Chapter 9 : Am Sorry

The car ride was silent. The silence stretched as Ellen was very hurt and angry at how he shouted at her. Ellen didn't want to talk to him so she gazed out at the trees and houses that came in view.

Suddenly, Ellen heard a sound on her phone. She looked at her phone and saw a message from Karen.

Karen: Blake told me your guy is angry so you guys are going home.

Ellen: Karen he's not my guy and yes he's angry because the company is being handed to his uncle.

Karen: At least it's not permanent. We will be given it back when he turns twenty-one.

Wait how did Karen know that. They didn't say anything about that at the party and I don't think they will leave such private information news. I need to ask her.

Ellen: Karen how did you know that?

Karen: Can't say it on the phone. I will tell you tomorrow at school. 

Ellen: Okay

Karen: Am sorry Ellen I wanted to come with you but I can't leave Blake and come with you.

Ellen: it's okay. Tonight is yours so enjoy it you have fun.

Karen: Thank you for understanding. L😍ve Y🥰u.

Ellen shook her head at how silly Karen was.

" Was that Karen? Blake asked. Ellen was very angry and didn't want to have any conversation with Blake but she answered anyway.

Yes, she said and turned her attention back outside. The car was once again silent. Ellen's house came to view and she thanked God that she was home. At least she wouldn't be seeing him, Logan.

Logan packed in front of the house. Ellen didn't wait for him to open the door for her and quickly got out. 

Thank you for the ride and Good night, She muttered. Ellen was making her way inside when Logan's hand grabbed hers. She turns around to shrug him away but what he said next stopped her.

"Am sorry Ellen. There was a long pause.

" I didn't mean to shout at you, is just that, I have a problem with my family and I got more angered today so I took it on you ". Logan says scratching his head weirdly.

That doesn't mean that you should scream at me look that. You made me feel like I was annoying. Like a pest who was troubling you, and you want to get rid of. It's not my fault you are having trouble with your family and I didn't ask you to come with you. You have me no choice but to come, Ellen muttered angrily.

" Believe me, you are far from annoying. And I forced you because I go with me.

You forced me there and didn't even allow me to get a glass of water, Ellen whispered making Logan chuckle. Am standing here serious and you are laughing. Fine am leaving, She says annoyed.

" Wait wait wait, am sorry. I have never been in a situation like this.

I don't usually apologize about anything but I find myself doing that simply with you. I don't tell anyone about my problems but I did with you. Shouldn't that tell you anything?"

What? Ellen asked.

" That I like you ". Ellen's breath caught in her throat. She didn't expect him to say this to her. She just stood there looking at him like he had grown three heads. 

They stood there staring at each other not blinking. Ellen's heart was beating so fast at that moment, she thought she would have a heart attack.

" Please say something Ellie ". Ellen who stood like a statue finally answered. 

I don't know what to say. Am just shocked. All this while I thought you were doing this because you hated me but now finding out that you like me, it's new information that I haven't digested yet.

" I know you are surprised, but I've never felt like this for any girl. My attraction to you, wanting you to be with me all the time that I practically had to blackmail you or you wouldn't have gone to the event with me.

Logan continued, I fell for you the first day we met but I didn't know how to express it.

Ellen's eyes widened at his confession. She didn't know what to say as she was still shocked.

" All I want is for you to say back that you like me too. Because I know that you feel something for me.

Do I, Ellen asked herself. Logan is right she felt something deep down for him or else why would she get carried away and fight with Rebecca over him. Why does her heart sometimes accelerate because of Logan? But was she ready to give in to any relationship? She knew for a fact that boys are big liars and cheat even though they tell you they love you every day so a simple confession wasn't going to change her judgment. 

All these thoughts kept ranging in her head.

" I know you think I will break your heart but I won't. I like you, I do. All you have to do is give us a chance, Logan whispers making it sound like a plea. He looked so vulnerable, Ellen thought. If anyone told had told her that Blake would be confessing his feelings to her she would have laughed, but now not so much.

You are a Playboy as a matter of fact, and I don't know you so I can't be with you. Am sorry.

Ellen says and turned walking away. " Stop! Logan screamed making Ellen stop in her tracks. " You don't want me now, but that doesn't mean you will never want me. Give me a chance to court you. Ellen turns to look at him. 

" Give me time to court you. If you don't want me after two months then I will walk away. Ellen, please give us a chance, Logan pleaded.

Ellen looked at him for seconds then finally she answered. Okay, I will give us a chance. Logan instantly picked her up and twirled her around in happiness.

Put me down Logan you are going to make me dizzy. " Sorry, Logan says putting her down. 

I still haven't forgiven you yet. " What, I thought you had already done that that's why you are giving us a chance, Logan crooned. No, You hurt me, and am still angry. I will forgive you when am ready to.

" Tengo formas de hacer que me perdones fácilmente ángel ". Logan whispered in her ears making her shiver. Ellen understood what he was saying to her because her father was half Italian. It's a good thing dad thought me Italian, She thought.

( I Don't worry angel, I have many ways to make you forgive me )

Okay, Let's call it a night. Good night Logan. Tonight was something, she says making Logan chuckle. Good night Ellie ".

Seriously, a nickname. Don't call me that it makes me feel like a child. She spouts.

Logan went close to her and held her by the waist making her nervous. Suddenly, Ellen's palm became sweaty and cold. He moved his head closer to hers. Is he going to kiss me? Ellen asked herself.

Oh my, oh my God, oh my God. She kept screaming in her head. 

When he was close, he moved his face and pecked her cheeks making her blush.

" Good night angel. See you tomorrow at school, he says and loosened his hand on her waist. Ellen went inside and locked the door.

She went to the window to spy on Logan but was still standing there and caught her looking. He winked at her and went to his car and drove away.

Ellen wondered what would happen tomorrow as she made her way to her room.
