5 The Mystery Man

“Liv?” I couldn't believe that the woman in mourning this morning had become someone else in the evening.

The woman in front of me was wearing a yellow halterneck top and a miniskirt. She had round earrings on each side of her ears. Her face was heavily made up, and her red lips were smiling at me.

Liv clearly saw my embarrassment, so she took out a gold membership card from her fancy Chanel bag and waved it in front of the security guard.

“This lady is my friend!”

The round-faced security guard put on a fawning face at once and gave Liv and me a smile as we entered the bar.

We walked down a blue, glowing circular passageway to the bar lobby, where masked waiters were shuttling plates from table to table. They were all topless and wearing nothing but a pair of briefs.

A few naked pole dancers on the stage are doing a very provocative dance, the music loud and full of passion. The men and women sitting closest to the stage let out sharp shouts from time to time. They seemed to be competing with the stereo for the loudest voice.

Screaming and Passion! The name of this bar is as vulgar as her guests! My eyes darted back and forth across the darkened hall. Where was Ron?

Liv took my hand and walked to the booth when a man in a black mask came up to her and asked what kind of wine she wanted. She nudged me and said, “Eva, would you like a drink?”

“It's up to you,” I replied casually, still looking for Ron. Liv leaned over and asked curiously.

“Why don't you take off your sunglasses?”

“I'm fine with it!” After the search failed, my attention shifted to Liv. “Seriously, no one is going to believe you that you just lost your husband.”

Apparently, losing her husband wasn't as painful for Liv as outsiders thought. On the contrary, she seemed happy! Otherwise, she wouldn't have come to the bar hours after the funeral!

“Eva, have a drink with me!” Liv held a glass of wine onto the table in front of me, and before I could pick it up, she finished her drink.

I held the glass in my hand and looked at her quietly. With a woman's intuition, I knew she would have something to say to me next. Sure enough, less than a few seconds. Liv lowered her head and spoke at a volume only I could hear.

“I'm free, Eva!”

Liv said, lifting the corner of her dress to reveal a visible scar on her lower abdomen. She pointed to the scar and said, “This is what Jeff did to me! Do you know why I always put so much foundation on my face? It’s to cover up the bruise on my face! Jeff was a monster. He not only drank and beat me, but he also betrayed our marriage. He even fucked my kitchen-maid!”

I squeezed the glass in my hand. Ron's betrayal made me hate every man who cheated on his wife, and Jeff beat up his wife. It was a far cry from his usual polite image!

Men are hypocrites and good at pretending!

Liv wiped the tears from her eyes with her fingers, “I don't care who killed him, but I'm grateful to the murderer, and now I'm free to spend his money. This membership card used to belong to Jeff.”

She held the gold card between her fingers and said, “Now it's mine!”

Liv pressed her lips to my earlobe and said sharply, “After the funeral, guess what I did? I peed on Jeff's tombstone!”

She looked up and laughed, her chest heaving like water waves! There was a look of revenge in her eyes!

I bowed my head in silence. I finally remembered that Liv had come to see me last life and asked me about divorce. She's hoping Ron can convince Jeff to get a divorce. However, Ron rejected her and said that she had no right to file for divorce. Their partnership should last until death!

When I told Liv the news, she turned away without a word. Then I never saw her again.

But now Jeff is dead and Liv is free! Does that mean my life can change, too?

“Eva, now I understand!” Liv said, staring at me. “As a woman, if you want a diamond, bug it. If you want a man...”

She paused deliberately, then looked at the waiter coming over with his drink. “If you want a man, f.uck him!”

After saying that she smiled and pulled on the man's underwear. The masked man was not only not angry, but sat down to her side. Then they kissed without any scruples, like a couple in love.

At their passion, the couch will be their temporary sex bed. In order not to disturb them, I choose to take the initiative to leave the booth.

I looked around the bar until I saw Ron's face on the side of a booth near the corner. There was a woman with red curls in his arms. I couldn't see her face, but I knew it was Gina. I'll never forget her red curls. She always looks cocky when she touched it on purpose.

Damn it, I'm gonna run over there right now and rip her face off!

I rushed to them, but suddenly a shadow blocked my way.

I felt dizzy and dropped my sunglasses. As I bent over to pick them up, a strong hand grabbed my wrist.

I saw a man staring at me with his deep green eyes!

He looks drunk! Oh, my God, he's so gorgeous.

In fact, his face was so stunning. He had a perfect square jaw, full lips, high cheekbones, and a broad forehead. His silver hair was thick and curly.

He was a big, tall man.

His muscles were strong and well-proportioned, and in the dim light, they were a healthy golden yellow.

God, he's so charming. And his body also exudes a strange sweet smell, like chamomile and fresh oranges!

“Mia, is you?” The man muttered to himself. “No, it can't be!”

“Sorry, I don't know you!” I was anxious to get away from the man's hands, but they held me like a pair of tongs. His tall body closed in on me, forcing me to step back until my back was against the wall.

I pushed him with my hand, but he pressed his whole body against mine. My breathing quickened at once.

“Please,” the man whispered, “Talk to me!”

“Since you won't let me go, I have nothing to say.”

He used the tip of his nose across my side of the face. The hot air from the man's nose poured directly into my ears, and I felt itchy!

“My dear!” He said.

“Get away! I'm not your dear!” I roared. “Let me go!”

“I won't let you leave me, never!” The man wrapped his iron arms around me, and I couldn't resist his strength.

It's no use screaming for help at this point. No matter what happens in this p**n bar, screaming is considered normal. So I continued to resist, but the man laughed even more triumphantly.

God damn it! Is there somebody help me stop this maniac?

“Boss!” A man's hurried voice came from the side. “You have an urgent call!”

“Fuck off!” While the man turned his head, I raised the thigh to the man's lower body to kick him. I feel like my knee is touching a hard rock!

Then I heard curses.

I ran away and saw Ron walking away with Gina in his arm towards the door of the bar.

No, I'm going after them!

But when I ran outside the bar, I couldn't find Ron. he was out of my sight again.

The sweet smell came again, and I dared not linger. So I rushed to my car and opened the door with great speed. I drove the car like I was running for my life.

Through the rearview mirror, I saw my pale face in, like a frightened rabbit after being chased by a tiger! The man's words always echoed in my ears.

“My dear!”

What the f.uck!

I stepped on the gas pedal and sped up. The car was speeding down the road. I can't remember how many red lights I passed by. Now I just want to go home.

Just then, a shadow rushed from the grass by the road. God! I slammed on the brakes and the steering wheel almost hit me in the forehead!

S.hit, did I hit something?
