It’s been years since I left, but it feels like it was yesterday. All the sorrow I felt before was still fresh in my heart and my mind.

I kept asking myself why did it happen and why has it happened, but I still can’t find the answer to those questions. Maybe there is no concrete answer, but I keep on convincing myself that it is better than to force myself to stay in a situation that will be hard to get out of.

I am always thankful that it occurred, even though it was painful and hard for me to move forward, but it molded me and changed me into a better person.

If I hadn’t left that year, maybe I was still the old version of myself who keeps on begging, chasing, and suffering; maybe I would not have achieved my greatest ambition in life. I don’t know what comes into my mind to return to the Philippines. I can’t claim that I have already moved on fro
