll take you to the hospital” he said. He turned off the air conditioner in the car and switched it over to the car  heater.

Soon the interior was warm and he kept talking to her, calling her name but Ava had fainted. She was shivering still and her clothes were drenched in water.

Few minutes after Patrick left, another car arrived at the park and before he could say anything, the security asked him if he was there to see the woman that was left in the storm.

Clem nodded. What a way to describe Lester's family daughter in-law? He was then told that a man had come for her not quite long and drove her to the hospital.

Clem nodded. That probably would be Patrick. But he doesn't know what hospital she was taken to. He got back into his car and called Patrick but the latter at the moment was rushing Ava from the car into the hospital.

He carried her princessly and wasted no time asking for a stretcher. When the medical team found the woman, they immediately swarmed into action and took the unconscious woman to the emergency ward.

Patrick felt a lone tear drop from his eyes. The last time that happened to him was when his mother died. He has never felt pity for someone like he felt at that moment for Ava Leon.

It's time for this marriage to end. She might be from a poor home but she deserves some respect. She is the only child of her family just as Adrian is to his own family.

Such a beautiful woman. She looked like a princess despite the ruined makeup she had on. Adrian would never love her. He would keep treating her like a piece of trash.

Richard felt remorseful and called Adrian, but he didn't answer the phone. Then he decided to call Lola. The latter answered the phone almost immediately and Richard demanded “Where is Adrian?”

“Here, your dad” Lola gave him the phone and he reluctantly accepted it. Before he could say hello, his dad thundered “Where is Ava Leon, your wife?”

       Adrian frowned and shrugged.

“I don't know anything about her, dad,” Adrian replied nonchalantly. He knows nothing about her. The last time he checked, she was at home and shared a breakfast table with them.

“You don't know anything about her and yet, you were all over the Internet displaying a show of shame with Lola while your wife is left in the storm, waiting for you on a date!” Richard blurted in fury and hung up.

A sense of responsibility descended on Adrian and he was quiet for a few seconds. She was waiting for him? Did he tell anyone that he was interested in an anniversary date?

He brought out his phone and saw numerous calls. He'd deliberately placed the phone on mute. He doesn't want his grandfather to reach him at all.

“What happened, Adrian?” Lola asked. She saw how his face drained of its excitement when the call ended. Did anything happen?

“Ava is caught in the storm. And we are all over the Internet as well” he declared and added quickly “I'll see you tomorrow,Lola”

“You could call Clem to go to her and bring her home. As for social media, I don't see any big deal about it. It's about time we go public, Adrian” Lola sounded casual.

What if that tramp is in the storm? She deliberately called Adrian to go to dinner with her that evening. Because more than Adrian, she kept the wedding date in her memory and she is not going to forget it in a hurry.

She was determined to ruin it and she got what she wanted. So, what's the big deal about it? Who cares even if she dies in the storm.

“Even at that, I need to go home now. Dad is angry with me. This isn't about grandfather alone, dad is upset with me already” He explained.

Adrian had to spend the next twenty minutes persuading Lola before he could leave her and raced towards the house. On his way, he called Clem and the latter told him the situation.

He turned and headed to the hospital and he got there a few minutes after Clem. When they saw Patrick, the latter just stared at Adrian coldly.

“Take care of the trending news” he instructed Clem and the latter nodded. He immediately left them and went away.

“Do you think she deserves this treatment from you? Did she ever hurt you before and during the course of this marriage?” Patrick Connor asked and Adrian couldn't respond.

He looked away and the doctor soon returned and said the patient is unconscious but she'd been stabilised. She didn't catch pneumonia hence, once she's alright, she will be discharged.

As Adrian left Lola, it wasn't long, another man came over and rang the doorbell. She was expecting him, in fact, she missed him.

She opened the door and threw herself in his arms “I've missed you darling” Lola confessed and pulled him into her apartment.

He cupped her face and kissed her before saying “I was keeping a distance because of that rich brat that hovers around you like a Bumblebee hovers over the head of a flower…” he cajoled.

Lola laughed and kissed him sweetly. They both kissed each other until he asked her “How's tonight going to end?” And kissed her chin, neck and traced his fingers through to her cleavage.

“Like always, we'll make sweet perfume until we both are left exhausted” Lola offered.

“Then you can be sure of having my entire length buried inside your p**sy all night long” he assured her, taking her right in the direction of the bedroom.

“Yeah baby…leave me dripping all night long” Lola said, anticipating the continuation of last night's gymnastics.
