Author’s POV

Jenny couldn’t believe what she heard, she turned numb for a few seconds and it took some time to sync what he said.

She couldn’t ask any questions, as if she forgot how to form a word.

With her eyes wide open and staring at him for what she couldn’t figure out but he did, as he continued to speak.

“ Freddy, was a colleague who became a friend of my father….” he slowly began, with his eyes turning glossy.

“ Freddy was somewhat the same age as my father and I used to address him as Uncle,.....i’ve seen him few times with my father……he had no family…..he was bachelor …despite of being in his late forties…..he never dated any woman…and when peoples would ask him way he would say he loves being alone, and enjoys his own company….it was weird..but peoples believed him…because apart from staying alone nothing about him seemed suspicious to peoples….he was fine living his life alone…..yet I didn't share much bond with him as I would hardly speak to anyone those days.
