It was early the next morning, I was in the kitchen chopping some fresh melon slices, while Anthony was fixing some furniture in the back. I was a little nervous about today, I mean I wanna help him after he told me how his mother used to treat him, but there's also a part of me that doesn't for obvious reasons. I finish chopping the melon as Anthony walks in taking a piece shoving it into his mouth, I shake my head picking the remaining slices up placing them in a lunchbox for the fridge.
"Thank you again for doing all this doll, I just hope she appreciates it" he sighs leaning against the counter still chewing his melon, while I put the rest of the fresh fruit in the fridge "I'm probably just overreacting it's gonna go fine, now I have you and Amelia, there is nothing she can say which will bring me down" he smiles, pulling me closer to him with his hands on my
"Mother it's nice to see you, come in" I hear him politely say, wow who knew this guy could be polite, I hear little child voice start talking walking into the house. "Little bro it's nice to see you again, especially like this all dressed up in a suit living in his amazing house" I hear a woman say, who's probably his older sister he was telling me about last night, his mother hasn't actually said anything yet. "Yes, you've finally learnt how to tie a tie, I definitely didn't see that one coming," another woman says in a posh voice, that has to be his delightful mother who, by the sounds of it, is everything he said she was. "Well it has been a lot of years mother, I have changed" Anthony replies kind of sticking up for himself, which I have to respect "but I know you'r
She walks us right over to a black car as Anthony comes bounding out the house, she begins to shout insults his way pointing acting like well a crazy lady. Neighbours start to leave their houses to watch all the commotion take place, I was in the middle, his mother's death grip on my hand still going strong. "Let go of her mother before I do something you're really gonna regret" Anthony chuckles quietly just before his sister with her sons walks out the house and over to us "Nicole you take the boys home and I'll ring you later when she's calmed down, we've been avoiding getting her help for too long" he boldly says turning to Nicole, his mother screams at him hitting his chest, okay what the actual heck is going on right now?! "Doll you go back in the house with Amelia, while I try to deal wi
It's been just about a month since Anthony attacked his mother, the days have flown by so fast, Amelia and I just being trapped is this house. Anthony hardly leaves it either, he tries to sneak out when he thinks I'm asleep, I haven't been able to sleep since his mother incident, I've been much too scared. He didn't give me an explanation on what happened with his mother and told me just to forget I ever saw her, I don't think the image of her laying on the floor will ever leave my head, it was horrifying. The only thing that's been keeping me together is Amelia, I know I can't just give up cause that would mean I give up on her and break the promise I made to her mother that night. Anthony's weird friends are always around the house, but spend most of their time in the basement, I've tried to see what was down there when the door was left open, but I heard Anthon
I slowly walk backwards down the aisle until I'm away enough, I turn walking down another aisle trying to find an exit or something. How much good is this helping if I'm just walking aimlessly around aisles? I stop and start to think about my next moves, Anthony isn't gonna be distracted forever and will soon realise we're not there. If he sees me just walking around he'll know I was tying to escape, and I might end up like his mother, I see a woman sat at a little desk with signup sheets smiling, an idea soon pops in my mind and I quickly walk over there. "Hi miss, are you interested in joining our weekly antiques club?" She asks politely with a smile, I quickly nod looking behind me to check Anthony wasn't about "that's great! I just need your full name" she smiles pulling a clipboard up with a pen, waiting for me to say something. "Yes my
It's been a few more weeks since Anthony took me to case the joint, as ink put it that day. I've been leaving the police so many notes but I don't know if they're actually seeing them, the last note I left brought us the closest we've been to escaping, but still not close enough. Anthony has been going out a lot leaving Amelia and me with ink, ink doesn't seem that bright so I've been trying to persuade him to take us out, but Anthony has his claws in that poor guy. Today had just been like any normal day for the life we're living now, as it was on the warmer side of days for it being nearly winter, I was in the garden with Amelia under the watchful eye of Anthony in the kitchen. Amelia can now sit up by herself so she was just playing with her toys on her blanket, while I lay down looking at the sky. The peaceful day was disr
I was nearly finished getting Amelia ready for bed, all I needed to do was make her a bottle and than she'd be down for the night. I carry her downstairs, passed ink who was halfway through his fizzy drinks, I walk into the kitchen going to the cupboard to find we had no more formula. Than it hit me, this could be our escape plan, if I send ink to the shop's we'll finally be alone in the house to escape. I walk into the living room, where he's throwing an empty can into his bag immediately opening a second one, that cannot be good for him. "We're out of formula" I say, while looking around the very messy living room, Anthony isn't gonna be too pleased. "Well you're gonna have to wait until Anthony gets back" he burps, once again turning his attention back to the tv, I do
I was sat in the garden with Amelia once again, but this time it was a little colder, my ankle felt better than last night but it still meant I couldn't walk around very fast. I take a look over to Tammy's fence to see one of those white police tent things over the shed, there's been police in and out of that place since they found her. I don't know why Anthony is so cool with us going in the back garden, I mean I could just pop my head over the fence and tell them who I was. I turn my attention to the kitchen window to see him sat with a cup staring at us, okay I now know why he's so cool with letting us in the back garden, he's watching us like a hawk from the window! I turn my attention back to Amelia as I hear a phone ring, not thinking much about it I let it go and continued to enjoy being with her. A few minutes pass, until out runs a worried looking Anthony slipping a phone into his pocket.
We walk around for a few hours taking in the amazing wildlife, Anthony was right, my foot was actually feeling a bit better after all the walking. We take a rest on one of the benches, so Amelia could have a bottle, I sat beside Anthony as he fed her. I did enjoy the walk but I don't know if that's a good thing, should I be enjoying myself? I mean I'm definitely not always, but it's moments like this when I see a different side to Anthony. Does that make me weird for feeling like this? I still wanna go home and if the chance came right now in this moment to go home, I'd take it without even a second thought. We've been here for almost five months and there's only been this time I'm enjoying myself, again does that make me weird? Anthony's phone ringing brings me out of my questioning thoughts, he pulls it out but frowns when he looks at the
Welcome to the final chapter of this crazy life I was living in, well I have a few things I'm gonna need to tell you and different times to take you to. Let's start with Anthony shall we? Well after he got arrested there was this huge investigation, I got questioned near fifty different times. They had to keep going over what happened and what I saw, I knew it was just because they wanted him to pay for everything he done, so they needed to know everything that happened. Court was the hardest thing for me though, it lasted for a few months where I'd have to sit and watch him try to defend his actions. This is the only place I won't be taking you to as it doesn't hold many happy memories, but I will tell you his sentence, he got three life sentences for the murders of Tammy, his mother and Nicole. He got a few more long sentences for the robb
"He's gonna make us go back with him" I say beginning to cry, but Blake holds me tightly. "He's never getting anywhere near you ever again" he whispers looking over at Anthony, I finally turn seeing a really injured Anthony stood there "you need to leave, you aren't getting anywhere near any of the girls again" Blake shouts, causing Anthony to look directly at us, I bury my face into Blake's arm as soon as he does. "And who the fuck are you?" Anthony asks, I could tell by his voice he was getting angry and that's where trouble starts. "Me? I'm Blake, Freya's real boyfriend" Blake says smiling, I turn to Anthony who looks beyond annoyed, he moves to his back pocket where I knew what he liked to keep there.
I couldn't believe my eyes, Adam was stood not even five foot away from me. I didn't know if I was hallucinating now, he takes steps towards me but like on instinct, I take steps away from him. "Freya it's okay, I'm gonna get you and Amelia out of this" he says, holding his hands out as he spoke, but I continue to walk backwards. "But Anthony killed you, I-I heard the gunshots" I mange to say, still walking backwards a little, it's either I'm going mad or seeing a ghost, because Anthony even acted as though he killed him after. "He took me out the back to kill me, I made it out like he did but he didn't" he starts to explain, I have to stop walking backwards as I'd walk into the road "I knew I needed to help you but I couldn't yet, so I would sit and wait until the time
Out wobbles a hurt looking Anthony, he had blood dripping down his face, what looks like a hurt arm and well like I said, looking wobbly. "Freya come here we need to leave" he says, gesturing for me to come over to him with his hand, the guy puts the phone to his ear. "Yes police please" he says turning away, Anthony looks up telling the guy to hang up the phone "it's alright mate, I'm gonna send someone to come help, yeah hello-" the guy turns but Anthony hits him around the side of the head, causing the guy to stop to the floor immediately. "Anthony!" I shout shocked, he takes my arm beginning to pull me away from the guy and into the maze of trees ahead "Anthony we need to get help you're hurt" I say, but he doesn't listen as we enter the maze of trees.
It's the next morning since I spoke with Blake on the phone, Anthony slept all night and woke up telling me it was the best sleep he's had in months. Which I think meant I was in the clear, it seemed like he hadn't spelt in days so he probably would have put it down to that. I was sat in the kitchen staring at the door to the mystery office, when I hear a phone ringing, Anthony walks down the stairs picking his mobile off the side sending me a smile walking out. I continue to stare off into space when I hear Anthony cursing, he runs back into the room messing with things around the kitchen. He goes to the cupboard pulling a bunch of gym bags our the cupboard, without even looking in my direction he leaves the kitchen once more. Whoever was on the phone to him and what we they said has really spooked him, in minutes he was back down the stairs this time holding a confused Amelia. "I need you to get her and you re
"I don't know okay, I have no clue why your husband was looking me up! Maybe because he's just met me and he was doing some back ground checks for some reason" I start, but she shakes her head moving backwards with Amelia in her arms "okay please just put her down" I say, having to hold back tears that wanted to escape my eyes, Anthony walks behind me with his hand on my back. "He came here a day after you came, he actually hasn't left, so if you wanna see him I'd put our daughter down" he says, as I look behind me I see one of his hands were hidden behind my back, I turn a little to see he was hiding the gun. "You'll take me to him right now?" She asks him, I wanted to tell her what was maybe gonna happen, but all I could actually think about was getting Amelia back in my arms out of harms way.
A few days have passed since Anthony took us to the graveyard, he's spent most of his time in his room when he does come out he doesn't speak. Amelia had just gone down for her nap when I see him sitting in the garden, he sat with his head in his hands looking like he was talking to himself. I debate whether to go out there or not to check, I was running different scenarios in my head of what not to do. I mean it might make him angry, but if I don't go he might get offended that I didn't, I feel like I've had this mental talk with myself before. I decide I probably want to know what's going around the mind of the person holding us, I slowly make my way towards the sliding door where he sat facing forward. Unfortunately, the glass was too thick for me to hear what he was saying to himself, I wait a second before slowly opening the door, which alerts him so he turns to look at me.
I hear the back door opening causes me to wipe my tears away and move so my back was against the door. I didn't want Anthony to come in and see me crying over Adam. Not long after the back door opened the playroom door behind me slowly opens, I continue to play with Amelia to try to make it seem like I didn't notice he had walked in. I hear him mumble "I need to make a call" to himself before he walks away leaving the playroom door open. I put all of Amelia's toys out for her to play with, I quietly get up and walk out the playroom walking down the hall. I walk up the end of the hall, where I don't see Anthony but I hear him shouting, probably down a phone, I wanted to stay to listen but Amelia crying prevents me from doing so. I quietly and quickly run back to the playroom where she immediately giggles, she probably didn't want me to leave her alone. I smile a little but faintly in the background
I had just finished getting Amelia the ready for the day, when Anthony walks through the door, I send him a quick smile turning back around to look at Amelia. I feel his hand going around my waist causing me to freeze, he leans down smiling at Amelia just as I put her last sock on. Once she was finished I go to move but he takes my hand pulling me back towards him, he pulls me straight in front for him where he tucks a piece of my hair behind my ear. "How did I ever get so lucky to find you and Amelia?" He asks with a smile, wait so he isn't fully mad, he remembers he also found Amelia and we didn't have her. I was about to answer him but continuous rings of the doorbell causes us both to look towards the bedroom door, Anthony seems confused, obviously not expecting anyone. He tells me to wait here while he goes to the
