THIRD PERSON'S POV

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Just a few inches and he'll lose his Triantáfyllo.

No, he can't let that happen. He moved fast and quick.

Only a little more difference was left between Scarlett and the chandelier.

He needs to be fast.

The moment he took another step, a loud thud was heard and then the breaking of glass followed.

His heart stopped beating for a moment. All he could think was his Triantáfyllo, his rose might be there, under the broken chandelier.

He quickly ran towards her but tripped and fell, the glass pieces pierced into his arm and legs.

But he didn't stop.

He didn't stop until he reached his wife.

He sighed a breath of relief when he saw only the Chandelier was there, broken chandelier.

His wife wasn't there.

His gaze moved in search of her and stopped when he saw her being engulfed in the arms of someone else.

That person must have saved my wife. He thought and walked towards them

Scared Xander was scared, terrified of what might come out the mouth of the Doctor who has been working for him for years. He has never gotten any news in hospital that would make his smile or make his heart relieved or make him thank anyone. That's the reason he never trusted these big buildings known to save people's lives but at the end, he also knew, on this earth, besides the so called god he doesn't believe in, doctors are the one who might be able to save lives of fragile humans. THIRD PERSON'S POV _______________________________________________________________________________________ Mike's words swept the floor beneath Xander's feet. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His Triantáfyllo would never do such a thing. She's strong and always find solutions to her problems, there's no reason she would try to kill herself.Xander refused to believe it. "You're wrong, doctor. My wife would never do that." He coldly answered Mike. Somehow, this answer provided relief to the doctor. He hated to think that she would ever try to kill herself because of Xander, when he knows how much Xander loves her. There was only one other option left now. The possibility of which he never wanted to consider. It was perilous, threatening and too dangerous. But that was the only way left. The doctor sighed turning his gaze around the hallway before looking back at the stressed out Xander. "If she didn't try to take her life, there's only one other possibility then...." X

THIRD PERSON'S POV_______________________________________________________________________________________The plush leather seat was pressed under the heavy weight of doctor's rear. Xander took the place next to him, his strong hands on steering wheel. The soft breeze outside was the only sound that could be heard from the half open window on the doctor's side. The silence that prevailed in the car was proof how much tensed the atmosphere was. It's like you know a big block of stone is going to fall over you but you can't do anything about it, you can't move to get away nor can you stop it.You can just wait but the wait seems endless as you can see the block of stone coming but don't really know when it will fall on you.Mike had no idea how to tell the person sitting right next to him of his wife's condition. His heart clenched at the thought. His eyes swayed to the young billionaire every two minutes. His broad shoulders tensed, teeth grinding ever so tightly again each other as h

THIRD PERSON'S POV _______________________________________________________________________________________ Looking at him, Mike got terrified too. He has worked with many men with aggressive nature and temper problems but that's the problem with Xander. Men in Mafia used to get mad, raging with fire and thoughts of killing swirling around in their minds. One could easily tell from their mad countenance, the fury and wrath they possess and could as well possibly unleash anytime. But Xander, he was always known to be cold and crisp, he doesn't get hot in rage and anger. Instead, he gets cold. So freezing cold!Biting cold! He turned imperturbable and calmly rigid. One would never know what's going on his mind, if he wants to kill or torture or destroy. His eyes never gave away a single emotion of his to anyone ever. Though those same eyes could easily read others' emotions very well and know the working of their minds. "Xander, please try to calm down. We'll do everything we can t

THIRD PERSON'S POV _______________________________________________________________________________________ SAME DAY A FEW HOURS BEFORE Elray was getting ready to go meet his precious sister. Honestly, he hasn't been this happy in so long. It almost feels surreal. Looking into the mirror, he smiles at the man in navy blue three piece suit. He looked good! Yes!He mentally patted himself on his back.Only if his wife could notice that.... But that's not something he's going to stress over today.Today, he has decided to be happy so he's going to be happy. And that's the only thing that matters. Quickly walking out of his room and stepping down the glass stairs, his gaze went to big mahogany doors towards the left side, leading to the party hall. Subconsciously, without realising it, his feet took him towards the hall and slowly, he opened the big, wide doors. On entering inside, the first thing he gaze went to, was the high top ceiling, where the chandelier from yesterday had

THIRD PERSON'S POV _______________________________________________________________________________________ Dark shades were painting the blue sky by each passing minute covering the cities and towns with it's soft starry blanket. The wind blew silently outside. The leaves of the trees swayed slightly with the cold wind. Doctor Mike had left a few moments ago leaving Xander a mess of conflicted emotions. The Mansion was awfully quite at this time. No sound of anything or anyone could be heard except the old ticking of the grandfather clock. The dark furniture fitting the insides of it made it all more terrifying with the darkness surrounding the woods around the huge mansion. No light was lit up, moonlight enveloped the walls and rooms in its soft embrace. Still sitting on the black couch, his gaze wandered upstairs to the left of the corridor leading to his Triantáfyllo's room. He has specially gotten that room ready for her knowing she won't be comfortable with him but he did h

THIRD PERSON'S POV _______________________________________________________________________________________ On the other hand, Lucas was still in the hospital. The small hand was somewhere between nine and ten and the bigger hand was a little past seven indicating it was around twenty five minutes approximately before clock struck ten at night. Eyes fixed on the clock hanging on the wall in front of him, he dragged a hand hand down his face to rub away his tiredness. Mike had returned to hospital about an hour ago but hadn't said anything to Lucas about anything. Nor there was any trace of Xander Knight. He couldn't help but wonder where was Xander or why he wasn't here at the hospital yet? As far as he knew, that jerk claimed to love Scarlett so where was he now? Lucas had wanted to get up and ask doctor what he and Xander did talk about but the very next minute, he saw Ryan Kingsley and his wife with a little kid, entering the corridor and heading for Scarlett's room. Moonlight radiating on her still and numb body. Tracing his long, deft fingers along her cheeks softly, Xander breathed out. She is his love. She is the woman he loves and he wouldn't let her get away from him.No one can take her away from him. Not even god. Maybe love is a small word to describe the way he feels for his raven haired beauty. The passion and adoration he feels when looking at her beautiful dark brown eyes is something he has never felt before and will never feel ever with anyone but with her and only her. Her dark tresses were laying around her beautiful face. She was beautiful. Always have been. Even in this hospital gown, she looked beautiful. But the thing that disturbed Xander the most were the tubes attached to her body.So many tubes were going over her body to the two big machines standing on both sid

The flowers of various different colours were arranged in a uniform manner around the entire boundary of the hall. The ruby red and pure pink were the ones that dominated among the flower arrangements. Beautifully embroidered and shimmering golden, thick curtains laced with soft white laces had formed an exquisite bow at the place where the curtain threads are tied, along with the huge hanging chandelier sparkling like diamonds on above and the silent but peaceful cover of the dark night, it all made this date night more special. As I marvelled at the luxurious decorations, a sound came from behind me and no later I felt a light stubble grazing the back of my neck. "Ah, Xander! You startled me."I tried to turn around to face him but his arms held me right around my waist and pulled me closer. "No, just stay like this." He whispered as his breath fell on the skin of my neck. "Huh." I took a deep breath. To be honest, in such a beautiful atmosphere, I have had already lost my he

FLASHBACK CONTINUESI stiffened in his arms the moment I heard his question. Will I ever leave him?Of course, this was a question whose answer I already had in my mind.A year.I'll leave after a year which now might have already been reduced to a few months. But how can I tell him that? So, instead of answering, t tried to change the subject."You...Why are you so...good at speaking Hindi?"Even though what I wanted to ask was "why are you so good to me?".He tightened his arms around me and answered."I'm not.""Hmm?""I wanted to surprise you so I learned that sentence specially for that moment." He voice went low as he spoke the last few words.I could almost feel his breath spraying on my earlobe."Ohh." I nodded in response."I thought you knew Hindu." Chuckling at my own assumption, I turned around."Tell me about you." I said to him, looking straight into his eyes.I wanted to know more about him. Just know, he talked about his mother. I've never heard of her before so I am c

THIRD PERSON'S POVTWO DAYS BEFOREIt was currently 10 at night and the streets were still filled with people moving around. However, if one looked closer and more intently, they would find that most people here were couples. It was a small street with full of shops such a bakeries, cafés and some toy and flower shops. But still, the most dominant smell around the whole street was of bread and cakes. It seemed as if happiness had found home here but still in one corner of a small coffee shop, sat a lonely figure. His heart, full of heartache and sorrow, was aching badly. For some reason, he, at first instinct, chose the window seat and sat there.Maybe he wanted to torment himself more.Valentine week starts tomorrow and all the couples out there were having a warm time as they walked hand in hand or hugging their significant partners in a warm embrace in such cold winter weather. Why?Why can't he enjoy that too?He also wanted to enjoy such warmth with his beloved. "Umm....I don know."I stuttered.Walking towards him, I smiled awkwardly and answered,"Maybe someone put it outside by mistake."Xander just nodded before walking past me towards that bouquet of roses."It's a mistake then. But I don't like someone giving roses to my wife, even when it's a mistake."Turning around, he flashed me a cold grin."So, let's throw it away."Yeah sure.I had no qualms about throwing this bouquet away so I didn't say anything.By why do I feel a bad premonition? Did I forget something. He turned around and carelessly picked away that bouquet of roses but just then a note slips fell down from amongst the flowers.Oh...!The note slip! That's what I forgot.I immediately panicked."Xander, let's-"But it was already too late. "It's already the 7th of February."I mumbled while crunching on the special cookies made by my husband.Valentine week has already started and it's evening now but still no roses from this handsome but ice block of a husband of mine.Xander glanced at me before he went back to pouring a cup of coffee for himself and a cup of tea for me.Now, let's clear something up. Yes, he's like a handsome devil just as in those Hot CEO novels and I'm really proud of having such an amazing and handsome man as my husband who's also a chef but..but, the coffee he drinks is the same taste-like, bitter.Blergh!(Just mimicking, don't take it serious)So where were we? Yes, coffee! His bitter coffee, yes. So like the coffee he drinks is not completely black coffee like told in those novels and dramas but the taste is still the same bitter one.So for me, tea is still better."Thanks." I said before taking a sip of my tea."So....""Yes?"I glared at him. Hmph!"What "yes?"?! You didn't even look up fro

"Don't...don't laugh at me." Scarlett stuttered but she still laid on the ground. Raising her hand and putting it on her temples, she rubbed and cried out,"I'm so weak...ah, I can't even get up now. My legs ache...." Casting a side glance at Xander, she continued with her acting.Of course, she came here to do a prank on him.Hoping to disturb in his meeting and that still can be done. And yes, she had already confirmed with the head butler that he was not in a very important meeting as Xander had not given any strict instructions to not disturb him. So she felt it was okay. He's my husband after all.In this way, she convinced herself. Anyhow, now she has fallen down.Hmph! Who said you can't prank after you've fallen on your butt, *cough* *cough* in her case, stomach? "Ahh...Xander, it hurts...." She pitifully cried out him. Her lips pursed together to give the impression as if she's trying really hard to hold back her tears from dripping down. Xander, on the other hand, doe

Pursing my lips, I stifled a yawn as he once again lectured me.I glared at him being sleepy which just made me eyes water instead of looking fierce."Got it." I waved my hand."What do you mean you got it? You need to learn this and recite two time." He insisted."Oh god Xander.....just lemme sleep." I again whined. My sleep, I know you are waiting for me but I'm sorry, my husband is not leaving me tonight.I chuckled to myself thinking what if I say this sentence out loud.Well, let's find out.Looking to a corner towards the fireplace, I muttered, deliberately in a loud voice to make this husband of mine hear."My sleep, I know you are waiting for me but I'm sorry, my husband is not leaving me tonight."Xander's eyes narrowed as he looked at me the moment those words left my mouth. His lips curled up at the corner of his mouth."What did you just say, mou triantafyllo?"I huffed and didn't answer him. Maybe I shouldn't have said that but it's not like I said anything wrong."Want t

Clouds layered across the sky in thick density this day. The rays of sun seemed like they were playing hide and seek with them, coming and going the other moment as if they could just slip out of one's hand at any moment.Xander had not slept the entire night yesterday. He was awake all night, sitting beside his Triantafyllo, just as her guardian. And yes they were still sleeping in separate rooms as it had only been a week since she was discharged. And he had yet to bring up the matter of sleeping in the same room with her.He sighed."ómorfi mou, triantáfylló mou."He placed a long kiss on her forehead as he bent down and stood up a few moments after."Hmm?" Scarlett stirred up as she felt a soft and warm touch upon her face."Sleep sone more. I'll get something for you to eat." He gently pushed the strands of her hair sticking out behind and again laid a soft kiss on her lips before getting up."Uhmm....don't go." Scarlett murmured in her sleep as her hold on his arm grew tight. He

The early rays of the sun shined on the two bodies cuddled together under the white sheets through the large window in the room as the curtains flew slightly because of the wind. It was a nice weather. Nice enough that Xander didn't sleep whole night. His eyes only kept staring at his Triantafyllo. After the doctor had diagnosed her, she has been sleeping till now in her room and he had stayed beside her for the whole night. He was thinking of the words Doctor Mike told him last night when she had fainted. "I don't know how to say this but I guess memories from those years back might be coming back now. It might be bits or fragments of sone moments but this is typically the case when a coma patient or the one who has had amnesia starts remembering things. She must have been overwhelmed by the memory or may be its possible that she might have tried hard to think about it and get the memory of that specific moment altogether which scientifically speaking, is almost not possible and
