ELEANOR’S POV

“Damon!” I yelled aloud as I stood still in total darkness and heard the vacuum echo the name louder, but no response came forth.

Squinting my eyes and hoping that I might see in the dark, I tried to make my way forward, but somehow, I couldn’t as I remained glued to that one spot.

“Ha…vi…nah…” I heard a chilly breeze whisper as it blew past, and soothing laughter followed.

Still trying to wrap my head around who it was, a light shone from nowhere to land on a space right in front of me.

“Havinah!” The familiar female voice called out, and this time, it was clearer.

“Mum!” I whispered, tears forming in my eyes and my vision blurring.

No response came except a loud ring that caused me to yell a little as I covered my ears and eyes hard, hoping the pain it came with would pass.

Suddenly, everything came to a still. The air got warmer, and I felt a sense of peace surround me.

“Open your eyes, Havinah.” I heard Mother say, and I gradually did as told.
