As I left my mate to Harleen’s care in my house, my mind was consumed by thoughts of Sabrina. Despite my efforts to focus on my work, her image lingered in my mind. Despite my decision to leave, my heart ached with the weight of my departure.

I could feel her emotions, a faint echo of her confusion, disappointment, and upset. Her feelings echoed within me, a mirror reflection of my own turmoil. It was a connection that transcended distance, a bond that tied me to her, no matter how far apart we were.

Guilt gnawed at me, I had left her acting like that, knowing it would cause her pain. My heart ached with the desire to be with her, it was overwhelming, yet the fear of scaring her held me back.

I yearned to be with her, to hold her in my arms, but I knew I had to be patient. She is a human and I couldn’t risk scaring her away. As a supernatural being, I understood the potential for my presence to frighten a human like her.
