Chapter 6

She hurried into a bathroom stall not really paying attention to anything else around her. She then quickly finished her business. As she was coming out of the stall, she couldn’t help but feel a presence to her left.

As she looked over her shoulder, she found a small brown wolf snarling at her with black eyes. She gasped and jumped at the site before trying to run to the door. The wolf lunged at her and Sonya screamed.

Sonya tried to fight off the wolf but she was caught off guard at how fast it was. She didn’t even have time to shift. As she spun around to try to block of the wolf’s blows, it pushed her head into the wall knocking her out.

Sonya had regained some of her consciousness a few minutes later only to realize the small wolf was not alone now. Sonya was in a lot of pain all over her body but not being able to tell what happened. She held her eyes closed listening to the voices.

“What do you want me to do with her?” A man’s voice rang out. Sonya noticed the man sounded worried and irritated at the same time.

“It doesn’t matter. Just get rid of her. She can be your sex slave for all I care.” A naggy, high-pitched woman’s voice pierced her ears. Sonya couldn’t help but gasp and try to get up.

“Oh, look she’s trying to play dead.” The woman said chuckling manically. Sonya quickly realized the woman was Gidget.

“Time to play Sonya.” The man said. Sonya knew he looked familiar but did not recognize him in that moment. She just started crying hoping they would leave and stop hurting her. Her head was swirling and she was so dizzy with a pounding headache.

Sonya tried to scream but the man put his hand over her mouth. Sonya bit into his hand and pushed away so she could try to shift.

The man grabbed Sonya by the throat and held her in place squeezing her neck. Gidget started biting and clawing all over her body.

The man pulled Sonya from Gidget and slammed her into the wall face first. He ripped off her shirt and her skirt. He reached around ripping her bra and panties off. He held her with his weight and knee against her into the wall. He reached one hand around to squeeze her breast and the other down to her sex. When Sonya was about to give in and go numb, she felt a surge of power from inside her that pushed both Gidget and the man away from her. Once the man let go of her, she fell on the ground.

Sonya tried to scream but couldn’t from the pain in her throat. Once Sonya realized they were both gone she relaxed and passed out again. She was left in a slowly growing pool of her own blood.

When Jake was paged asking what he would like for lunch, he realized that Sonya had not come back yet and became extremely worried. He asked Caleb if she had gone downstairs but he said he hadn’t seen her since he took her to her office this morning.

Jake quickly got up and ran to the restroom. He knew it was a women’s restroom but he didn’t care because he needed to know that Sonya was okay. Jake opened the door to find walls caved in all over and an unconscious Sonya laying on the floor in a pool of blood. She was badly bruised, her clothes were ripped off with her naked body exposed, and claw marks everywhere.

Jake scooped her up and held her into his chest to shield her nakedness from anyone looking. He took her back to his office and mind linked the doctor to get to his office immediately. Jake covered her with a blanket and continued to hold Sonya on the couch until the doctor showed up.

“Please baby. Please wake up. Please be okay.” Jake kept softly cooing in her ear.

About 10 minutes later, Doctor Stone showed up. He was an older man with gray hair and a scruffy beard. He wore wide rim glasses and carried his doctor’s bag with him. He rushed to Sonya and asked the Alpha what happened.

“I don’t know what happened. I found her on the women’s bathroom floor like this in a pool of blood.” The Alpha cried out.

“Has she been out since you found her?”

“Yes.”

“I need to see the amount of blood she has lost. Can you direct me to where the bathroom is where you found her.”

“Yes, it is the one just down this hallway to the right about half way down the hall.”

“Okay I will be right back. Keep this compress on her forehead until I come back.”

“Please hurry. If she isn’t okay then you will not be okay. She is my mate and will be your priority.” Alpha Jake yelled.

“Understood Alpha. I will be right back.”

“Please baby I need you to come back to me. I just found you and I am not ready to lose you.” Jake said softly in her ear again. Then lightly pressed his lips to hers. Sonya started to stir a little at the kiss.

“That’s it baby. Come back to me.”

Sonya slowly opened her eyes only a small slit. She was mesmerized with Alpha Jake’s beautiful face. He was clearly distraught. His well-groomed beard tickled her face as he pressed his lips against her temple.

“I really love it when you call me baby. I think I could get used to that.” Sonya choked out in a strained voice.

Alpha Jake jumped a little when Sonya spoke but looked down at her and pressed a hard hungry kiss against her lips.

With a huge smile on his face, Jake said “You are my baby now and I will love you forever.”

Just then the doctor came running back in gasping for air. “Alpha…she’s lost a lot of blood. We need to get her some fluids.” The doctor then looked down to see Sonya awake and with a look of relief he said “Oh it’s so great to see you awake. We really need to get some fluids so you can regain your strength.”

Sonya nodded and tried to get up but Jake held her close and said in her ear “You don’t want to do that. I will just carry you. No one can see what is mine without my approval.”

At those words the memories of what happened came back to Sonya. She was hit with a crippling panic attack and was having a hard time catching her breath.

“Ssshhhhh slow down baby. Take some deep breaths.” Sonya looked into Jake’s eyes and felt herself relaxing with her breathing returning to normal.

“Let’s take her to my city apartment around the corner. It’ll give her privacy and it will be easier to protect her there.” Sonya nodded to agree and the doctor immediately got up, grabbing his bag, and getting on his phone for what he needed from the hospital.

“I will go pick up what I need and meet you there Alpha.”

“Okay sounds good.” Alpha Jake held Sonya in his arms like she was weightless as she snuggled into his chest. He made sure she was completely covered before heading out of his office.

The Alpha took the back entrance down to the parking garage. When he opened the garage door, they were met with two big muscular men.

“Alpha your car is ready” The blonde man said as he gestured where to go.

The car stopped right in front of the Alpha. After making sure Sonya was in the car, he slid into his seat next to her. He kept a firm grip on her while they drove the few minutes to his building. When they entered the apartment building, Sonya noticed more security and the gate dropped on the parking garage before the doors were even unlocked on the car.

Once they pulled up to a door, the car stopped. Two more muscular men came to the car and opened the door. “Alpha” they said in unison. He nodded at them while getting out and then pulling Sonya back into his arms.

When they went through the door, they were met with two bigger men. Both were very muscular and exuded power. One was blonde with super short hair and the other had short red hair and freckles. Sonya assumed these two men were Alpha Jake’s Beta and Gamma. Both men had straight serious faces and ear pieces in. They held open each door they went through and checked everything before they stepped into another room.

The Alpha continued to carry Sonya bridal style against his chest. Sonya was snuggling in deep against his hard chest. The deep rumble of his voice in his chest and the rhythm of his heart rate calming her. Once they reached his apartment Sonya looked around to see where they were.

“Would you be comfortable laying in my bed while you’re healing?”

Sonya nodded shyly. She bit her bottom lip while her cheeks started to blush. Jake looked down at her and smiled. He was thinking he would never get tired of her innocent looking face.

Although he was excited to break her out of that innocent shell, he knew he would never be able to push her into something she wasn’t ready for. Especially after what she went through today. He was just hoping she was comfortable enough to tell him what happened today.

Jake took her to his bedroom and laid her down on his bed. He covered her up with the blankets.

“I’ll be right back. I am going to go to the bathroom and get it ready for you if you want to take a shower or a bath later. Are you okay if I leave you for a couple of minutes?”

“Yes, I will be okay. You’re just going in that door, right?”

“Yes, right through there. I will even leave the door open if you want so you can call out if you need anything and I’ll come running my love.”

Sonya pecked him on the lips and replied “Thank you! Yes, that will be okay. I’ll be waiting here for you.” Jake kissed her deeply but was gentle not to hurt her and then rushed to the bathroom.

Jake got out towels and wash clothes out for Sonya. He also got one of his t-shirts out of his closest for her to wear for the time being. He used the toilet quick and ran back to Sonya after washing his hands.

“I’m back baby. Are you okay? Do you need anything? Pain anywhere?”

Sonya chuckled and shook her head. She reached for his face putting a hand on each side of his face and pulled him down to kiss her.

They were interrupted by the doctor coming in saying “sorry that took so long but I have everything ready to get Sonya some fluids Alpha.” Jake moved to the other side of Sonya and held her hand while the doctor started the IV and hooked up the fluid bag.

“We should give you a shot of antibiotics as well Sonya to prevent any future infection.” Sonya nodded to indicate her agreement.

“Baby can you tell us what happened? If you’re not comfortable it’s okay but it might help us, take care of the people that caused you pain.” Jake pleaded.

Sonya smiled sadly as tears started running down her cheeks but nodded.

Sonya struggled to speak since her throat hurt still. “When I came out of the bathroom stall, there was a small wolf outside the door that knocked my head into the wall. I think I was knocked out for a few minutes because everything was hazy and I don’t remember anything after I hit my head. I remember waking up to a man and woman talking about what to do with me.” Sonya’s body shook and she took several deep breaths. The doctor gave her a shot of a sedative to calm the panic attack.

Jake ran his fingers down her arm and lightly kissed her forehead. Sonya continued, “The woman told the man he should take me and he could make me his sex slave.” Jake let out a loud growl startling Sonya.

Jake grabbed Sonya’s hand and squeezed saying “I’m so sorry baby. This should not have happened to you. I promise nothing like this will ever happen to you again.” Sonya leaned into Jake and he kissed the crown of her head.

“After they talked about him taking me, they realized I was awake and they both attacked me. The woman bit, scratched, and clawed me. The man slammed me against the wall, stripping my clothes off, and grabbing my breasts…and….my…my….I can’t say it.” Sonya said embarrassed and shaking violently.

“It’s okay baby. Do you mean down here?” Jake put his hand over her lower belly and Sonya nodded. Jake took special care not to touch her yet.

“And then everything gets hazy and confusing. It felt like there was a power or something building inside of me and then they got pushed into the wall behind me. I fell on the floor and then I remember being picked up by you Alpha.” Jake held her tighter and kept kissing her.

He kept repeating “You are okay baby. Nothing with ever happen to you again baby.”

Jake then asked “Did you recognize either of them?”

Sonya nodded slowly. “The woman was Gidget from the front desk but I didn’t recognize the man. He looked familiar but I could not place him.”

Jake was red faced and visibly upset upon hearing that Gidget was responsible for his mate being hurt.

Jake mind linked his security detail ‘Bring me Gidget Jones immediately. Take her to the interrogation room.’

‘Yes sir’ they all said in unison in mind link.

“I think it would be a good idea to give you something to help you sleep miss. Would that be, okay?” Doctor Stone inquired.

“Yes, that would be a good idea.” Sonya responded. “Will you stay with me until I am asleep Alpha?”

“Yes of course baby. And you don’t need to call me Alpha.” Jake continued, “I will have to take care of a little business but I will not leave before you are asleep and there will be guards here for you. I promise I will not be long.” Sonya nodded and then snuggled into his chest. The Alpha nodded to the doctor who put a shot of medicine in her IV.

Within a couple of minutes Sonya was fast asleep. The doctor nodded to Jake and took his leave after checking her vitals again. Jake moved her more into the bed so they could snuggle under the blankets but have pillows to lay on.

After about three hours the doctor came back in and removed the IV. As Sonya was looking better and the bag of fluids was empty. The doctor nodded to the Alpha and took his leave.

When he was almost asleep, he received a link saying ‘Alpha sir’.

‘Yes’ Jake linked back.

‘We have Miss Jones in interrogation ready for you.’ Beta Gregory stated.

‘Great. Send me four guards to watch my Luna, give her the truth serum, and I will be right down.’ Jake replied.

‘Right away Alpha.’ Gregory replied.

“I will be right back baby. I am leaving you with four guards. There will be two outside the bedroom door that will stay open and two inside the main apartment door.” Jake whispered to Sonya. She nodded and sweetly said “Thank you for taking care of me. I love you, Jake.”

“I love you too baby. Now stay here naked for me and I’ll be right back.” Jake kissed her passionately before he got out of bed making sure she was covered completely. Since she was naked, he didn’t want anyone seeing anything that was his unless he allowed it. He softly kissed her one more time before he left.

Alpha Jake made sure that he had his Gamma Jim and his top warrior Ben, outside the door. “Do not let anyone but me in. And don’t you dare go in there unless it’s an emergency.” Jake chuckled. Both men smirked and nodded to him.
