Author’s POV “ C’mon, accept your loss “ exclaimed Maya as she glared at Sam who wasn’t ready to accept the fact that Maya won the bet. “ you cheated , otherwise “ he dragged the last word looking around finding a way to distract her from the over prodigiousness of her talent of predicting people's next moves. “ Did you realise how cheap and lame you have been from the past ten minutes ?” shooting daggers at him Maya smacked him on the back of his head, for which he just smiled and nodded off. Well, he had to accept it. It’s been an hour since Maya and Sam are waiting for Jenny at their favourite meeting spot. The Lasata restaurant, which not only serves coffee and cakes but also provides interesting games that would involve people’s full attention and strength. Despite having all kinds of games, like video games, whirl cars, ball game, cricket and karaoke, Maya and Sam decided to spend their time predicting what every third person they saw around would do, who’s guess
Author’s POV Turning the knob of the door Maya pushed open it walking inside as her eyes scanned the hall. Disappointment covered her face as her eyes didn’t find the sight she always wants to look at. Taking off her heels she sighed as his shoes weren't on the rack which means he is not back yet. Dropping her bag on the couch leisurely she slumped on bed stretching her arms out of exhaustion while a faint yawn left from her mouth. For the last few days she hasn't been getting enough sleep and rest because of the rush between the office and Jenny’s home. Sometimes, she would be working till late night to complete her pending works. Skipping the meals, and sleeping made her look like a ghost as she turned pale and lean. Her chubbiness was melting, and she wasn’t happy about it. She loved every inch of her chubbiness, and watching her figure turning lean she got worried over her health and decided to give some attention to her body as well. Looking around she grabbed the wat
Author’s POV “ You’re mother is beautiful and her nature as well “ said Jenny standing near the window as she looked out through the glass. The pretty warm weather was snoothing to her eyes. Gazing out, she noticed the flower plant down in the garden. The greenery of the garden reflected the care it is getting. She isn’t a plant lover for sure, but sometimes she just likes to sit between the plants and let her thoughts wander around feeling the fresh touch of air surrounding her. A Garden is the best place in the house according to me. As it is the only place where a person can get relief from a busy life. Furthermore, the smell of the flowers can refresh a person’s mind in the morning. However, in this era, people are not able to build a garden, because of the lack of space. And also some think that it is a waste of space. So the gardens are no more present in the house. On the other hand, gardens in houses are necessary. In order to lead a peaceful life, a garden plays a major
Author’s POV There is something haunting in the light of the moon, it has all the dispassionately of a disembodied soul, and something of its inconceivable mystery that creates a space of silence in people's mind whenever they tend to look at the moon. The dangerous beauty of the moon makes people astonished for a few seconds until they regain their senses. The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections and yet so attractive and radiantly gorgeous. The moon is an exuberant sign of romantic relationships, possibilities when we must trust our intuition and recognize that now we have an opportunity to ‘go for it!’ Such a moon night may not be the perfect time to join an outdoor-hiking
Author’s pov “ Nervous ? “ Asked Jenny as soon as Ryan entered the bedroom, their bedroom. Shrugging his shoulder Ryansomehow managed to pull an act of not bothered but the sweat on his forehead that slided slowly though his cheek bones and went through his neck then hid somewhere inside the white shirt he was wearing said how anxious he was. Jenny shook her head in disbelief as she watched him disappearing inside the washroom not even sparing a glance at her. “ liar “ she mumbled to herself and chuckled. Looking around she noticed the white lilies decoration all over the bedroom as if it would really turn them on and make them consume their marriage tonight itself. Marriage. A smudged smile appeared on her face as the thought about the moment when they finally become each others better half officially. It’s been twelve hours since both of them exchanged their rings and vows and kissed in front of the people declaring their never ending love now turned into a lifetime pr
Author’s POV “ you could have told me beforehand Ryan '' her accusation raised her voice. “ what was the need to hide it from me ? me???....do you think i would have judged you ?'' The pin drop silence enhanced her voice louder in the room, between them. Ryan felt helpless, like he always does in front of her. But tonight this context is different. When he told her about his phobia and the therapy he is taking help off to heal his scars. He knew he should have talked about this to her when they dated, or at least before their wedding. And now when she suddenly had to face all the truth about him, it made her feel like she knew nothing about him, which eventually added fuel to her anger. “ I thought …..the abusive childhood was the only thing you kept away from me……but..” and that’s when her eyes softened, and a second later it turned glossier thinking about how easily she got fooled. He had a phobia that forbids him from involving in intimacy, and many times she went overbo
Author’s POV Honesty is the pillar for any relationship and Ryan had missed that factor in his. Even though he has his own reasons to hide it from Jenny, yet his act can’t be justified. She deserved to know these things from him, even before the wedding. She would have understood him, she would have stood with him in those situations when Ryan had a hard time to face his own self. Being in love isn’t only about spending beautiful moments together, but staying and standing with the partner even in the ugliest situations. While Jenny was spending her night wondering about whether she should be angry at him for hiding such things from her, or she should be consoling him for the things he went through and didn’t tell her about. She knew that everyone has the kind of chapter in their life that they won’t be reading out loud. But, this part of Ryan’s life is something that matters to her as well. Because she loves him, a bit more than she loved anyone else before. And knowing that he f
Author’s POV The rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky. Golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene while The just-risen sun shone softly on the city streets, bringing with it a flurry of early-morning activity. Jenny’s sleep was disturbed by the warm sun rays that fell on her face straight through the window. Rubbing her blurry eyes, Jenny yawned softly before she noticed the weight on her body. Turning her head to her left side she saw the adorable sight she could ever imagine. Ryan was sleeping, with his head on her chest and his rest of body on hers. His legs were tangled with hers, while his arms were wrapped around her stomach. She was stunned to find herself in such a proximity with him. Inhaling the freshness of morning, she smiled looking at his messy hairs that almost covered his forehead fully. His almond shaped eyes were shut, as he breathed in rhythm. Slowly freeing her left hand from his hold, she stroked his mushy thick hairs tenderly. Certainly she real
