Chapter 4

Celia POV

I frowned.

"Alpha Leon, are you trying to back out? We agreed that this would end in three months!"

Leon smiled, his lips curving into a sly smile, "I promised to end it in three months, but I never guaranteed that nothing would happen within those three months."

His long fingers tightened around my chin.

His rough fingertips bore calluses, exuding a dangerous vibe, overpowering me.

"Alpha Leon, I didn't think you'd be the man to pull these dirty tricks."

I stared at him defiantly. His grip remained firm.

He leaned closer, his gaze intense. Seeing my face, he chuckled lightly and released his hold on me.

Then, he said with a disdainful tone, "Don't flatter yourself. I have no interest in a little girl like you."

Although I felt relieved, his comment still irked me. "Good! I also have no interest in an aging Alpha like you!"

I raised my hand and poked Leon's chest. "Alpha Leon, please step aside. I'm tired and I want to go wash up and sleep."

Instead of confronting him head on, I stepped around him and headed for the bathroom.

After my shower, I stepped out of the bathtub only to realize I hadn't brought clean clothes with me.

That was embarrassing.

I pondered for a moment and then peeked my head out of the bathroom, spotting Leon sitting on the couch, focusing on his phone.

I sighed, feeling a mixture of annoyance and helplessness.

"Alpha Leon, could you please give me back the clothes I wore today?"

Leon lifted his gaze slightly, giving my head a casual glance.

"I threw them away."

What?

I felt angry but gritted my teeth.

"Can you lend me a clean T-shirt for tonight?"

Leon raised an eyebrow, squinting at me.

"Is this the attitude you have when asking for a favor?"

"What attitude should I have then?"

"Beg me."

With that, I slammed the bathroom door shut.

Just as I was trying to figure out what to do, there was a knock on the door.

I opened it slightly and saw Leon's cold and handsome face.

Irritated, I asked, "What do you want?"

Through the crack, the scent of shower gel wafted out into the hallway.

Leon's eyes flickered, his Adam's apple bobbing.

He raised his hand, offering a set of men's pajamas to me.

I hesitated for a moment, ready to take the clothes, but he teased, lifting the clothes just out of my reach.

"Say 'thank you'."

"Thank you... Idiot!"

I jumped up, grabbed the clothes, and immediately made a face. Next second, I closed the door, not caring about Leon's shocked look.

The next morning, I was awakened by the incessant knocking of a maid.

"My Luna, Alpha Leon asked me to bring clothes for you!"

It was so annoying.

I got up, opened the door, and accepted the dress the maid handed me. After freshening up and changing, I stepped out of the room, intending to find something to eat.

The moment I opened the door, a basin of foul-smelling cold water splashed in my face!

Simultaneously, laughter filled the air around me.

My vision blurred by the dirty water, I could only see clearly when the filthy water dried up.

Before me stood a girl about my age, her makeup flawless, looking down at me with a haughty smirk.

Several maids surrounded her. One of them held an empty basin.

I furrowed my brow and calmly looked at the unfamiliar girl.

"Who are you, and why did you do this?"

The girl tilted her head arrogantly.

"I'm Tamia, the Old Alpha's daughter of Black Mist Pack! Leon is my brother!"

I raised an eyebrow.

"So? Why did you pour dirty water on me?"

Tamia sneered, looking me up and down with disdain.

"It was a warning! You need to know your place in our pack! I don't recognize you as our Luna! You're not worthy!"

I frowned.

"So you can throw dirty water on me? I'm the Luna your brother chose. You think you can change anything?"

She chuckled, "Hah! Stop flattering yourself. My brother didn't spend the night in your room last night. Let me make it clear. He accepted you as his Luna to appease my grandfather's illness. Once my grandfather gets better, you'll be kicked out!"

I frowned.

So that was the reason Leon hurriedly chose his Luna.

Tamia warned, "My brother will never like a woman like you! When he's not around, I'm in charge here. You must obey my rules. Understand?"

I smiled and had a plan. Then, I nodded obediently.

"Yes, I understand, Ms. Tamia."

"Good. Remember, from now on, you must..."

I interrupted her with a humble tone.

"Ms. Tamia, could you please go to my room and explain your rules to me in detail? I want to write them down precisely."

She hesitated for a moment before mocking me with a smile, "What a dumbass! Fine, I'll explain my rules to you. Listen carefully, in this house, you must..."

Reluctantly, Tamia followed me into the room.

Once inside, I swiftly locked the door. The maids who tried to follow were left outside.

After entering the room, I grabbed Tamia's hair and dragged her into the bathroom.

She screamed in terror, "Ah!!! What are you doing? Let go of me!"

I held Tamia's hair with one hand and restrained her wrists with the other, pressing down her struggling hands. "What did you just pour on me?"

Trembling, Tamia said, "It was dirty water from washing my feet..."

I smirked and, in the next moment, pushed Tamia's head into the toilet.

"Ahhh!!!"

She screamed.

After 30 seconds, I pulled her head out of the water.

"How do you feel, huh?"

I looked at her calmly. "You poured dirty water on me first, so I'm just defending myself. Seems fair, doesn't it?"

Tamia was on the verge of hysteria.

"I'm Alpha's sister! How dare you do this to me? I can kill you!"

I remained unimpressed.

"I don't care who you are. I'm here to be your brother's Luna, not your punching bag. Remember this lesson, and don't provoke me again."

With that, I pushed Tamia out of the room.

I quickly removed my damp and dirty clothes and took a shower.

Without clean clothes, I wrapped myself in a towel and walked out.

My phone vibrated on the bedside table.

I approached, picked up the phone, and answered the call.

It was my friend, Karlee. She worked at the same clinic in the community as I did.

She sounded frantic.

"Celia, something terrible has happened! Come to the clinic right away!"
