He nodded his head slowly like he was confused before answering my question.

"I'm fine," He replied.

I had to bite my lips to stop me from making any embarrassing sound because of the sound of his voice which was deep and demanding.

He dragged his eyes slowly from my eyes to my lips where I was still biting it then back to my eyes with his own eyes which were swirling with an emotion I knew I had in my eyes too.

I cleared my throat and face forward shuffling in my seat a little.

I sneaked a look at him and caught his eyes again, he let out a deep chuckle before running his hands hair.

The bell shook me from my daydreaming and I hurriedly put my books in my bag while scrambling out of the class.

*******

Lunch time came and I hurriedly went to the cafeteria and immediately I saw Tasha and Jackson sitting at our usual spot.

Jackson saw me and waved at me enthusiastically, almost falling off his chair, making Tasha laugh hard at him, almost choking on her apple juice as I approached the table.

"Hey dumbasses." I greet them with a bright smile.

"Hey chipmunk," Jackson says with a smirk on his face.

Weird.

Jay was always happy, yeah, but never this happy. And he was smiling like he knew something I didn't.

Opening up the bag Bryson packed my lunch in, I started eating. That was until I couldn't bear the looks Tasha and Jackson were both giving me.

"Okay!" I said, slapping my palms on the table.

"The both of you, spill!"

"I heard you shagged Luke's brother," Jackson says with a big smile.

Just as I was about to ask who Luke's brother was and who told him.

"Natasha told me," Jackson said while pointing at Tasha.

"Fuck you Jackson" Tasha replies him, glaring at him jokingly.

"And I'm not lying, she really did shag him, I saw him walk out of the balcony and that was where Iris came out from while I was looking for her"

Tasha said while smiling at me.

"Oh, you mean Luca, we did-" I said after remembering who she was talking about. So Luca was Luke's brother, huh, I guess that's why they were both so grumpy.

"Oh My Goddddd they really did.....I'm so proud of you babes" Jackson interrupts me, shouting loudly while gaining the attention of other pupils.

They were both looking at me like they were about to cry.

Giving them both blank looks.

"We didn't" I say after a few seconds of silence.

"What do you mean by-" Jackson was about to complete his sentence but was interrupted by Tasha's own words.

"So you didn't shag him?" She says after a few minutes of looking at me blankly.

"No" I tell her again, giving her the same blank look.

"You didn't even kiss him?" Jackson asks

"Nope" I reply him popping the p louder than usual.

"Welp there goes our efforts" Tasha says looking at Jackson with a sad face and a pout.

I laughed at their expressions while sipping my orange juice.

But I found myself searching around the cafeteria for a particular black-haired boy.

*******

I didn't see Luca for the rest of the day, even though I kept an eye out for him during lunch at the cafeteria.

The dismissal bell rang at 2:30 and I packed my bag and joined the flood of students trying to exit the school premises.

Deciding to take the walk home after waving goodbye to my friends, I plugged my airpods in and started playing my favorite song.

The walk home was short and actually calming, with leaves blowing in the cool tinged wind. It was September after all, so it wasn't that bad.

And it wasn't sunny today, the clouds were calm.

Going straight to my room when I reached home, I changed into light clothes and did the only homework I had for the day.

Then I grabbed my laptop and decided to watch a movie I've watched over and over again.

Orange is the New Black.

Shutting my laptop closed after watching for a few hours, I went downstairs to make dinner again but I was surprised when I heard noises coming from the kitchen, going into the kitchen I saw Bryson cooking.

Yayyy.

I loved it when he cooks, honestly, Bryson cooks so much better than me.

"I didn't know when you got back" I say stepping into the kitchen to get a glass of water.

"Yeah, I got back home later than I expected," He replied.

"Ohhh" I say to him, distracted by the smell of the food he was making.

"Yeahh ohhhh" He mocks me.

Sticking my tongue out at him. I took a seat at the countertop.

"How was school by the way?" He asks me after a few minutes of him cooking and me just relaxing on the countertop.

"Mehh, nothing special" I replied with a shrug of my shoulders.

A few minutes later, we're both sitting on the dining table and eating while chatting about anything that comes to mind.

"Alright Ri, I'm heading over to a friend's house, don't wait up for me again tonight. I'll take the spare key" Bryson said to me after washing his dish at the sink.

With a small frown, I nod my head yes.

These days Bryson doesn't even stay home at night anymore, and I thought we were going to have a movie night tonight since it was still a bit early.

He goes upstairs to his room, changes his clothes and comes back downstairs.

"I got a call from uncle ty and he'll be coming back home early today, so you don't have to be scared Iris" He tells me when he sees my face

Grabbing his car keys, he gives me a peck on my forehead.

"I love you" He says while ruffling my hair.

"Love you too" I say to him with a small grumble.

"Lock the door" He replies with a small laugh at my face.

Immediately he walks out the door, I click the lock and go wash my own dish.

Going upstairs I take a shower, and another pair of shorts, with a tank top.

Before going to sleep.

~

Waking up the next morning wasn't a struggle since I went to bed early last night. Going through my normal morning routine, which consisted of brushing my teeth, taking a shower, applying makeup and styling my hair.

I put on my outfit for today, which was a red cropped sweater and a short black skirt with a white pair of sneakers.

Looking at myself in the full length mirror, I almost wanted to hide in my wardrobe because of how my thighs looked with the skirt and how short my legs were. But I didn't, instead I swallowed my anxiety and insecurities and grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs.

I guess uncle ty left already, because I heard him come inside the house last night.

Grabbing an apple, I see a lunch bag with a paste-it-note from uncle ty.

I guess he made my lunch for me before he left this morning.

I wouldn't have to eat the horrible cafeteria food, thank goodness.

I smiled brightly when I heard a loud honk from outside, that was Tasha, she texted me earlier that she was coming to pick me up, after I told her I took the bus yesterday. I walked out of the house and locked the door before jogging towards her car and getting in.

"Hey Ri, you look good today, loving the skirt" She says with a small smirk to me.

She always begged me to get cute little skirts at the thrift store downtown, but I never really liked them. I'd rather go with my sweatpants, cargo pants and the rest of the pants.

But I guess I was warming up to the skirts.

"Thanks dude," I reply with a laugh.

We drive to school, while singing to Frank ocean.

Tasha and I are big fans of Frank ocean.

Driving into the school, Tasha parked at our usual spot and immediately I was about to get down from the car, a sleek black car parked right next to us.

And none other than Luca stepped down from the car, right in front of me. Wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and a white airforce. I notice a few tattoos running up his neck and peeking out of his hoodie running down his wrist and fingers. Then his eyes landed on mine and he trailed his eyes down my form, pausing on my skirt, before landing back on my face with dark eyes.

"Hey" I said to him, breathlessly.

"Hi," He answered. Still looking at me.

Clearing my throat and looking at the other side of his car, I see Luke and Tasha already going towards the school entrance.

"We should get going," I say to him.

Due to the flood of students crowded in the hallways, it wasn't easy to get to my locker.

Just as I was about to reach my locker, I was shoved to the locker beside me, making me bang my head on the iron, by some random student rushing to get to class, probably a sophomore.

"Watch it!" Luca growled slowly to the student who looked ready to hide in one of the lockers, while putting me behind him.

"I-I'm so sorry" The kid replies with a frightened look due to Luca's intimidating stance.

"It's okay Luca" I say slowly with a calm voice, while grabbing his arm.

The other students shuffled in fear when he approached them, their eyes wide open in terror. I wasn't even limping, it was just a bump on my head. "Put me down" I deadpanned. But he ignores me again. LUCA's pov Speeding off, I realised how much I liked this girl. She was an addiction, the feeling of them kissing was better and more rewarding than any nicotine. This was the best type of addiction. But like all addictions, he needed more. Driving,I reached home and got out. My life back in Norway was pretty great. Until certain changes came along. Walking into my room, I changed into some shorts and a T-shirt before grabbing a book from my shelf and started reading.

IRIS pov. He walked me to my first class, before walking towards the back of the school going to meet his friends, I guess. From what I've seen Luca only attended the literature class and he always looked interested in what the teacher had to say. My history class was always boring, probably because of the teacher. I tried my best to listen attentively, I really did but sleep got the best of me. It wasn't much of a big deal since I was literally at the back of the class. Getting out of my history class, I walk to my locker and take out my books for the next subject. English, I had English with Tasha. Ever since Luca started picking me up, I haven't had enough time with Tasha, and I planned to, today but Luca just had to drag me to his car like a caveman. Getting into English class,

Saturday came and Tasha was already ringing the doorbell loudly, thank God it was just me at home. I mean it was just 12 and I was about to get to the most beautiful part of my sleep. Sanitation on Saturdays in a black household is a must, so I've had a pretty exhausting morning but I feel a little better now after sleeping for a few hours. Standing at my doorstep was Tasha, with a pink sundress and sandals with paper bags hanging from her arms. She trotted in like she owned the place. "Yeah, come right in," I muttered sarcastically. Shutting the door with my foot, I follow her upstairs like a lost puppy. Plopping down on my bed, she releases a deep breath. "Please tell me you've at least showered" She deadpanned, looking at my shorts and big tee. "It's almost 1pm!" She screeched. "Calm your horses, will you?" I murmured, rubbing my forehead at her noise. "It won't take

Eating slowly and bringing up little conversations, I loved how he always listened to every word that came out of my mouth. I loved how things are always so easy with him and how his lips twitched when I said something funny, and how his eyes lit up when I fed him strawberries. Soon after we were done eating, we cleared the blanket before Luca stuns me and brings out a small pillow from his backpack and another blanket. He lays down before bringing me to lay directly on him, my thighs on the side of his which makes my skirt ride up before putting the other blanket over us,making me laugh out, "you had this all planned out didn't you?" I say to him, "Yeah, got a problem with it?" He replies, patting my bum lightly, making me snort at his confidence. "No, Luca. No problem here" I say to him, sighing in content as I listen silently to his heartbeat. "I could fall asleep like this" I say after a
