A familiar woman showed up at us with her blonde hair and blue eyes and has the same facial features as Sigreen, my roommate. "Hi. I'm Isleen, your pilot for today. Remember, I’m prettier than my twin, Sigreen.” She said without blinking, before flipping her hair and walked away.

I chuckled, still not used to her sassiness. Isleen and I worked already on a mission before and believe me or not, she hates the fact that she has the same face as her twin, claiming that she’s unique.

“I agree, she’s prettier than her twin.” Wave said from beside me.

I chuckled, “I gotta say the twins are working hard today, aren’t they?”

Wave shrugged. Putting on my earmuffs and sunglasses, I closed my eyes as I feel the jet going on air.

Being an agent in Cypher Agency has its perks. And one of them is the unlimited access to every country and travels, as our jets and airplanes can land on any airport, with the pilot showing his watch to the security and immediately they knew who we are and granted access. The long process of going through security and all that airport stuff is not even necessary for us to begin with and that’s one way of us getting away with our weapons. Sigreen dropped us off at Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Wave and I used our fake passports and fake id, registered as Mister and Miss Adams.

“Phelidphelin pị kạb kār ḥạn nī mūn k̄hxng khuṇ”!” The guard said, greeting us. It means Enjoy your honeymoon.

“K̄hxbkhuṇ.” I replied, throwing him a flying kiss.” I forgot to mention, but the sunglasses I am wearing help me in speaking into every language, it has sensors that trigger when hearing any foreign language, showing me the translation and the earmuffs I wore lets me hear the pronunciation. I silently thank Sigreen and the agency’s inventions.

Thailand is such a beautiful country, full of foreigners' warm climate, perfect for a vacation. But also a lot of criminals hide here. It was around 1 in the afternoon. We checked in a hotel with the same fake names and rest. Wave arranged our weapons and opened his laptop. “The night club’s going to open at 9 in the evening.”

I nodded, tired. Let’s rest for a while, can we?” Wave agreed. We took a quick nap after that to prepare for tonight. Waking up at six in the evening, I took a quick shower and wore a black knee length skirt and white floral blouse, with my heels. Thailand is conservative in clothing and I have to be sexy while following the dress code. I look at the mirror to see my reflection. I thank my mom for giving me her genes that make it easy for me to blend in here. Wearing a contact lens all the time sucks. I put on my earrings and high tec watch.

Wave was not wearing a shirt when I finished getting ready. He was eating popcorn and doing something on his laptop. He was only wearing his boxers and I’m used to this. Sometimes, I forget that he’s a top agent behaving like that. I stared at his abs.

“Like what you see?” he smirked.

I throw a shirt on him. “Put on a shirt, Wave. Aren’t you gonna come with me?” I asked.

“Nope, little kitten. I’m gonna be preparing everything, your job for today is to get there, gather information, and show your charms to be a waitress.” Wave said, popping popcorn in his mouth.

“Where did you get that popcorn?”

“While you were sleeping, babe.”

I rolled my eyes at the term babe. I tolerate the word little kitten but I hate the word babe. That sounds disgusting.

“Wear your earrings okay? I’m gonna be talking to you while you’re there so don’t worry. Call me instantly when something happens. And don’t have too much fun.”

“What are you, my mother? And why are you reminding me, I’ve been an agent for years, Wave. Chill.”

“That’s a nightclub! For sure the men are gonna flirt with you all night.” He hissed.

“Why? You’re gonna get jealous, partner?” I raised my eyebrows, smirking. He didn’t reply.

“yes..” He trailed off. My eyebrows furrowed at him. Why is he acting weird?

I looked at my watch, I grabbed my sling bag, where I put all my makeup tools, or should I call, “Special weapons.” I left the hotel and rode a taxi and went to the Sweet Night Club, A-wut Saetang, the target’s night club.  A drunk man bumped into me, and I fake screamed to get Wave’s attention.

“What was it? Are you safe?” I heard Wave’s voice from my earrings, full of concern.

I chuckled. “Oh, you’re already on the line, partner? I didn’t know.” I sarcastically said. I hate the fact that he has to sit there while I do all the action.

“Don’t scare me like that! I was about to go there the moment you screamed.” Wave whispered.

I just chuckled as I spotted two bouncers by the door. “ID?” one of them said.

I grabbed my fake id and handed it to them, who's named, Ying Thamrongnawasawat, my Thai name.

The door opened as someone was excited and I saw what’s inside for a moment. There were a lot of foreigners. It was dim as disco lights filled the club. The bouncers nodded and opened the door for me. I took in the surroundings, pressing my high tec watch to take a picture of everything and send it to Wave. Nothing unusual, just a regular high-end nightclub as foreigners and old men, politicians went to.

I went to the drinks place and saw a bartender. I sat on the stool. I started crying to get the bartender’s attention. “What is wrong?” asked the bartender. So he speaks English…

“Why is life like this? My Thai dad abandoned me! I lived in America with my mom and I came here to meet my father but when I came, he had his own family! My boyfriend dumped me and I have no place to stay here! I need to find a job to go home. Do you know any job?” I ask, blowing off the snot on my nose for effect. “Please? Anything…”

“But why are you asking for a job in a club?” The bartender asked.

“My boyfriend just broke up with me here. He left me. Why do men leave me? Am I not good enough? Am I ugly?”

“No you’re not. I’m sure you deserve better.” he paused. “Wait, I’ll get our manager and see if we can hire you...I think we are needing for a waitress…” He then left. A woman appeared. She looked at me up and down, “ Come with me.” she said. I followed her and we went to an office. It was more quiet here and more bodyguards. I looked around to search for the boss but no sign of the man. She sat on the chair. “Do you have any experience working?”

“Yes, I had been a waitress for 3 years.” I handed her my id. “Please, I just need a job to get home. I’ll do anything.”

“You’re not a spy, are you?” She asked. I feigned innocence. “Spy? No, I’m not. I’m just looking for a job.”

She stared at me for too long, squinting her eyes at me. “Good.”

She kept on asking me questions and I answered all my lies. A waitress came and gave me a uniform and taught me the rules in the club. “You’re gonna start tomorrow, so make yourself familiar with things here.” I nodded.

I walked around the club to put bugs on the tables secretly for Wave to eavesdrop on conversations, to know who are other organizations involved in the fake money business.

“Mr. Saetang will be back in three days.’ I informed Wave through my earrings. “Yes, I heard it already from someone,” he replied.

A man came and flirted with me. “Follow me,” I said and walked to the bathroom.

“What were you doing?” I heard Wave whisper yelling at me.

“My mission?” I answered.

The man followed and touched my butt. I grimaced, eww. “You just let him touch you?!” Wave screamed at me from my earring.

“Well, things can’t be avoided right?” I said. He sighed.

The man leaned in to kiss me but I secretly got his wallet and got fake money. “Where did you get it?” I asked the man. He froze. I got my dagger and put it on his neck, “answer me, or I’ll slice your throat.”

“It's from the boss!”

“Where? Where do you make these things?” I gripped the dagger and pressed it on his neck deeper.

“Factory! Inside!” He yelled in pain. I let go and clicked my ring, making him drink the poison. Consider himself lucky because that will only make him lose his memories. If Wave did this, I’m sure the man will never be able to see the sun again. “Your suspicions are correct,” I whispered to my earring. “Let’s attack tomorrow. Go home for now.” “Copy.”

I left the bathroom and went to my manager to inform her I’m going home. She approved so I left the club.

I can’t wait to use my weapons tomorrow.

As I walked into the dark alley, I sensed someone following me. I subtly turned around and saw no one. I walked faster and a man appeared in front of me. He was wearing a suit. I stopped.

“Who are you?” I asked, just to buy time and grab my pistol. “What is happening there Agent Nova?”

Looks like it won't be that easy..

The man walked closer to me and I pointed my gun at him. “One more step and I’ll shoot.” The man raised his hands in the air, showing me his ID. “Relax, I am Agent Smith from the CIA, sent by the government.” I glanced at his ID and saw it was legit. “Don’t move, explain more.” “It seems the government wants to test your loyalty. I just came to inform you that.” With that, he left. Was that a threat from the government? “Good thing they didn’t hit the vitals.” I heard Mr. Martins’ voice. I was about to open my eyes but I grimaced in pain as I felt the sharp stabbing pain in my left leg. “They dared to fire at one of our agents? They are asking for war, Mr. Martins. We need to fight back.” Wave replied. “No, we still have the K-9 in our hands. What if the government will hire them against us? The k-9 are disloyal dogs, they will serve anyone just for amusement. This is what they want to happen.” “I know what you are planning, Agent Wave. Don’t you dare?” Mr. Martins left. Silence surrounded us until Wave spoke up. “I know you’re awake, open your eyes.” I opened my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him. “Boomer.” I looked around, I am in the agency’s infirmary. “How many hours have I been out?” “Two days.” “Oh…” I trailed off. “I can still walk right?” He looked at me. “I’m afraid not-” “What!?” I shrieked. “not for a few w

you may ask how I became an agent? Let me tell you everything in detail. I was taken aback by my memories years ago, memories that I had been trying to forget and bury. But these memories were too long but it felt like yesterday. "Bye, Dad," I yelled while descending the stairs. As soon as I reached the last stair, I was met with my dad's gaze. I went to kiss him on the cheek. "Okay then, wait for your driver he's going to drive you to scho--" before my father could finish his sentence, I cut it off. "--I'm fine, Dad. I can just walk and-" I said but it was my turn to be cut off by my father's powerful voice. "---Hira, my daughter." He looked at me pointedly. If someone is talking with my father, I’m certain that they will melt from the fear of his powerful voice. But I’m different. Living with him ever since I was born, I was used to his authoritative attitude. "I said you're going to wait for the driver." "But...I'm gonna be late-" I s

  • His Undercover Mission   Rule 10: Welcome to Cypher Agency

Everything happened so fast. We were attacked one day in our house, and I watched in horror as my dad got killed, and I can not even do anything. It was until then that a handsome young man in a suit appeared in front of me when I was almost stabbed. Like a knight in shining armor. I remember my father’s advice before. “Harris Miller?” I asked, confirming everything. He gave me a slight nod, and I got a bit relieved, my eyes tearing up. He held my hand and pulled me behind me, to protect me from the attacker. "Who do you work for?" I heard him asking the enemy. I tighten my grip on my savior’s arm, as he glared at the enemy, "I'd rather die." The enemy answered, spitting. "That can be arranged."My savior said, and he drew a line from one side of his throat to the other and push the body to the floor. I watched everything in silence, still in panic but forced myself to keep calm.

I took a seat, looking behind me to look for confirmation to Harris. Harris motioned his head to the seat. I nodded and sat."So what do you want first. Ms. Callan before we start our chat? Tea? Soda?"I cleared my throat. What am I nervous about? just because Harris said that it is boss does not mean that I have to bow my head to him. Right. That is the spirit, Hira. Gathering my confidence, I smiled politely. "It is okay. Sir. I have no time for that. I want to know why I am here? And who the hell are you?""Oh. Getting straight to the point, are we?" He asked. He cleared his throat when he saw the serious look on my face. "My name is Leonard Martins. You can call me Mr. Leo or Mr. Martins, or maybe...father."My eyes bulged out of its sockets. Father?Seeing my reaction, he smirked, crossing his arms in front of me. "It is just so easy, Ms. Hira Callan. We will tell you everything if you come with us."Questions rang around my head. I sho

  • His Undercover Mission   Rule 12: Train hard

It looks like I just ate my words back then. I did come back to them, realizing I have nowhere to go to. As of now, Harris Miller is taking me on a tour of the Cypher agency building. He's guiding me and telling me rules and regulations that I must follow. "So this is the training place.""The old man said that-""Old man? Ms. Hira Callan, that was the boss we are talking about. Call him boss or Mr. Martin or Mr. Leo.""Oh? Boss? Mr. Martin? Psh 'old man' suits him more."He had this straight face and chuckled. "Please be more careful with what you say, there is CCTV around.""Oh, whatever." I know that already, even to our house my dad installs it thinking that I don't know it. But I'm aware of it. My dad... I suddenly get sad."Are you okay? Ms. Hira Callan?""No. You keep calling me Ms. Hira Callan, stop that.""Then Ms. Hira?""Just Hira okay?""Okay. Ms.Hira- I mean Hira.""Why did the old man called you Wave?""

Wave asked me. "So how was your first day?""Oh, the usual," I remarked. "Though I want you to teach me how to combat training..." I trailed off. I'm getting sick with this self-defense. All I can do is defend myself, what if I had the opportunity to kill the enemy? What should I do? Take a shield instead of firing a gun? I snorted."It's because we train first mentally, physically,We'll train you on the basics first. We are just going easy on you because of Mr. Martins' orders.""Easy?" I rolled my eyes. "C'mon, you don't have to take it easy for me.""Then I will make it hard. The battle is not even starting yet, Ms. Hira Callan."Harris was not joking when he said that. I had been training for a month now and Harris became my self-defense instructor and bodyguard, as Mr. Martins wanted to always check up on me, scared that his friend, my dad, would choke him as a ghost when something happened to me.Yes, I ended up swallowing my pride and retur

  • His Undercover Mission   How it all ended

It all felt like a dream. Opening my eyes, I saw James beside me. He noticed me waking up so he ran to the door. “She’s awake already!” People came rushing into my bed and looked around. Nurses and doctors checked my state. The doctor sighed. “Thankfully, you just lost some blood. You would have been already dead if you took the whole hit.” And they left. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. “Huh?” James appeared again with some water and made me drink first. “I’m glad you’re awake now.” “How many days have I been out? What happened?” I asked, still confused. I looked around, it was the Cypher Agency’s hospital ward. Then I remembered my brother.

“We’ve arrived.” Announced one of our K-9 companions. “I want you all to stay here first until I give a signal. It’s me that they want.” I said to them and they nodded. All of us were prepared to win, even with only a little preparation time. I got out of the car and spotted the old warehouse. This was what the coordinates say according to the K-9’s investigations. I’ll find you, brother. Entering the warehouse, the place seemed eerily quiet...strangely quiet. I was not even attacked… Weird. Looking around, I headed straight and saw a stage in front. “Hello,

I don't want to side to anyone, not to my father, not to my brother... so I’ll build my own. “We don’t have time and I need back up to infiltrate.” I continued. “I don’t have a choice but to trust you guys. This blood in my hands is from the sniper woman who killed Coach Brian. No, I did not kill the sniper woman but she was killed by another person. So I need your help. Come with me first and I’ll explain everything. But first, I want you all to know I am not Zen.” Silence fell and they all just stared at me. When I heard a bullet striking from afar and Coach Brian fell on the ground, with blood gushing down his mouth. Looks like it started then. I had already expected this to happen. They got tired of bombs that they chose a sniper to hunt me now? I won’t let them win this time. This time, I’ll fight back. Deciding what to do now, I’ve dialed Uncle Rush’s number. “Hello Zinnia? What is it?” I heard him asking from the other line. Smirking, I said. “Uncle Rush, I think I know what I’m going to do now.” “What is it?” He asked. “I’ll go back to school tomorrow.” Yes, I’ve decided now. That will be the first part of my plan. I could hear Uncle Rush sighing from the other line. “I’m glad that’s your decision. I hope you are well prepared for everything, Zen Alaric Malcolm,” he said, addressing me as my brother’s name. Unpacking all my stuff, I took a rest and slept early that night. Tomorrow for sure.

Think quick, Zinnia. Quick. How should I solve this? “Oh...I think my sister got home.” I said, going to my last resort and ending the call. Descending the stairs and going to the door, I fixed my appearance, letting my brunette hair cascade down my back, and didn’t wear my contact lenses to hide my blue eyes. It’s time to be myself then. Opening the door I spotted James and feigned a confused look and then smiled at him. “Oh, are you one of my brother’s friends?” I saw a blush that crept on James' cheeks as soon as he saw me. “Uhm...hi?” He greeted, sending a half-smile, seemingly nervous. Damn it.I don’t have a choice then.Touching the answer button, I cleared my throat and pretended to cough. “Oh hey James, you called?” My heart was racing so fast in nervousness. I’m used to him getting like this but somehow, it feels new, “Know what, dad?” He glanced at the bedside table and checked to see some dust.
