“What's going on?” I approached them. I could feel goosebumps riding across my arm as I did. Something was not right, but I couldn't place my finger exactly where it didn't.
My father had a deep rooted blank stare in his eyes as he silently pushed a scroll towards me without a word. I reluctantly took it and after a few seconds of reading the contents, I heard my own heart plumet down; completely down my chest.
I felt all the blood in my face drain as I read the contract papers over and over again in my head until I grew sick with fear and disgust. The words seemed to blur before my eyes as my mind struggled to process the magnitude of what I had just read, my thoughts racing.
"No." Mustering all the willpower in me, I faced the Alpha, his Luna and the elder council as I said, not even flinching under their hard, cold glares. "I'm not doing It.”
“Father you can't do this to me!”
“It's already been signed. This was agreed upon by I and the council of elders long ago, even before today. You cannot refuse now. You don't have a choice in this. You've been chosen to bear the Lycan's heir. It's a grand opportunity to be able to rule by the Lycan's side. A chance many other she wolves would have.”
“No It's not. The Lycan is said to be a blood thirsty man who drives joy in only Killing and pleasure. There is no way he sought after an heir bearer and saw me of all people. He will kill me father.” I tried hard to hold the tears but they kept flowing down. I could feel my heart pounding hard against my chest, my vision glazed over and the papers dropped from my hands.
I had been sold to the Lycan King as his breeder. Not even a wife or a concubine, a breeder. I couldn't imagine what would become of me If he got his hand on me.
I glanced around, the elders had grave expressions on their faces, but no one offered to say anything. My step mother was anything but against the idea. Infact, she looked pleased at the thought of the Lycan using only his bare hands to crush my head the moment he had the chance.
“His men are already on their way to take you. You cannot object the Lycan's decision or you know the consequences of what will happen.” My father's voice was cold as he growled threateningly at me, already up on his feet and staring dead into my eyes.
I had hated my father. More or less, I usually felt disappointed or just sad that he didn't love me as much as he loved my step sister. He always blamed my birth for the death of my mother, his first love, but I wondered how long he was willing to hate his own flesh and blood. Turns out, 20 years later, even after everything I've done just to make him proud, he still held that hate for me.
So many thoughts filled my head, so many pieces started coming together. They had all planned this even before today. While I worked my butt off training and studying hard to impress my father and earn my well deserved spot as the first Female Alpha of Lion heart's pack, they had gone ahead to sell me to the Lycan as his breeder.
Lycan Daniel was anything but a good person. No, he wasn't bad, he was evil, and he was strong. Infact too strong that the only reasonable thing to do was to run away, because I could not face that monster that treated women like objects.
Without a word to my father, I turned, intending to run for my life without looking back, but upon meeting with two pack guards, large and burly frames standing before me, it was then I realized they meant business.
“Move.” I growl at them, but they barely bugded.
“Be patient, Abigail. The men would be arriving in a few minutes. “ Jessica snarled smilingly.
“What If I don't want to go. I'm a living being as well, not some object to be traded for money.” I faced my father and the elders. I could take down the men Infront of me, and they knew, but could I really be able to fight against the whole pack?
Because I knew they would do everything within their power to ensure I stayed. It was going to be me against the whole pack. A loosing game.
“The Lycan would not hurt his breeder. You're safe, child. You only need to do what's required of you.” An elder answered and I felt my heart grow heavy in anger.
The crushing news rippled through her body like a wave of cold fear. The words seemed to echo in her mind, each one a dagger in her heart. "Sold? To the Lycan King? By my own father?" I gasped, my voice shaking with disbelief. I still couldn't believe it
The floor beneath my feet seemed to crumble as the realization of my fate sank in. Desperation washed over me, and I fell to my knees, crawling to my father with tears streaming down my cheeks. "Please, I beg of you, don't do this! Not to me, not to your own daughter!”
I choked back a sob, my heart plummeting in my chest. "I'll do anything, just please, reconsider! You can't just hand me over to him like I'm some sort of object. I have rights to deny this! Please! He will kill me!”
I reached out a trembling hand, desperate for some sign of mercy. "I'm your daughter, your flesh and blood. Don't you love me? Don't you care what happens to me?”
However, to my soul crushing dismay, he barely paid me heed as the pack guards forcefully picked me up from the floor and dragged me away from the room.
With tears streaked face, I stared at my father in disbelief and a broken heart.
They would regret this. I'm the future, I'll make their life so miserable, they would look back to this day and wish they had not done this.
With my teeth grinding down in anger, I waited till the men arrived and just like that, I was whisked away into their car and before their very eyes, I watched a large vehicle tow into the compound with several bags of money stacked inside.
My parents- no one paid heed to the car taking me away as their eyes all fixed towards the vehicle filled with money.
To think my father had never regarded me as a daughter of his and the moment he got the chance to sell me off for money, he suddenly remembered I was his daughter and he could trade me off.
Whereas Jedidiah was made Alpha. Not only did she steal my position, but she also stole my mate. I had nothing but death awaiting me.
Several hours later, we arrived at the Lycan's kingdom. He owned the largest territory in the whole world and with impeccable strength, he ruled his world with an iron fist. The being was unstoppable and he knew it.
No one barely spoke a word to be, I was just taken to a room where two Omega's in uniform were. It looked like they had been waiting for me. Under the orders of the man who had driven me here, they quickly changed me out of my outfit, washed me up, put me in a skimpy night gown, fixed my hair and makeup and ardoned me with nice scenting perfumes.
The entire time, I felt my throat clogged. I couldn't speak, yet there was so much I wanted to say.
“The Lycan will see you now.”
The moment I stepped into the room, shutting the door behind me, my eyes landed on the tall burly man standing in the room, just beside the bed.
Only from the door, I could feel his protruding spine chilling aura where he stood. He was shirtless with only a towel wrapped around his narrow waist.
The moment he turned and met my eyes, I froze, seeing him, his dark blue eyes piercing right into mine.
“Strip. Now.” His voice was cold and spine chilling.
Daniel's pov She looked scared. I wasn't surprised. I basked off the fear of people around me. I had seen women more beautiful than her, but there was something about her eyes. She looked scared certainly, but there was this resilience in them that matched mine when we locked eyes. As she slowly stripped, hands shaky, a slight blush to her cheeks, I checked out the woman Infront of me. She had full blossoms with peach nipples poking out subtly. Her hips were broad, emerging from a narrowed sensual waist leading down to two strong, straight legs. The moment she was done and her eyes met mine again, I calmly approached her. Not once did she back away from me. Instead she stood her ground, awaiting me. The fear was inevitable but she was trying her best not to let me smell it over her. My wolf growled In approval the moment I touched her, my hand sliding to cup her face just before my eyes met mine, like I was searching.. She's the one. My wolf growled.I could see the confusion in
Abigail's pov Racing into the nearest room I could find, I fell into a sitting position against the corner of the wall with tears in my eyes. With a heavy heart laden with pain and shame, I buried my face in my hands as I let out the tears which flowed down my cheeks. I was still shaking from the aftermath of his touch, his hands touching in places I haven't been touched before, his lips on my naked skin, his cock brushing against my forbidden area. James and I have been mates for three years but we have only gone as far as kissing. I had been stern about wanting to keep myself till after we officially became mates. Even though he had betrayed me, I still felt so guilty at how I was able to easily respond to the touch of another man. And that man had to be the Lycan himself. His voice, when he mentioned my name sent reverberated chills up my spine. My pussy still ached for his touch, still dripping from the lust. I yearned for him. I couldn't explain why I wanted that beast. But
Abigail's POVIt was at that point that I knew that there was a problem somewhere and all I needed to do was to find a way to abscond. I knew that everyone was going to reject me but this lycan's touched me to the core. A few people might ask what was special about him but I didn't even know. It was almost as though something left my body at his words. He knew better than to insult who was going to be his breeder.I sniffled into my dress and sat on the floor. I was coming from one betrayal to another and all I felt was just luck, I needed to get out of this place as soon as possible. The question was how. If there was one thing that was certain, it was the fact that he would obviously have double security so that I didn't escape. The scent of someone approaching hot me before the footsteps resounded. I had learnt to be observant to make up for the lack of my wolf. I could spot someone who was coming from afar off, so I straightened. My eyes were on the door waiting for the intruder
Daniel's POVI watched them stare at me with fear raging in their eyes and I was happy with that. "What were you discussing about!" I asked them and they moved away from each other.Abigail was visibly shaking while my Beta was staring at me with fear. I didn't need him to do my bidding. Funnily enough, it wasn't as if I was thinking about her or had any good plans for her.Her lips quivered while my Beta coughed softly. "I was just telling her her role, sir." He replies fearfully. I didn't wait till he completed his words before growling. They didn't have the right to discuss about me behind my back, if they did, it was certainly because they were trying to stir up strife that would surely backfire on them."Alpha, why don't I go check out the workers at the mine?" Jakes replied. I gave him a curt nod which he responded sharply to. I was sure that he was probably thanking his stars that he was finally free from my clutches. I would make sure that he regretted butting into my issues
Daniel's POVWe arrived at the mine and saw that a few people were trying to pour water to douse the fire and I almost tore out my hair in anger. Were they blind not to see where the fire was coming from? I would have expected more from them."Someone should get to the switch and turn it off. move away from the burner!" I yelled and thankfully, the person moved. I was almost screaming that certain people didn't have the kind of sense that I needed from them.It was almost as if they were not thinking straight. After they did as I was instructed, the fire was put out and I shook my head in distaste. After making me run all the way to the end of the mine only to see that it was something that could have been prevented?Jake was breathing laboriously from running for just a short distance and I was a bit pissed if not entirely pissed even. "I'm sorry, Alpha. We would try to salvage the ruins." He replied."Everyone, go home while the top dogs, you know yourself already, don't go anywhere
Abigail's POVThere was nothing that prepared me for the way the women were shouting when Daniel returned into the pack. I knew because I peeped from the window and saw most of them even going as far as dancing, making me irritated by their display. Why were they so happy that this tyrant was dragging a man into the pack like a bag of potatoes? This wasn't what was supposed to happen, yet they were this happy? This was very strange and I wasn't even jealous of them one bit. It was mostly irritating to me. I would have preferred if there was something else that they celebrated. It seemed the people were also as ruthless as their Alpha because the joy was second to none. Now I saw the reason people told their kids horrific stories so that they didn't stumble on this place. There was a rap at the door and I moved back to my former position. If I was planning so hard to escape this hellhole, then I had to also be ready to make the sacrifices that it required, which was acting like a fool
Abigail's POVIf there was anything that terrified me after Daniel, was that lady. I didn't even know her name but from my first encounter, I knew that she had sinister plans that if I wasn't careful enough, she'd tear my heart out and I would be left with nothing."Mind you, although you've already met her before, it doesn't take away the novelty of the fact that you should be on your very best when you see her. It would be for your good more than it would be for mine." The Beta reminded me. I stomached my preference because I would have preferred if someone else came in here to have that conversation with me. She didn't need to see me the same way, I didn't need to also meet her. It was just mutual stuff, we didn't need to see each other. At this point, I was already suffering but I hadn't come into it fully. "Are you dragging your feet? Go change into that attire." He ordered and I hastily went to change into the ugliest dress that I had seen. Was this what they meant by meeting
Author's POVThe culprit snuck out of the house that he was hiding behind, there was no proof that he had been present. The Alpha was the only one who was about to catch him but was distracted by his man at the end of the day. He was happy with his goal. They didn't know that they were under attack but it wasn't his just his turn to strike yet. Pulling out his phone from his pocket, he dialed his boss' number."I am already on my way to getting the box, sir." "Are you sure that you would be able to accomplish it?" His boss inquired and he nodded. There was no need for his boss to worry because he needed the money more than anyone in the world. He also had ulterior motives. He didn't come all the way here just to fail at the peak. There was no need for him to get help when no one was willing to bear the consequences if they got hurt.Alpha Daniel was no small warrior. He alone could beat ten strongest warriors combined. So, getting past him wasn't an easy feat and if he wanted to be
Abigail's POV. "Look how far we've come, from beginning a family to planning everything as they are. It's been wonderful," Daniel spoke as he walked through the porch. "Is this what I think it is?" I inquired. He hugged me from behind and planted a kiss on my neck. "We've been able to conquer every opposition on our way, and that makes it very worthwhile. When last did you speak to your pack?" He asked."I don't know, they should be fine." I spoke while rubbing my belly softly. "Do you want me to get close to the pack?" He looked at me slowly and shook his head, "I want you to be done with all of them." I smiled at him. "I was thinking about merging the packs together." I told him. "We can do that." She replied, and I looked at him.We walked towards the balcony and overlooked the Pack. Things were really picking up. "Mom!" Raine called and we turned. "Rachel is troubling me!" He ran towards us and I rolled my eyes at him. I didn't think this was possible anyway. "Oh really?"
Daniel's POV. "I can't find Raine!" Abigail's voice sounded with urgency that had me jumping up from bed and dashing towards the door before remembering that I had no clothes on. "He was here with Mace a few minutes ago but now she's telling me that he is nowhere to be found. I have searched everywhere but now my mind is going haywire. I don't know where he is." This was a mess. My eyes roamed across the room seeking an answer to my questions. "Call Macy, I need to speak with her." I replied and immediately switched to my mind link. This had to be done almost immediately. "Jake, tell me what I hear is not true. How the hell would my son disappear from the public eye when you were supposed to keep him safe?" I inquired angrily. "How far I am completely perplexed about the situation. Although I am already returning, I will send out some scouts so that we can get to the bottom of this issue right now." He reassured me. Something wasn't right, yet I couldn't place my finger on it. If
Collaboration. "Are you the person I was supposed to meet?" Laurie inquired from a dark figure that shoved his hands into his pockets with his head bowed so that no one could figure out who he was. "This is not a perfect place to meet. You are only going to land me in more trouble. One of the basic reasons I have been wasting my time so far with you is because I believe you have something good for me. If you know that this request to see me will not yield anything fruitful, then we should both part ways and act as though we have never met." Laurie spoke.Alpha Liam gazed right and left looking for the perfect way to broach his subject without her disturbing him. He had a plan that would be brought to fulfillments if she was sensible enough not to disturb him one bit. "You should be very careful with words as they could break or make you. We are here for a common purpose, the best thing you can do is to be calm about it. I've heard how frustrated you are that your husband or boyfrien
The Return. "Alpha, the pack is under fire." Jake told me and I turned towards him. "What do you mean by the pack being under fire?" I inquired from Jake who was staring at me like I had grown three heads.Jake probably thought that I was losing my mind with how calm I was instead of fidgeting at the way he was acting. "Abigail has arrived." He announced and looked at me warily as if expecting me to say something that he'd not like. This wasn't going to make any atom of sense to him whatsoever."Tell her to come in then, instead of just standing over there. I want to see my kid. Call Mace so that she doesn't miss this lovely opportunity." I instructed him. After discussing with him, he was still looking at me warily but I was less concerned about his stare. He was afraid of Laurie finding out that I had a kid but at this point too, I was also going to introduce her to the pack. My son wouldn't live as a fugitive and all that I want to discuss is finding a better way of dealing wit
Sore Loser.Alpha's Liam strode out of Abigail's apartment with a glare on his face. Who would have imagined that she would turn down his offer after everything that he has done for her? Providing shelter, food and even a job when she was nothing but a rogue, and now she had the audacity to say that she wasn't in the mood for any relationship. Abigail on the other hand tried to stop him but he wasn't having it. This was one of the issues she had with a lot of men who felt like being helped had to resort into exchanging sexual favors. Alpha Liam threw a bottle of Chamdor on the floor causing it to shatter into pieces. She was an ungrateful b**** that needed to be repaid in her coin. How the hell did she suddenly define her taste after getting everything she wanted from him. Now he was a fool and that caused him more pain than he had ever felt in his life. He would never have expected that he would fall victim to such a thing. 'You have been fooled, Liam. This is the height of your f
Back-and-forth.Abigail's POV."Raine... stop that." I called my toddler who was staring at me with a small smile on his face as though he knew what I was talking about. He was so intuitive and smart for his age that a lot of people were envious of him. "Are you sure this kid is almost a year old?" Daniel spoke over the phone when he had me calling him to stop moving his toys around. I nodded then realized that he couldn't see me. "Can't you switch to video calls so that you can see the extent of the mess he made and don't think that I am just making it up?" I inquired. A few seconds later I saw Daniel smiling at me. As though Raine knew that I wanted to video him, he stopped moving around and started smiling at me with a toothless grin."I think this boy is too smart. He knows that I wanted to show you what he was up to." Daniel's chuckle tickled my skin as I listened to his voice. "Are you serious? I was very mischievous when I was also little so I believe it is inherited. My mo
BetrayedAuthor's POV. "Where are you coming from?" Laurie demanded from Daniel as soon as he returned home afterward. "You know better than to leave me here for a while yet return like I'm a piece of furniture." She demanded from him. Daniel paused as soon as he pulled the door open. "Good evening to you too, Laurie." He replied.Laurie refused to take his mode of speech seriously. He was only trying to gaslight her. "Do you realize that there is something wrong with us, Daniel? You don't care,do you?" She accused him but he didn't speak to her. "I am talking to you, Daniel. You won't turn me into a mad fellow! I'm trying to ensure that there is a semblance of order in the Pack but you're going ahead to do whatever you like. How does that even make any sense?" She accused him. Daniel was wroth yet considered their closeness. It was stupid for him to act all angry when it was something that they could just resolve slowly. "You are angry that I neglected you, which I apologize for,
Heartfelt Apologies. Abigail's POV. Meanwhile on the other hand, I watched Daniel stroke Raine's head softly as he looked ahead to see what was happening. "Is something wrong with him? He's been sleeping too much." Daniel blurted in fear. "He's sleeping from the aftereffect of the medications." I answered him, chuckling softly as he was acting as though there was a problem with my son. "Are you scared?" He nodded, "Very. I can't allow any harm to come to him. This is very basic but I believe that we can still do something about it, you know?" "About what?" "Our situation. You can return home with me." He suggested. "Since when did your pack become my home? After I gave birth huh? You've not even ascertained if this kid is yours, assumptions kill you know?" I retorted. He had been acting all cool and kind to me since we met again but I knew how harsh this man could be so I wasn't buying it. Daniel ran a palm across his face tiredly. "Do you realize that I wouldn't be here if I
Lonely Home. Meanwhile Jedidiah had managed to return home but was panting mercilessly as she went ahead to have a discussion. It was crazy that someone would be so interested in rubbishing her when she wasn't one of those girls. It was crazy but she would not take this one bit. Thankfully, Daniel was not at home and he didn't make it mandatory for her to remain in the Pack. It sent the wrong signal to her anyway. What the hell was she thinking about? Didn't she know that he was cruel in the first place? She thought and shook her head.As soon as she crossed the threshold she felt that something was different yet refused to stall further, she headed into the house and was shocked to meet the love of her life smoking."James, what the hell are you doing?!" She fired at him but was greeted with a grin on his face. He had no single remorse whatsoever concerning what he was doing. For all he cared, she was only just acting out of point instead of doing what he should."Do you realize ho
