{Isla’s POV}

I walked hastily through the Village like someone was chasing me. I took the path that led to the Lake.

But then no one was chasing me.

I was uneasy and it was because Cayden’s words had made me feel that way.

But then I was acting stupid. I realized this and stopped my rush and began to walk normally.

Cayden shouldn’t have this effect on me. I’ll be giving him too much power if he does.

“Good day, Your Highness.” A high-pitched voice said and called me out of my thoughts. I turned to see that it was a villager, a very young boy.

“Hey.” I said back as he bowed to greet me.
