Chapter 5 ~ Sold

                              CHAPTER 5

                     •••••Aurora's POV•••••

               •••••(Flashback Continue)•••••

A startled scream escaped my lips as the back of his hand connected with my cheek sending me flying to the floor in a heap.

The glass shreds dig deeper on my back causing pain to shoot across my whole back as I bit down on my lower lip, eventually drawing blood as I knew that he didn't like me to make a sound.

I could feel my cheek slowly turning in the bright shade of red as a bruise was already forming.

" Get up" he snarled.

I slowly pushed myself up into a seating position, keeping my head down.

I could already feel the slap affecting me as my head swam and my back and hips started to ache in pain.

An impatient huff was heard before I was roughly pulled from the collar and was forced to stand up.

My vision started to turn blur as I felt myself swaying on my feet unable to balance myself and my ears started to ring and my head started to throb painfully making it harder for me to focus on anything.

My teeth started to chatter from the cold caused by my wet clothes.

Before I had time to recover from the first blow my body was again slammed against the wall so forcefully that air knocked out my lungs.

A hand wrapped around my neck slowly and painfully cutting my air supply as I was lifted off the ground by his grip on my neck.

Tears filled my vision as I stared back into the menhancing green orbs orbs of my brother.

My hands clasped around his hands as I desperately tried to break free from his powerful grip.

I clawed his skin drawing blood but nothing seemed to faze him as continued to glare at me with hatred and anger in his eyes.

I could feel my lungs begin to burn from the lack of oxygen as I began to kick my legs trying to hit him and make him let go of my neck.

I felt the strength drain out of me and black spots started to appear in my vision as I continued to kick my legs hoping I'll kick him hard enough to let go of me.

Suddenly my throat was released as I collapsed on the ground gasping for air.

My head pressed against the cold wooden floor as I let my tears roll out from my eyes towards my cheeks freely and clutched my bruised throat with my shaking hands.

Finally, the truth sunk and for the first time, I realized that I was so wrong all those time.

I always knew that he hated me but I never realized that he hated me enough to strangle and kill me.

" GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY SIGHT " he spat angrily as he kicked me hard and a scream escaped my lips as I heard a cracking sound.

I didn't need to be told twice as I painfully crawled towards the stairs and struggled to get up on my eyes.

My vision blacked out few time as I continued to struggle on the stairs and made my way towards my room.

I was out of breath by the time I reached my room and locked the door.

As soon as I locked the door I collapsed on the wooden floor.

It didn't matter if my ribs were broken, my back was bleeding or the cold air me due to a broken window.

What only mattered to me was the darkness that was coming to embrace me and is temporarily going to make me forget all about my pain, misery and my brother.

The last thing I thought before I gave into darkness is it'll better if I never woke up.

I felt myself slowly coming out of my consciousness as I started to hear a commotion from downstairs.

I kept my eyes closed knowing if I remained in darkness then I won't have to face him as darkness was my safe heaven away from all painful memories.

Suddenly my ocean blue eyes snapped open quickly as I heard a loud crash from downstairs and I hurriedly sat totally forgetting about my injuries.

As soon as I sat pain to shoot throughout my body making me bite my lips hard enough to draw blood from them.

I slowly crawled towards the door to heard what is this commotion about.

" I'll pay you back" I heard my brother shout in agony.

" Oh yes, you will but right now or I won't think twice before emptying my bullets in your head," a cold voice said.

" Give me few days I'll return you your money by the end of this month," my brother said.

A shriek left my mouth as I heard a loud bang followed by a whimper. 

I hurriedly covered my mouth with my both hands.

Did they...

Did they shoot him??

" Well looks like you we ran into a problem," the same cold voice said.

" Wh...what if I tr...trade something else in exchange for money?" I heard my brother ask.

" What do you have in mind?" the cold voice said "Looking at the condition of your house it doesn't look like you even have anything to trade" the cold voice continued.

" Aurora"

"Aurora come here" I heard my brother shout.

My body freeze as the realization sunk in my head.

He.....he's sel....selling me off.

No...no...no...no.

This can't be happening.

Oh god.

" Go bring her downstairs" a cold voice ordered and I felt heavy footsteps on the stairs as I backed in the farthest corner of the room trying to hide so no will ever find me.

I pulled both legs towards my chest and hid my head in between them.

But suddenly I was roughly yanked on my feet and a painful scream left my leave due to fear and ache in my body.

I felt myself being dragged downstairs as the pounding of my head returned and my vision blurred due to tears.

After few seconds I felt a cold metal under my chin as my face was lifted.

" Open your eyes, Bella" the same cold voice commanded.

" I said open your fucking eyes. I don't like repeating myself" the voice angrily shouted making me open my eyes in fear.

My eyes get locked with cold green ones and saw his green eyes widen before I heard him mutter " Mate" and the grip of the man loosened from my chin as saw his eyes soften for a few second.

Before I could understand anything his expression turned into a cold and hard one.

His jaw clenched as he turned his head towards my brother.

" I'm taking her," he said before he turned to look at me with his cold eyes.
