THEO

Alpha Kade asked if he could speak with me privately, so Jackson let us borrow his suite. It used to be mine and his before I took over as Alpha, but my parents quickly moved into their own place.

“Would you like something to drink? My brother Jackson tends to keep a good selection of alcohol, soda, and energy drinks. He swears every good Beta needs them,” I explained.

“Apollo found a way to incorporate the costs into the salaries for all of our leadership,” he said, with a smirk. “I’ll take a shot of something because I know we could definitely use it today.”

Yes. We definitely could. We were all on the same side, but that did not mean it would be any easier on them or us.

Jackson was a vodka drinker, so I poured us both a shot and set the bottle between us. It took a significant amount of alcohol to get shifters drunk, but that increased even more for Alphas. Our metabolisms burned it off that must faster.

We clinked glasses before tossing them back.

Alpha Kade leaned his

Here was a heart to heart from Alpha to Alpha. Theo really needed someone to help give him perspective.

Theo and Kade seem more like brothers than Allies! It’s good he has someone who understands what he is feeling and going through. I hope Brynn and Elle tear the 2 apart that killed Brynn’s mom and I hope it’s slow and oh so painful! Then Brynn should kill Lauren!! I hate that these books have to end

BRYNN My mother had been my hero growing up. I wanted to be just like her – loving, selfless, incredibly brave, and would do absolutely anything for those she loved. The thoughts in my head drifted back to the letter I found in the book earlier. ‘My sweetest girl. I hate the fact that I had to leave you, but I know that you will become an incredible young woman. If there was one thing that I always admired about you was your resilience. Things could hurt you but never break you, and that’s exactly what I need you to remember when you stand in front of your enemies. Don’t let them destroy the person you are. I wish that I had been with you all these years, but everything that’s happened was exactly what needed to in order for you to reach your destiny. I will always love you, and one day we will be reunited.’ I had suspected she knew that death would claim here since my birthday. This letter from her just confirmed that. The reunited part was confusing though. Did she simply mean wh

BRYNN The bastard was letting his people fight his battle for him. His smug satisfaction really pissed me off. Could you say cowardly? They were expendable, and that was disgusting. This was the first time I had ever been on a battlefield before. I was not certain what to expect, but there was no way that I could have been prepared. It was nerve-wracking to see our people fighting against the enemy. The smell of blood and death hung in the air, reminding me of the harsh reality that there was permanence to those who fell today. I just prayed that they were not from our side. I was able to do a Matrix backbend just in time so that flying dagger missed me. I simply smirked at the bastard for his horrible aim. It was easy to see that he honestly thought coming here would be an easy affair for him to acquire what he sought – me. Too damn bad because we would never give in until we were the victors here today. Screams filled the air as Mystra and Fyst flew down and destroyed the witche

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 51

THEO My eyes surveyed Dark Moon pack members who came out to the field once I lifted the command to stay inside. We needed them to understand what happened because there was no way that we would be able to sweep this under the rug and definitely did not want to. Elle said that she would send out an Alpha command to everyone in this pack to figure out who the traitors were once and for all. “Stand still unless you are a traitor to this pack. Come to the front if you at any time have or would betray this pack,” Elle commanded. It was remarkable how strong her command was. It made sense given her lineage and all of that fun stuff. The quizzical looks on everyone’s faces as they became immovable were priceless. Normally, only Alphas could issue commands like that to their own pack members. Yet, Elle just accomplished something that should have been impossible. What was invaluable was the fact that it worked to show us all of our snakes. Ten…fifteen…seventeen people came forward. It f

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 52

BRYNN “Eighty-nine wolfies jumping off a waterfall. Eighty-nine wolfies –” Moira cut me off with a warning growl as she glared at me. ‘Please for the love of everything happy in the motherfucking world. Stop with the wolfies!’ We had been walking and walking and walking without knowing where the hell we needed to go or what we needed to find. There was no map, no clues, and sure as hell no ideas given about this needle in Selene’s haystack. “Do you have a better song to sing or an idea of what we should be doing to find what we need?” I asked with a huff punctuating the end of my question. I closed my eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. Breathe in … hold it … breathe out … repeat. “Sorry. I’m just frustrated, but I know you are too. Do you have any ideas?” I asked her sheepishly. The distance away from Theo was wearing on me like hell because I did not know if he was okay. Was he hurt at all? Did he know that I was fine? Were our people okay? The questions were killing me

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 53

THEO I pressed a kiss to my mate’s temple as we watched her parents reconnect. It had still not fully sunk in that her mother was alive and back here after having been killed. I felt an overwhelming amount of love and awe coming from Brynn. Her family was finally whole again after seven years of struggling through the reality of never seeing her mother again. Luckily, it was not the path or reality that was forced upon them until they eventually passed on from this world. I knew that Brynn and Moira were safe in Selene’s realm, but that did not abate all worry or fear that we would never see them alive and awake again. It was just a good thing that they did not take any longer because each minute without them beside us, Zen and I were edging a bit closer to insanity. There was a knock on the door. I knew who it was without even needing to ask because I had called for my parents and Jackson to come up. It was imperative for them to realize what happened before anyone else. Tris’ r

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 54

THEO I woke up before Brynn did, so I jumped in the shower to shake off the remnants of the nightmare I had where my mate faced off against an invisible force that destroyed her. The prophecy bullshit really fucked with my mind. The warm water pounded down against my back perfectly to act as a massage that my muscles so desperately needed. I had been so lost in thought that I missed the fact that my mate was awake until something warm wrapped around me. My eyes snapped open, and a deep groan came from me when I took in the sight of my sexy mate on her knees with me in her mouth. “Fuck, baby,” I grunted. Her darkened eyes looked up at me through her eyelashes, and nothing ever looked as sexy as she did in this moment. I had received her very first blowjob, something that I was incredibly smug about. It had been bliss in the purest form and fashion, but she had only gotten better since then. Her tongue swept around the knob on her way up and back down. My eyes rolled a little when

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 55

BRYNN The pack took the reemergence of my mother well. They were confused as shit, but they definitely placed their trust in us with all of this. There was only so much you could deny when all of our leadership was saying the same exact thing. I had been incredibly happy when I saw my parents’ marks at breakfast. They did not waste any time whatsoever, and I loved that. Life had gotten easier for my father over the years, but he was never the same after she died. He held onto the love they shared, but he was still lost without her. It warmed my heart when I saw him laughing and smiling at her like it was their first day together all over again. We had messaged Elle this morning to get her advice on instituting a Lamia rank and if she thought it would be possible. Her response was ‘hell yes’ in all caps. She had suggested there to be three like Nightshade had. “They’ll be here in just a few minutes, baby,” Theo said as he nibbled my shoulder, making me giggle. I looked up at the ma

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 56

THEO Jackson offered to be my sparring partner, so I definitely took him up on his offer. It seemed like something new was thrown our way the moment that something was resolved, and it was weighing me down. Brynn was being hunted by the Eyes because they wanted to enslave her and use her power for their own sick and twisted plans of domination. Now, she was going to have to face an unknown great evil. All who tried had failed apparently. What did that mean for my lovely mate? You guessed it! It was her responsibility to defeat whatever the fuck it was. Jackson ended up with a black eye, bruised ribs, and various abrasions. Trust me when I said that he gave just as well as he got. I was sporting a bruised jaw, a bruised rib, and a couple of busted knuckles. It would take maybe an hour for the busted knuckles to heal. The important thing was that it helped me get out my frustration. Fighting was a form of release for me. It was something that my father taught us growing up because o

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Sneak Peek at Book Two

SNEAK PEEK – “DESIGN OF FATE” - JACKSON Imeela. The name sounded like a prayer. Imeela was my mate that I met two days ago when she was being attacked by a group of vampires. She had held her own very well until it was not. Brynn had got me out of bed for a road trip but would not tell me where we were going. Luckily, she had the forethought to bring warriors with us. Goddess, she fought them like a lethal warrior. Not only was she deadly, but she was fucking gorgeous too. Brynn worked her charm and convinced her to come back here. She was given the choice to either use the extra bedroom in my suite or a guest room. Thankfully, she chose my suite. Well, our suite. However, she was extremely reserved, but I could not blame her. It was easy to see that her life had not been easy. That hurt Zeus and me to think about. She had woken up screaming from a nightmare this morning, and now she had been pacing in her room for the past hour. I had no idea what she was going through, but tha

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Epilogue

BRYNN “Have you guys decided on his name yet?” I asked, looking at the beautiful cherub in his arms. Beautiful blue eyes, peachy skin, a head of hair that matched his mother’s color, and the most adorable button nose. He was so perfect. “Matteo Ray,” he said, smiling at his firstborn. “Ray after his godmother just with a y instead of an e,” he said, winking at me. Tears stung my eyes, but I desperately tried to keep them there because it would ruin my view of the little guy. It had meant everything to me when they asked me and Theo to be godparents to their son. To share the same middle name as him meant just as much to me. I took Kalen from her father and got her situated. Goddess, she was two now, and each day was a new adventure. Everyone, us included, had been very surprised with how calm she generally was. There were times when that calm wore off, but that was a rarity in comparison. It seemed that the Goddess’ blessing was quite literal with blessing her with both strength a

THEO Remember that flash drive the doctor mentioned? Yeah, it had quite a bit of fucking shit on it. The contents definitely gave the Council everything that they needed to intervene. Trust me when I said that they definitely decided to intervene in a creative way once the bastard was apprehended. Would you care to take a guess what they decided? Mhm. Exactly! They called my mate in. So, we headed back over to Coverstone with a viewing party, consisting of all the leadership. Dahlia was thrilled to be brought in officially as Gamma Female. She was a multi-threat personality, so we would see how this played out. Brynn decided that we would be playing a new game. She still had not explained to any of us what it would entail other than to imagine Twister meets carnival games. That explanation really set me ablaze with need. I needed to witness this game and needed to see what damage it would cause. From what we understood, it would be the dipshit CEO, the doctor, and the P.A. all in

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 99

BRYNN Today would be interesting to say the least. We had a few things to accomplish, so we began our day early. Mira wanted to come along, and she accomplished it with those damn wolfy pup eyes that she perfected. That was her terminology, and I would never be able to think or say puppy dog eyes ever again. Our first stop would be to Coverstone so that I could question the doctor and P.A. myself. Trust me that was not why she wanted to tag along. Nope. It was because of our second stop. Theo, Mira, and I would be visiting the site where the study was being conducted. As such, we needed to look the part. That was why I donned a midnight blue pencil skirt and matching blazer with a white blouse underneath it. My hair was pulled back into a twisted bun. Only minimal makeup was on my face because I had always preferred to have a fresh look. Then I put on low heels because I did not want to kill my feet too much today. Mira looked so adorable in her little business outfit. She had insi

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 98

THEO We had left Scarsdale in promising hands. Alpha Scott, even though he insisted on us still calling him Scott, had many great plans to strengthen the pack and cleansing it of his father’s touch. We made sure that he understood that we were only a call or text away. Caleb and Thalia were growing closer and developing a sibling bond. She felt overwhelmed at times, but my mate was definitely helping her to find her place in the pack. Thalia had a rough life thus far, so we wanted her to feel free and happy. Brynn had taken it upon herself to work with her each day as she taught her self-defense. Thalia was a hard worker and eager to learn everything that she could. I watched as Brynn walked hand in hand with Mira from the swing set. These two females were everything to me. Although, I should add in the third one that I had yet to meet. Some of the guys had joked that I must be hoping for a little boy to help counterbalance the estrogen in the house. It would not bother me if all o

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 97

THEO Scott was left with the Council and their warriors to get things situated. Luna Charlotte and Richard offered to help Scott, but he just asked her to rest. Robert offered to take her to lay down somewhere, but she did not want to go back to the Alpha floor. He understood that and offered to take her to his home. They both looked happy with the truth of their mate-bond. They would have their own trials to overcome, but I believed that they could be happy together. We went with Caleb to see Thalia. He was extremely nervous, knowing that this was his sister. He also felt guilty because he had left, and even if he did not know that she was his sister, the truth remained the same. He escaped and found a good life for himself, but she was left here within the clutches of a lunatic Alpha. Hopefully he would one day see it was not a burden that he should carry. The past needed to be left in the past so that the future could be embraced. Caleb stood in front of the door that Scott had

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 96

BRYNN While the bastard Alpha was apprehended, we would need to deal with the remaining pack. An Alpha set the standard for a pack. This Alpha was a fucking bastard who did extremely despicable things, so it was safe to say that there would be more in this pack who shared the same ideals. First, we needed to speak with Scott. The safest option was for her to mindlink him, getting him up here. I helped her rinse off the powder first so that it was possible. Surprisingly, I was able to keep my anger reigned in when I took stock of even more injuries. Luna Charlotte was extremely embarrassed that someone else was seeing the state that she was in even if that embarrassment was misplaced because there was nothing to be embarrassed about. It did not take a rocket scientist to pinpoint what caused her to feel that way. “I want you to look into my eyes so that you know I’m speaking the truth with these words.” I paused until her eyes met mine. “What he did to you is unforgivable and shows

  • His Hunt for Redemption   Chapter 95

THEO As much as I did not want my mate to be on this mission, I did see how much her presence had already helped. From being able to pull on the shadows for our cover to doing what she did with the chick in the kitchen. Brynn and Moira had both been training hard with Tris and Paise to master her Vessel abilities. They still had not been able to identify them all since there were hundreds of possible abilities that previous Vessels had of their own. Not everyone had the same abilities. Thus, it was a long process of figuring out which ones they were able to utilize. ‘Our mates are powerful and sexy,’ Zen commented. ‘Not to mention that they both are really adventurous.’ He snickered as he remembered the last time that Moira surprised him by calling him out to her trail and attacked him. Okay, attack was definitely a loose term. You could not attack the eager and very willing. Her howls of pleasure were loud enough to catch the attention of a couple of patrol wolves. When they came
