I parked my car in an open-air parking lot in front of the Moore family company. It was a 70-story office tower, and the Moore family was involved in a wide range of businesses, half of which were gray businesses. There are hundreds of people working in the building. People come in and out every day. Everyone has their own desk, except me.

When Ron and I first got married, he showed me around his company. On the surface, he wanted me to learn about his family's business, but the truth was that he wanted to show me his power so that I could persuade my father to buy shares in their company.

Our marriage was a business marriage, but it took my father about a year to decide to take a stake in Ron's company after we were married, and then he sent Gina to the company.

Gina joined the Moore family business as my father's corporate representative. I remember when she first started her work, Ron just offered her a job as an office assistant. Now, I do not know her position in the company or h

“I'm sitting right here!” I walked to the end of the table and sat down across from the boss's chair."I don't think you heard me!" Gina stood up, her hands on the conference table, and she said each word with an accent, "To your place! Now!"I leaned back and looked at her coldly. The atmosphere in the conference room was now at its worst, and everyone seemed to be holding their breath as they watched the war unfold.Jenny looked down at the papers in front of her. She crossed her hands on the table and shrank her shoulders, afraid that if she moved, she would be drawn into our war.Just then, the conference room door opened and Ron walked in with his laptop. First he scanned everyone, then he saw Gina standing. He seemed to sense that something was wrong."Meeting!" As the boss, he broke the deadlock with a simple order, which immediately brought relief to the nervous staff present.Gina plopped back into her chair and glared at me with her big, exaggerated eyes. "To the gazebo?" I asked nonchalantly."OK!" Jenny leads me to the door of another office. "But I think you should say hello to the staff in each department first!""I couldn't agree more!" I smiled at every employee Jenny introduced me to, and I saw many unfamiliar faces. The people I used to know are no longer with the company, and some have even been reassigned.I did not immediately press the reason for the departure of the former staff. After all, today would not be the right time. Some of the core staff I saw were outwardly friendly to me, except a new intern in the administration department. She had a look of surprise on her face when she learned that I was Mrs. Moore, but the girl quickly hid the disbelief in her eyes with a smile. The girl had been on the job less than a year, but she was wearing a Prada suit and Bulgari earrings in her earlobes, and I saw her Cartier watch when I shook her hand. Her outfit is clearly out of place in her present position. The girl's nails got

"What's wrong with you?" I stood by the door and stared at her. "I believe this is my office!"“I know!” Gina said, slowly lowering her heels. She stood up and faced me, still in that haughty posture."What do you want to do in my office?" I asked, leaning against the doorframe.Gina didn't speak. She was walking on the carpet in her red heels. Her eyes looked curiously at the filing cabinet next to her desk. Then she wiped the dust off the filing cabinet with her fingers."See, you're like this dust!" She pointed her dusty index finger at me. "You're redundant to this office, to Ron!"I looked at her expressionlessly, wondering what she would say next. Is this where she's gonna blow the lid off a secret she's been keeping for a long time? Will she?"I think you'd better go home and be a housewife. You don't know anything!" Her mouth began to fire like a machine gun. She always speaks in an aggressive manner."I don't know why you're suddenly involved in this case, but I can tell you

There was a pungent smell of disinfectant in the ward, and the bed was surrounded by a white curtain. Out of the corner of my eye, a small white dot appeared. I guess the nurse put a piece of medical gauze on the end of my eye. At least my body doesn't feel any obvious pain. I guess I just scratched myself on the glass, and that hurt was nothing to me."Are you going to kill the apple?" My voice was dry and hoarse as I spoke.Frade was sitting in a chair by the bed. He stared down at the red apple in his hand, as if he were dissecting a corpse. The peel of the apple is covered with white flesh. I guess he's not very good at peeling.I was surprised that he dared to appear in the hospital. Isn't he worried about my husband seeing us together? Although it is probable that my husband will not come to see me. How did he know I was in the hospital so quickly?I don't have a cell phone, and I can't see the exact time, but I'm sure I won't be in the hospital for more than half a day. At leas

Frade drove me to the beach and we walked side by side on the beach. The beach here is so remote that few people pass by. At this moment, the sun is slowly setting to the west. The orange sunlight is aspersed on the sea surface along with the waves, and it is like a thin gold gauze to sway.We were silent for a long time. We walked slowly along the beach on the soft sand, like a real couple. Suddenly, Frade put his arm around my waist from behind, and we stopped at the same time.He looked at me deeply, his green eyes showing a look that was hard to guess. He touched my cheek lightly, his sexy lips parted slightly. The sea breeze was gently blowing over the beach, and he slowly bowed his head and kissed my lips. The kiss was tender and sincere. I didn't say no. I welcomed him when his tongue opened my teeth. It's been a long time since I've tasted a kiss. I've even forgotten what it's like to be kissed. He let a little fire appear in my original dead heart, let my original cold body f

I lowered my head and hid my body behind Frade's clothes. He gave me a curious look, and it was clear to him that I was running from someone. So he whispered something to the restaurant manager in a kimono, who then led us in the other direction.Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jenny talking to a man. Luckily, she didn't see me. She and the man went in the opposite direction."Who is that woman?" Frade sat on his tatami, his upper body standing upright, with a languid nobility."A clerk from my husband's company!" I took a sip from my white ceramic teacup. From the wooden sliding doors, we could vaguely see people passing by, but at least no one outside could see me in the room. That was a relief, and I'm still worried about being caught with Frade by someone I know. The feeling of cheating bothered me. Frade seemed to guess what I was thinking. His hand crossed the table and stroked the back of my hand."I told you. The lights above my head illuminate the dance floor, and the light and ambiguous dance music encircles the men and women like a soft and smooth ribbon. I took Frade's hand and was nervous because I hadn't danced with a man in a long time. Even after I married Ron, he rarely took me to parties like this."Follow my steps, slowly!" Frade pressed against my back. His whisper, caught in the dance music, floated into my ear like a thin cotton wool. One of his hands caressed my lower abdomen, and even the slightest touch from him made me feel like an electric shock. My arms were immediately covered with bumps.I'm slowly getting back to the way I felt when I went to prom in college. A yellow light lingered for a few seconds on Frade's half-masked face. I looked up and saw the words -- Green Manor.Green was my family name, and I knew that my home was not far away. I suddenly felt cold all over and even a little queasy. When the fear returned, I told Frade to stop the car."Are you all right?" Frade touched my forehead. "You're so cold!""I'm fine!" I took off his coat and took my old clothes out of the bag and put them on. I can't go home in such bright clothes. It's against the rules."Eva, can you tell me what you're doing?" My heart felt extremely painful. But I had to tell him about my decision. We have to face the truth eventually.“Mia was dead.”Frade's face froze for a few seconds. “She's dead?”“She escaped from the sanatorium, frantically searching for her father and questioning him as to why he had abandoned her. But I had to go jogging with him, so I changed into a white sweatshirt and drove to his estate. We jogged side by side on a path near the estate, with two bodyguards following us. I can't remember the last time I ran in the morning. I was a little out of it at first, but after a while, I got my breath back.“Do you need a few minutes?” Mickle, who was wearing a black, short-sleeved tracksuit, turned to me. “Looks like you haven't exercised in a while.”“I'm fine,” I said.“I'll wait for you at the lake ahead,” he said as he continued to run.By the time I got to the lake, he was resting. A burly bodyguard offered him water, but Mickle gave it to me.“You need water,” he says.“Thank you.” I opened the bottle cap and took a sip. According to Vickie's will, her body will be transported back to Italy for burial. So Frade decided to hold a simple farewell ceremony for Vickie in the manor. After the ceremony, he would be in charge of sending Vickie's body back home with Mark.Vickie was right that no Sicilian would refuse the dying wish to return home. This time, they offered to open their arms to the Logan family to show their deepest sorrow. The place of the farewell ceremony was chosen in the hall of the manor, and all the participants were dressed in black as a sign of mourning. Black-and-white photographs of Vickie's life were placed in the centre of the hall. As her body was temporarily placed in the hospital morgue, guests had to mourn over her picture in silence. Each of the guests held a white chrysanthemum in their hands and placed it in front of the tablet. Please leave the room,” the middle-aged brown-haired nurse said politely.Mark and I left the room just as Frade and Vickie's doctor came out of the other room. That was the room where they had been discussing Vickie's condition, and Frade's sullen face didn't look good. It's terrible.“Mark, please help me get Dr. Hans out of here.” Frade's voice was hoarse and tired, and the stubble on his face seemed to have grown overnight, making him look even gloomier.“Are you all right, darling?” I stroked his cheek and looked at the man in front of me

She looked at me a little stiffly. “My name is Joe. I'm a friend of Joan's.
