Tanya’s POV

The cab man dropped me off at the villa and I hurriedly ran into the house. He was sitting there waiting for me with a glass of wine and a bottle by the side. He looked completely exhausted, his shirt’s buttons were undone and his hair dishevelled, the bugs that formed around his eyes were a clear indication that he was tired.

He slowly looked up at me as I walked in. His gaze was cold, not the usual softness that it had whenever he saw me.

“What is wrong? Is everything okay?” I asked as I moved closer and sat beside him.

“Where were you?” He asked.

“I was at moonlight haven, I missed my friends so I went to see them.” I answered.

“You know it’s risky.” He retorted.

“I was lonely and it was boring, I needed some air.” I told him.

“You should’ve told me.” He turned to look at me.

“You were busy…and I didn’t want to disturb you.” I said.
