"How long have you been standing there?' Melanie asked Tikka advancing closer

"Not too long "Tikka replied. Melanie made her way to the room leaving Tikka and Eros

Next Morning**

Descending down the stairs in a black leather pants and white t-shirts, Lewis arrived at the dinning table and thankfully,

Michelle is back

"Good morning sir" she greeted placing the last tray on the table

He nodded his head as a response and settled next to Miguel

"Morning Mr Lewis, hope you dreamt of me?" Miguel asked cheekily

His response was a smack on the back

"Pray for some sense already" Lewis rolled his eyes

"Ouch, meanie" Miguel pouted

"Rag doll ?"Lewis called. Melanie stayed mute immediately he arrived

She kept a staright face,she just sat down there eating her bagel

"Good morning lord Lewis" she said plainly chewing softly on the pastry

Taken aback by the way she addressed him, Lewis wanted to say something but cancelled the idea

She ate real quick and stood up

"Excuse me "she said dryly going up the stairs

"What's wrong with her??" Lewis asked himself

She's never acted this cold before,what could have made her change so quickly

"Won't you apologized?,I think she heard" Miguel broke into his thoughts

"Huh??, what are you talking about??Apologize for what exactly!?" Lewis scoffed loudly

"Tch,you still don't know. Gosh,you're such an airhead. Anyway, you'll figure it out on your own" Miguel shurgged his shoulder gluping down the last content of his coffee

"Thanks for the hospitality. But,I gotta bounce "Miguel said and left

Lewis suddenly lost the appetite to eat. He dropped his fork with his mind slowly getting disorganized

Her facial expression was so....blank and cold

He's never seen her like that and strangely;He's disturbed

"Maybe she's sick ??"he thought and stood up

Within minutes,he arrived at the door of her room. Lewis pushed the door open

He met Melanie seating next to the window with her eyes roaming outside the mansion

"Are you okay?? Melanie,are you sick or_"

"Am fine" she said plainly. She never bothered to look at him

She tried adding more color to his life but as usual;He treated and presented her like a slave

"Nothing will happen to your child. It'll be fine"

"Melanie what's up with you?? I know our child will be fine. Why are you talking like this !?"he half yelled again

"Apologies if I Infuriated you. Am just stating the fact that a sèx slave doesn't have a right over a child. You've already said it,once I give birth I'll leave. And I have no problem with that. "Melanie stop!" he yelled breaking her little speech

He watched her in realization that she must have heard his conversation with Miguel last night

Lewis glanced at her before facing Lanie. 

"I'll be back "he muttered exiting the room

"Lanie what's the matter??"Michelle rushed extremely curious

"It's nothing." She inhaled hard and advanced towards the door

"You hungry ?"Michelle asked

"I can eat a horse right now" she replied. They both descended down the stairs and eventually arrived at the living room

Melanie tried her absolute best not to glance at Lewis but her curiosity wouldn't allow it. 

Especially when he kept talking with a lady

"The contract just for a month and then I'll have the land ?"Lewis said curtly.

Lewis stared at her briefly before diverting his gaze back to the contract

"Who is she ?"Scarlett asked pointing at Melanie. 

Lewis stared at Melanie and the signed the contract

"My pregnant girlfriend" Lewis replied. Scarlett couldn't help but gasp lightly

'Y...you never told you had a girlfriend!?" she asked wide eyes

"Was it necessary. It's just a for one month and that's all. No need getting too formal" he responded and stood up

"What if I extend it?? Like for a year,am ready to stay by your side forever "she said in a desperate tone

"That's cute" Lewis smiled and ascended the stairs

"Michelle, take her luggages to the guest room "he said to Michelle and resumed walking

It suddenly dawned on Melanie that Scarlett would be staying with them. Maybe she and Lewis have a contract together

And tch,he never bothered informing anyone

"Hey you !"Scarlett sneered marching to Melanie

"What is it ?"Melanie faced her fully with a blank face

Scarlett got hold of her arm pulling her back. But she made a huge mistake

Melanie quickly gave her a huge slap and then swept her off the ground

Scarlett landed hard on the ground,her mouth is already bleeding

"Look here,I hate making trouble. But a piece of advice. If you see me run "Melanie warned and walked off

"Arrrgggggg, I'll make her pay!!!!" Scarlett sworn wiping the blood off
