Writer’s POVIt was two days since the trio met and agreed to team up and work together towards creating an antidote for the deadly chemical that threatened to destroy Shadowclaw. Tristan as usual was out trying to get information on the hideouts of the rogues and possible remedies to the substances. Five deaths had been reported within two days and the whole pack was beginning to rise in an uproar. Tanya snuck out of the house and headed to the lab where Denise and Ryan were waiting for her. “What did you guys get?” I asked when I got to the lab. “I’m sorry guys, I couldn’t get anything. My sources said they couldn’t come up with that much in two days.” Denise said.“Ryan?” I turned to him and asked sadly. I already knew the answer based on the look he had on his face, his response was the same as Denise’s. I felt my heart break into a million pieces, the people were dying and there was nothing I could do about it. I staggered and fell back on one of the lab seats while Denise an
The trio stood a meter away from the Old Nights Villa and watched as the guards patrolled the compound. They had to be as discreet as possible with their movements in order to avoid any suspicions from the guards.“How do we get in? Denise asked the guys.“I think you should go in first Ethan, you work for them and they will not suspect anything.” Ryan turned to Ethan and said.“How is that going to work?” Ethan asked.“You go in and pretend to have information for Jack and you cannot reach him so you came to find him here.” Ryan answered.“And then you can take that time to snoop around and see if your father is there.” Denise added.“You guys have a point…I will find a way to give you guys a signal when I get in.” Ethan said.“Be careful.” Denise cautioned him. He gave them an assuring look and walked away from their hideout. As he moved closer to the house, the guards turned and got their weapons ready to attack.“It’s me, it’s me.” Ethan called out with his hand on his head.“Why
Tristan’ POVAksher and I had been working towards getting a cure for the impending doom that was about to come. It felt like there was a log of wood resting heavily on my shoulders. Looking at the faces of the pack members who lost their loved ones made my heart break even more. Aksher and I made sure to flip through the books for any kind of information at all. We were there all night but it turned out futile. Tarrell noticed my frustration and spoke up.“I think we should get some rest, we’ve been at this since morning.” Aksher looked at him and sighed, he was prolly tired too but looking at my keenness towards getting something from the book, he was afraid to voice it out and Tarrell saying was a relief to him.“You are going to have wrinkles.” Tarrell said.“We have to find something. I can’t just leave Tarrell, my people are dying…You can go ahead.” I turned to him and said. He sighed and sat back watching me with furrowed brows. Moments later, his phone rang and he excused h
Tanya’s POVI opened my eyes and realised it was already morning and I was laying in Tristan’s bed and I sighed in relief. I was also in my night wear. What really happened last night? The only thing I could remember was sitting on the sofas in the living room and the trance or whatever that was with Orion. I’ll think about that later, I had to focus on the beautiful man that lay beside me. He was sleeping so peacefully and I didn’t want to wake him, his face also registered fatigue. I slowly took his hand away that rested on my body and tried to creep out of bed but then he pulled me back into him.“Where are you sneaking off to Princess?” His eyes remained closed as he asked. With my body pressing against his and his head buried in the crook of my neck, his breath rested sweetly on my neck and it gave me little tingles, the type that could charge me up and it already was.“I thought you were sleeping!” I said with a soft smile. He drew closer and pushed me into him the more. I curv
Tanya’s POVAfter a heated bath, we dressed up and headed out together. Adeline had already set the table for breakfast. She stood by waiting for us while Tarrell had already begun eating. There were four other men standing by the door, they were in all black and looked rather scary. “Good Morning Adeline…Morning Tarrell.” I cheerfully greeted them. “Morning Luna, how was your sleep?” Adeline asked. The look she gave me was rather odd, her eyes made me feel there was more to it but I waved it off, maybe she was just worried about me passing out last night.“It was fine Adeline, thank you for taking care of me last night, Tristan told me.” “It’s nothing my dear.” She humbly said.“Hi Tarrell.” I greeted again when I didn’t hear his response.“Hi Luna… How was your night and most especially your morning?” Tarrell teasingly asked, he definitely had his ears in our room. My face blushed pink with embarrassment.“And what is that supposed to mean?” Tristan looked at him and asked.“Oh!
Tarrell’’s POVThe night was old, the moon hung low in the sky and basked in its full glory. The pack was quiet, everybody had gone to bed too. I was about to go to bed too when I heard loud growling of the wolves, there was trouble and we had to rush to see what it was immediately. As I rushed out, Tristan was already rushing out.“What was that?” I asked.“I think they are trouble. Alert the men, we are heading out into the city now.” He ordered and I began to mind link the guards. We didn’t waste any time, we shifted immediately and allowed our wolves to take control and immediately they did, we ran into the woods heading towards the direction we felt the wolves’ scent coming from.We got there and saw dead bodies on the ground. Their eyes, nose, ears and mouth were all covered with blood. They were killed by the chemical. One of them was still breathing, Tristan rushed to her. “What happened?” He anxiously and furiously asked.“We…were partying…and suddenly, everybody became di
Tanya’s POVI entered his office and there he was sitting in his chair with his back to the door, anybody who saw him that way would know he had so much on his mind. I had to talk to my friends, we had a curing chemical, and we needed to bring it out immediately. I walked over to him and stood right in his face, he sighed heavily immediately he saw. His eyes were puffed and swollen, he had obviously cried so much. I thought about so many things to do to make him but nothing was coming to mind. I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips. It made him soften up a little. “Take him to the fountain, he will feel better.” The voice in me said and I was going to do just that. “Come with me.” I held his hand and he obediently stood and followed after me. I gestured at one of the guards to get into the car and drive. He sat there quietly all through the drive but his hand held onto mine so tight while I gently rubbed it.The guard followed my instruction and after a few minutes of d
Tristan's POV Gathering the people wasn't going to be an easy task but I was going to get it done regardless. As we drove further into the pack, I brought my phone out and placed a call to Tarrell. "Get the men ready and hurry to the houses closer to the borders, assemble all of them at the old pack house. Let every living soul Shadowclaw pack be there, young and old, male and female. Do it now!" I ordered. I ended the call and sat back in the seat. I couldn't lie, my body was shaking. The emotions that engulfed me at that point were intense in every level, relief and fear spread through my insides too."We will stop by the house, Princess, you won't be joining us. It's too risky for you and the..." I halted immediately. She didn't know it yet and that wasn't the best time to break such news to her. Immediately she looked at me with confused eyes, she knew I wanted to say something but I decided not to. "Is everything okay Tristan?" She quietly asked. In order not to lie to her
