Chapter 3 : Logan Knight

Logan walked to his locker in thought. Today was a hard day for him since he had a disagreement with his father. He couldn't believe why he wouldn't make him the CEO of Knights cooperation. 

After all, his father is sick and needs to live in the country for treatment so he didn't understand why he wouldn't step down. It's not like he wasn't capable, his father knows he is the smartest in his class. 

Even though Logan is arrogant, he still learns hard and always gets good grades before he knew he was the sole heir to all the wealth. He learns because he wanted to be capable and make a bigger legacy than any other man that has ever lived. He wants to make his father proud. 

And now that is his time to shine he has handed the responsibility to his uncle till he turns twenty one telling him he didn't want to burden him. Burden me my foot, he thought angrily.

Logan was so busy in thought he didn't look anywhere and bumped into a small frame. She was about to fall but he caught her hand preventing her from falling. That's when she looked at him and all his breath left his body. He was blown away by her beauty. 

She was gorgeous. She didn't have makeup on, just an eyeliner. She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Just to feel her tapered waist he pulled her to him.

A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. It was a pleasure to see her flowing, sunlight blonde hair. 

Her enticing, constellation-blue eyes gazed at me over her puffy, heart-shaped lips. Her lips would taste like strawberry sweet when he kissed them, he thought Shamelessly.

She was breathing him in as if her life depends on it. He was happy that even she was affected by him the way he was with her.

He didn't want her to notice that he was looking. So he pretended to be annoyed.

" If you are done checking me out and smelling me now, could you let me go ".

No matter how much he wanted her body close, he didn't want her to see the effect she had on him before he knows her. She quickly let him go as if she had been burnt.

" Am sorry she stuttered and blushed like crazy ". 

Logan smiled in his head at her tomato-looking face. He could see she was shy because her eyes constantly glanced on the floor whenever she looks at him. 

Am sorry, She said again stating She would be late for class and was about to pass him but he caught her hand. She turns looked at him with her impeccable eyes. 

We will meet again he says and smirked at her letting go of her hand. He watch her till she was no longer in my view. He went to his locker and took out his thing. He Sights because he is late today because of his father, He wasn't in the mood to explain himself to Miss. Atkins.

I don't like lies but I would have to lie because I don't need their poking noise in my affairs, he thought. He Sights and made his way towards class. When he entered, everyone's concentration was on the board. 

He looked around the room and saw a familiar girl's hair color and I knew it was her. He grinned and made my way to his seat but he heard his name being called my Miss Atkins. "Mr. Knight, my I know why you are late? She asked. 

I wanted to tell her it was none of her business but I kept my cool. " I was late because the road was jammed, he says annoyed.

He looks up meets a pair of surprised emerald green eyes. She was surprised to see him there he could tell. So we meet again angel, the world is too small. He thought. 

She quickly averted her eyes from mine and look in her books. "Mr. Knight, when I was coming I didn't come across any traffic". She says flatly thinking that she had trapped me but I was Logan Knight and I never lose. If you came without any traffic that doesn't mean that there was no traffic when I was coming, he defended. 

He knows that some of the people in the class know that he was lying but they knew best to keep quiet. "Okay, you can go but, next time I will do a proper investigation and when I found out you are lying, you will be sorry".

Don't worry Miss. Atkins, there won't be any next time. I said arrogantly and made my way to my seat. The class continued but my only focus was on the emerald eyes girl. 

I wondered her name. Her friend beside her told her something that made her shift now and then in her seat. She turned her eyes towards me and meets my eyes and as always, She glance away from me.

The bell soon rang for a lunch break. Ellen and Karen left the class. Ellen didn't look around because she knows who she will see and I didn't want to see him because it would her nervous. 

They went to the cafeteria the whole school was there busy eating and chatting.

" Ellen, What are you thinking you have been thinking and nervous ever since Logan entered the class. Do you have a crush on him? Because if you do tell me ". 

No no no, who said I had a crush on him. It's just that he's been, you know looking at me so much and it makes me uncomfortable. 

He has been looking at you, OMG he likes you, Ellen. I don't t think so, She thinks whiles taking at a tray. I want a sandwich and a milkshake please, Ellen ordered. I want the same Karen blurts beside her. 

They took our food and went to sit near a window. Karen and Ellen pass by Rebecca's and her group table and she looks at Ellen with so much hatred. Ellen wanted to prove to her that she wasn't afraid so she also looked at her with the same intensity. Both of them sat down and started digging into their food. 

" She is insecure about you, Karen whispered". What me, why would she be insecure about me, Ellen asks in surprise. " She has been trying to get Logan's attention but unfortunately, he didn't give a shit about her ". He only sleeps with her and nothing more. You haven't spent even a week here and you already got him crazy about you so she's insecure that you can take Logan from her, Oh wait he doesn't even belong to her. She said chuckling". 

Why would she be insecure of me? It's not like Logan likes me or anything, she thought. Well she shouldn't be intimidated by me, I mean look at me and her.

She's classy, beautiful, hot, and the cheerleader of this school, and look at me, am not classy, am not gorgeous like her, am not popular and not hot so I don't see why Logan would even show any interest in me. 

" Don't underrate yourself, Ellen, Yes indeed, you are not classy, popular, or beautiful than her. But you are smart, intelligent, kind, full-spirited, cute. 

Taking holding of Ellen's hand. She compliments, You are not beautiful but gorgeous inside out. 

You don't need any makeup or plastic surgery to define your beauty, you are a natural and that is the difference between you and her. 

You glow you, don't ever underrate like that". After she finished Ellen had tears in her eyes. And how did you know all of that? You've just met me.

" I don't need days to determine who you are. Like I said, you shine inside out ". That is the nicest anything anyone has said to me who is not my parent, Ellen says. 

You are welcome, Karen responds. " I mean have you seen her surgery noise it is hideous, she crooned and both of them burst into uncontrollable laughter. Ellen turns her head and sees Logan.

Logan entered the cafe with his friends and he was looking straight at me. All my smiles dies. 

Karen traced my eyes to where my attention now was. " I see your lover boy has come to liberate you from the hands of Rebecca, she softly whispered in my ears".

Ellen glares at her, don't you have anything better to do, She says showing her annoyance but Karen  kept on laughing. 

" Don't you want to know anything about your crush? I don't Ellen declares. But you can tell me anyway. " Okay, then I guess I won't tell you since you don't care".

Ellen knew what she was doing, she was trying to make her admit that she wants to know about Logan's life. Okay, tell me about him, she asks. 

" Now you're talking, Okay so Logan is the son of Eric knights, one of the richest men in the world. His father owns multiple businesses across the globe but the base of all the business is kights corporation and Logan is the heir to all that fortune. 

So you got yourself a billionaire darling, Karen says. " Am not going to jump on him because of him being a billionaire or anything. Am here to learn not to date billionaires and again I have made up my mind not to get into any relationship because it always leads to heartbreak. 

" One day you will meet someone who will change your perspective in love and you would see that love is a beautiful thing, Karen croons dreamily". 

Karen are you in love or have ever been in love because you seem like a love expect? "yes, she answered ". Really, who is it to tell me? Urth, it's one of Logan's friends the one in a black jacket. His name is Blake Woods".

Ellens eyes traveled to him. He's handsome, she says. "Yes, why wouldn't he be, all of Logan's friends are good-looking, she said dreamily". So, does he know?, Ellen asks. 

" No, I haven't told him because I have haven't talked to him in two years ". So you inew him before you came here? Karen nodded. But why haven't you talked to him for two years, Ellen asks. " It's a long story. I will tell you later. Ellen nods. She looks up and sees Blake and Logan looking at them. Ellen watchs Blake looking at Karen. She could see the attraction he had for Karen in his eyes. I think he likes you too. 

" I hope so, now all I have to do master the courage to confess how I feel to him without seeming like a golddigger who wants to be with him for fame, Karen mutters ". Okay am done eating, can we go, Ellen asks. Okay, let's go. 

Both of them went out but Ellen still felt a pair of eyes watching her. Am going to the washroom so go ahead I will join you soon, Karen nods.

Ellen went into the washroom room and did her business. She was coming from there when a hand touched her waist and pushed her onto the wall.
