Chapter 60

Luis leads Veronica out of the building and to the awaiting vehicle. All of the guards get into the vehicle and they start driving. They end up on the compound at the chamber building. The compound is surrounded by the rest of the teams that Vicente brought.

“Donna. Thank God.” Trish yells as she runs to her and pulls her into a tight hug.

“I’m so sorry Donna. We didn’t know he would do what he did.” Her head guard, Damien said as he looked down in shame.

“It’s not your fault. I should have moved sooner. It’s on me.”

“Baby, it is not your fault. None of this is your fault.”

Veronica smiles and nods. “Alright so who do we have here?”

“Just Oscar.” Vicente says with a smile motioning for the door.

Veronica smiles and claps her hands together. “Ready for some fun my love?”

“Always. After you.”

“Want to see why they call her the blood queen?” Luis asks Vicente, Trish, and the guards.

They all laugh and nod.

“The heads of the teams can join but the rest of you will have to watch the feeds.
