Daniel's POV

I stared at the sheets in front of me but was not able to make any sense out of what I was doing. It was very tiring because I had been flipping from beginning to the end of the page. There was no way that I was going to be able to concentrate.

"Alpha, please there are three people here to see you." He told me and I was pissed. Anger welled up inside of me. I didn't want to see anyone when I was still trying to figure something out.

Seeing her in that state made my heart beat faster than I expected. The last time that ever felt this way was when...

"No, I don't want to see anyone unless they are pretty important. Tell me, are they that important?" I inquired and he shook his head.

"Who are they?" I asked, intrigued.

"I don't know who they are but they say that they are part of the people who are trying to make a treaty with our pack, I guess. They are still at the border. I didn't allow them in until I received an order from you." He replied and I smiled at him.

Abigail's POVGetting out of bed with my limbs glued to the bed wasn't a pretty sight so I decided that I needed a change. It was obvious that my lower limb was paralyzed or stiff whichever rocked the boat. My heart thumped as I thought of it. There would be no reason for me to walk with these legs anymore meaning that my life was over. "Are those tears I see?" I heard Daniel speak and I almost jumped out of my skin. I didn't know that he had been there for a very long time. Just how long had he been watching me?"Good morning, Abigail." He whispered.I ran my tongue against my lips to be able to moisten it and get myself. I didn't know what to do with him in the mix. It was almost as though there was something else fishy. "Good..." I coughed heavily when the dryness hit me. My throat was very dry and I needed some water. Daniel handed me a glass of water which I tried to hold but found my hands shaking. I shook my head, "No.""Yes." He said and held me up.Electricity cackled in

Abigail's POVThe doctor was a bit confused as to what he should do. "I'm sorry, Sir. How are you feeling?" He inquired from me, falling perfectly into character.I nodded but my muscles protested violently. There was nothing wrong with me a few minutes ago but immediately he entered, I started feeling more pain. "Thank you for caring for me. I heard your words yesterday." I spoke and his eyes widened He smiled at me before remembering his manners. "Yeah, that's my job. I'm happy you're alive and well."We heard a growl and he snapped back into professionalism. "I don't know what you're waiting for. Why don't you do your damn job instead of smiling at her like a fool in love." Daniel snapped. I stopped myself from rolling my eyes in annoyance, there was no reason for me to talk about it and I don't understand why there was a need for him to try and screen the people in my life when I didn't do the same thing to him. "I'm sorry, Alpha." The doctor replied and I shook my head.Danie

Daniel's POVI was annoyed by the fact that she was getting interested in another man. Boy I didn't know what the hell was wrong with me. This was absolutely the most confused I had been. I needed to get laid to get rid of the anger that I was feeling. I stared at her through the balcony. I didn't usually bring people to my cottage but I had broken my rules and brought her twice even went as far as banishing Laurie. This must be a spell. Abigail was even getting bolder by the day. Was I under the influence of the curse? That was the only reason that this could be happening. It was time for me to seek the witch. I took a guard, that was the only thing she required. Her abode was at the outskirts of the town. No one knew her real identity save me and Jake. I brought out my phone and dialed his number. He took some minutes before finally picking up and I turned sideways. Why the hell was he wasting too much time?"I'm sorry, I was trying to get to where my phone was. Good morning Alp

Abigail's POVI woke up in another room and I felt a bit energetic. My legs weren't shaking anymore so I placed them on the ground tentatively, testing my legs, and at the end of the day, I finally realized that there was a cast on my legs.I didn't remember having any injury on that site but I shrugged. It was probably his way of caring for me so I didn't want to disturb him. Instead I just stared at the door and decided to go out. Being holed up in here wasn't a good idea at all for me so thought about it again and discovered that even if I didn't want to say anything at the end of the day, I would be forced to come out. Where was Laurie? That was my main fear. There was no way that she would not search for me wherever I was. It was still a surprise that she hadn't come yet. I saw the chef that I had seen the very first day I was brought in here. I didn't remember where I saw him anymore and I only just rested from trying to think about it. It wasn't going to work out. "Good morn

Struggles. Abigail's POVDaniel walked in with a pep in his step and I jumped on my feet. This uncalculated movement made me yelp and fall. Okay, he ended up saving me and I didn't even imagine that there would be a problem from anywhere. I only stared at him.Electricity courses through my skin leaving me with goosebumps in its wake. "I'm sorry.""Get out of here." He spat and I tried to move but his hand clamped on mine preventing any movement from me. It was annoying and also hurtful at the same time. I saw the chef disappear out of the door. I could feel the energy thrumming through his veins. Was he about to kill me? From what I knew, I hadn't done anything to warrant his wrath recently. Was it because I left the room? I was tired and bored and didn't want to stay in one place forever. I should have just stayed here and prevented him from getting angry. "I'm..." A loud growl ended my conversation. I quickly bowed my head, trying to move my legs which were a bit sore. I'm sure

Traitors. Abigail's POVDealing with the fact that he was also struggling like me was too hard to wrap my head around. He didn't look himself and I feared for my life. I didn't understand him. I think this was the most complex man that I had ever met in my life. I didn't understand why there would be no movement from anyone in the nearest building. The wind grew worse, there was no way that it wasn't going to resort to a storm."Have you been able to get rid of the rogues?" I heard Daniel ask and I decided to walk towards him.I hated being in the dark especially when it had to do with something so important to me. I peeped through the crack in the door and saw that there was a bit of annoyance on his face. He was talking to someone, I had never seen him."What do you mean by no? I'm going there now. If you don't get them, consider yourself dead. I don't mind if you walk around in this storm, you can also die while at it but that won't change anything. I need a solution as soon as as

Succumbing.Daniel's POVThat girl wielded much more power over me than I expected. This was getting out of hand. I didn't want a situation whereby I would consider getting her as a second wife. Call it denial but I can only assure you that there's no other way that I could leave her in this situation. I had an inkling of what was about to happen.I looked around and heard her whimpering, she was passing through a lot of pains that she couldn't utter. It was heat, she was appealing to me. I didn't want a situation where I would do what I would regret. I heard her whimpers and decided to move toward her. "I don't feel like I could do woohoo talking to her and I almost wanted to kill myself about her. She was not going to be able to live with the heat except I helped her. It would be disastrous

Foreplay. Abigail's POVThe moment that his hand touched mine, I jumped at the intense sparks that ran through my body. His hands kneaded my shoulders and I sighed in deep pleasure. "I want you." A small sigh escaped my lips and I looked away in embarrassment. His eyes had turned deep chocolate and I was lost in them. He lifted me into a sitting position but that only managed to complicate things. He stared at me with such an intense emotion in his eyes. "You're making me go crazy, Abigail." He whispered."Why don't you want me?""I want you, so bad. I want you so much that it hurts." He replied and I smiled at him."Then what are you waiting for?" I urged him. "I would devour you. I won't be able to let you go after this." He muttered and I saw him. Truly saw him struggling to maintain his composure. "I can't for the life of me believe that I would be trapped in here with you. I calculated it." He replied and I also took it casually. "Fuck it." He muttered and leaned over me, le

Abigail's POV. "Look how far we've come, from beginning a family to planning everything as they are. It's been wonderful," Daniel spoke as he walked through the porch. "Is this what I think it is?" I inquired. He hugged me from behind and planted a kiss on my neck. "We've been able to conquer every opposition on our way, and that makes it very worthwhile. When last did you speak to your pack?" He asked."I don't know, they should be fine." I spoke while rubbing my belly softly. "Do you want me to get close to the pack?" He looked at me slowly and shook his head, "I want you to be done with all of them." I smiled at him. "I was thinking about merging the packs together." I told him. "We can do that." She replied, and I looked at him.We walked towards the balcony and overlooked the Pack. Things were really picking up. "Mom!" Raine called and we turned. "Rachel is troubling me!" He ran towards us and I rolled my eyes at him. I didn't think this was possible anyway. "Oh really?"

Daniel's POV. "I can't find Raine!" Abigail's voice sounded with urgency that had me jumping up from bed and dashing towards the door before remembering that I had no clothes on. "He was here with Mace a few minutes ago but now she's telling me that he is nowhere to be found. I have searched everywhere but now my mind is going haywire. I don't know where he is." This was a mess. My eyes roamed across the room seeking an answer to my questions. "Call Macy, I need to speak with her." I replied and immediately switched to my mind link. This had to be done almost immediately. "Jake, tell me what I hear is not true. How the hell would my son disappear from the public eye when you were supposed to keep him safe?" I inquired angrily. "How far I am completely perplexed about the situation. Although I am already returning, I will send out some scouts so that we can get to the bottom of this issue right now." He reassured me. Something wasn't right, yet I couldn't place my finger on it. If

Collaboration. "Are you the person I was supposed to meet?" Laurie inquired from a dark figure that shoved his hands into his pockets with his head bowed so that no one could figure out who he was. "This is not a perfect place to meet. You are only going to land me in more trouble. One of the basic reasons I have been wasting my time so far with you is because I believe you have something good for me. If you know that this request to see me will not yield anything fruitful, then we should both part ways and act as though we have never met." He had a plan that would be brought to fulfillments if she was sensible enough not to disturb him one bit. "You should be very careful with words as they could break or make you. The Return. "Alpha, the pack is under fire." Jake told me and I turned towards him. "What do you mean by the pack being under fire?" I inquired from Jake who was staring at me like I had grown three heads.Jake probably thought that I was losing my mind with how calm I was instead of fidgeting at the way he was acting. "Abigail has arrived." He announced and looked at me warily as if expecting me to say something that he'd not like. This wasn't going to make any atom of sense to him whatsoever."Tell her to come in then, instead of just standing over there. I want to see my kid. Call Mace so that she doesn't miss this lovely opportunity." I instructed him. After discussing with him, he was still looking at me warily but I was less concerned about his stare. He was afraid of Laurie finding out that I had a kid but at this point too, I was also going to introduce her to the pack. My son wouldn't live as a fugitive and all that I want to discuss is finding a better way of dealing wit

Back-and-forth.Abigail's POV."Raine... stop that." I called my toddler who was staring at me with a small smile on his face as though he knew what I was talking about. He was so intuitive and smart for his age that a lot of people were envious of him. "Are you sure this kid is almost a year old?" Daniel spoke over the phone when he had me calling him to stop moving his toys around. I nodded then realized that he couldn't see me. "Can't you switch to video calls so that you can see the extent of the mess he made and don't think that I am just making it up?" I inquired. A few seconds later I saw Daniel smiling at me. As though Raine knew that I wanted to video him, he stopped moving around and started smiling at me with a toothless grin."I think this boy is too smart. He knows that I wanted to show you what he was up to." Daniel's chuckle tickled my skin as I listened to his voice. "Are you serious? I was very mischievous when I was also little so I believe it is inherited. My mo

BetrayedAuthor's POV. "Where are you coming from?" Laurie demanded from Daniel as soon as he returned home afterward. "You know better than to leave me here for a while yet return like I'm a piece of furniture." She demanded from him. Daniel paused as soon as he pulled the door open. "Good evening to you too, Laurie." He replied.Laurie refused to take his mode of speech seriously. He was only trying to gaslight her. "Do you realize that there is something wrong with us, Daniel? You don't care,do you?" She accused him but he didn't speak to her. "I am talking to you, Daniel. You won't turn me into a mad fellow! I'm trying to ensure that there is a semblance of order in the Pack but you're going ahead to do whatever you like. How does that even make any sense?" She accused him. Daniel was wroth yet considered their closeness. It was stupid for him to act all angry when it was something that they could just resolve slowly. "You are angry that I neglected you, which I apologize for,

Heartfelt Apologies. Abigail's POV. Meanwhile on the other hand, I watched Daniel stroke Raine's head softly as he looked ahead to see what was happening. "Is something wrong with him? He's been sleeping too much." Daniel blurted in fear. "He's sleeping from the aftereffect of the medications." I answered him, chuckling softly as he was acting as though there was a problem with my son. "Are you scared?" He nodded, "Very. I can't allow any harm to come to him. This is very basic but I believe that we can still do something about it, you know?" "About what?" "Our situation. You can return home with me." He suggested. "Since when did your pack become my home? After I gave birth huh? You've not even ascertained if this kid is yours, assumptions kill you know?" I retorted. He had been acting all cool and kind to me since we met again but I knew how harsh this man could be so I wasn't buying it. Daniel ran a palm across his face tiredly. "Do you realize that I wouldn't be here if I

Lonely Home. Meanwhile Jedidiah had managed to return home but was panting mercilessly as she went ahead to have a discussion. It was crazy that someone would be so interested in rubbishing her when she wasn't one of those girls. It was crazy but she would not take this one bit. Thankfully, Daniel was not at home and he didn't make it mandatory for her to remain in the Pack. It sent the wrong signal to her anyway. What the hell was she thinking about? Didn't she know that he was cruel in the first place? She thought and shook her head.As soon as she crossed the threshold she felt that something was different yet refused to stall further, she headed into the house and was shocked to meet the love of her life smoking."James, what the hell are you doing?!" She fired at him but was greeted with a grin on his face. He had no single remorse whatsoever concerning what he was doing. For all he cared, she was only just acting out of point instead of doing what he should."Do you realize ho
