Chapter:6

Aiden's POV

"That was uncalled for, Dad! She is my mate and you can't speak to her like that. You can't speak to anybody like that." I yell as he sits in his chair with his head in his hands.

"I have told her countless times to not go out by herself at night. To not go around school vandalizing the building, not to be a bad example but she doesn't listen." He says and this only makes me madder.

"What it sounds like to me is that you want her to roll over every time you say something. News flash, Dad. She is a teenagers. She's going to break rules. She's not always going to listen. For goddess sake, she lost her whole family. Did you not think that she was going to rebel at some point?" I ask and he sighs.

"I know I was hard on her but I just want her to be safe. I don't want her to get hurt or worse." He say and mom sighs pushing his hair back.

"And you just couldn't have done that without embarrassing her in front of everybody or making her cry?" I ask and mom steps up.

"Both of you stop. You can't fight like this. What's done is done. I will go to Kenzie's room and see if she's alright. You two better fix this shit before I get back." Mom says and walks out not giving either of us a chance to talk.

I sit down on one of the chairs in front of his desk. "I'm sorry." I say and he says. "I'm sorry."

"I'll apologize to Kenzie. I know I was hard on her." He says and I nod before getting up and walking out of his office.

Kenzie's POV

"Kenzie, honey. Please open the door." I hear Luna Alex say through the door. I get up, afraid that Alpha will get mad at me for ignoring her.

I wipe my face and unlock the door. I slowly pull it open, not looking at her. "Can I come in?" She asks softly.

I nod and she comes in, closing the door behind her. "Are you okay?" She asks and I nod quickly.

"Come here." She says and I walk to her and hug her. I cry and she lets me until I'm done.

I haven't cried like this since my parents, brother and dog died. Now that I think about it, I haven't actually cried besides a tear or two slipping.

"You good now?" She asks and I nod. We sit down on my bed and she rubs my back. I wipe my face with my sleeve.

"I'm sorry about what happened." She says and I shake my head. "Don't be. I should have listen when he told me before." I tell her and she shakes her head.

"He could have done it better. He didn't have to shout." She says and I just stay quiet. She grabs the bag of chips and starts eating.

I giggle and we eat together. There is a knock on the door. "Come in." I say and I see Aiden walk in. I sit up straight and his face falls when he looks at me.

I must look a mess with my puffy eyes, lips and my pink nose.

"Hey." He says and I smile at him.

"I'll go check on Mason. Night honey." Alex says and walks out of my room, closing the door.

"You okay? I'm sorry about my father." He says sitting down next to me. I just nod not knowing how to act around him.

For Goddess sake, this sexy man is my mate. My heart is pounding abnormally fast at our close proximity.

"So." I say awkwardly.

"Do you and Derek have something going on?" He asks and I furrow my brows. "No. He's my bestfriend." I tell him and he nods.

"Good. That's good." He says more to himself. "Why do you ask?" I ask playing with a loose thread on my sweater.

"You're my mate, Mackenzie. I wouldn't want to hurt somebody for touching you." He says and I nod.

"Okay." I say and look at him.

His eyes find mine and I get lost in them again. I didn't realize that we we're moving closer until I could feel his warm breath on my cheek.

"Can I kiss you?" He whispers and I look from his eyes to his lips. "No." I say moving in closer.

"Okay." He says closing the distance between us.

Dear Goddess, when I tell you the kangaroos went nuts, fucking believe that the kangaroos went fucking crazy.

I move closer to him and he holds my face with his hand.

This feels amazing. The sparks that flow between every part of skin contact made by us. The feeling of his soft lips on mine.

The hairs on the back of my neck stand up as he traces my lips with his tongue.

A moan escapes my mouth and I give him access. His tongue slips in and I move mine against his. He pulls me ontop of him and I grip onto his neck.

His hands slide under my sweater and rest on my bare waist. He squeezes and I moan pulling away slowly.

"We should stop." I breath, leaning my head against his. He nods, breathing heavily and hugs me tightly.

"That was amazing." He says and I nod. "I've never..." I say blushing and he smiles brightly.

"I haven't either." He says and I smile at him.

The door busts open and I jump on Aiden's lap. He groans and I look toward the door.

"What the fuck, Derek." I say holding my hand to my heart. "I found my mate." He says and I get off of Aiden I hug him.

"Oh my goodness. I'm so happy for you. Who is it?" I ask and he smiles wider.

"Eva. She just shifted and jumped me." He says and I laugh.

"I just came to get my stuff so I can go to her room. So peace out sucker." He says grabbing his bag and walking out.

"Really, asshole." I joke and he jogs down the hall flipping me the bird.

"Well that just happened." I say, closing the door and turning around to find Aiden standing behind me.

"This means I can stay with you tonight." He says and I blush.

"I don't think that's a good idea." I tell him and his face falls. "Why?" He asks and I sigh.

"It's too soon." I say walking around him and sitting in the desk chair. "Beside, Alpha said that I'll be moving to your house. No excuses." I say looking down.

"Yeah. So." He says leaning against the wall. "I just want to be a messy sleeper tonight." I say and he nods looking annoyed.

"Cool." He says pulling the door open and leaving.

I go to call him but decide against it with a sigh.

This has been one long fucking day.
