I slowly made my way out of the large towering gates and found a cab home. I woke up the next morning, and the first thing my eyes landed on was the rent increase notice that Adam had happily come to drop off the previous day. I got showered, ate breakfast and packed my clothes. My maid uniform smelt awful from all the sweat and different things that had poured on it, but all of my clothes were even worse because I had not taken any time to sort out my laundry. There were washing machines available in the basement for everyone in the apartment to use, but Adam was too much of a cheap man, and all of us had to cough up a few cents in order to use them, which was as good as driving your dirty laundry to some laundromat in town and getting it done there. I entered the mansion and walked around first to inspect it. The place did not cleaning at all. It was still very clean, and I wondered why Dominic always bothered me to come every time and why he even wanted me to stay with him so that I could get to cleaning earlier. After inspecting the house and walking around, I decided I would go to the guest bathroom and get changed from there. Unlike the tiny room, the bathroom had a lock, and I felt slightly safer knowing that I could get dressed in a room with a lock. I quickly slid on my maid uniform, which smelled really awful from a weird combination of body odor, sweat, and everything else. Sadie walked up to me with a smile plastered on her face as if we had been friends all those many years she decided to harass me. “Oh my, look at you. “HOMER!” Dominic yelled angrily as his hands quickly covered his bottom part, and then he reversed back into the room. I was not sure if I should continue running forward and end up in the kitchen or run back to the tiny room or eventually sprint out of the mansion. I had already been traumatised by Sadie, and then seeing Dominic like that made me feel even worse. I froze in the same spot until I decided to run straight to the kitchen. I prayed and hoped he would not come to the kitchen to get a glass of water still nude. Still feeling shaken and panicked, I remained in the kitchen for some time, trying to catch my breath. I subtly followed them around the house as Dominic showed Aaron what apparently needed reparing and fixing. To me and Aaron, it was nothing big. It was just tiny cracks on the wall, paint slowly peeling off and a random tiny crack on one of the tiles of the floor. To Dominic, it was a disaster waiting to happen. He claimed that if there was suddenly a natural disaster, the whole house would fall apart. If there was a random thunderstorm, the whole building would collapse just because of those cracks.
