Jurius

After what had happened between us, I knew she had many questions. Questions about why I was at her house the day I caught her when she tried to commit suicide by jumping from her window. She was now following me into the forest, where Dad had instructed me to kill her. I could smell her—a scent of rare roses. My hands tightened in pain, wishing it didn't have to be so for us.

Freya

I went behind the trees where he had vanished, and there I saw him walking straight ahead. Where was he going? I paused to watch him curiously and worriedly. After the encounter I had back at home with the wolf that almost killed me, I feared he might not be as lucky as me. I somehow felt he didn't hear what Ms. Burrow had said, and so I decided to chase after him to warn him that he should stay within the group.

"Jurius," I called, walking hastily, taking the same path he had taken.

My arms were held to my side, scared that a wolf might jump from the bushes and rip me apart. I wanted to turn ba

FreyaIf someone were to predict my future and tell me I would die at the age of 17 from a fallen tree, I would never believe them. By suicide, yes, that is what I would have believed. It's scary that one would wake up and go on with his day, believing he'd see the next day when the current day was his last.I thought I had died; I believed the tree had crushed me into a paste, but I didn't feel any pain. How didn't I? Didn't death come with any pain? Or was my death so fast that I died without realizing I had?No, I wasn't dead; I was alive. I felt my eyes flinch. My eyes opened, and immediately they widened. Jurius was standing over me. My eye surprisingly went to his right hand, and my mouth too widened seeing him one-handedly holding the humungous bark of the tree. His eyes stared into mine, showing no emotion or struggle with the heavyweight he had in his hand."Grrr!..." he growled as he pushed the tree aside.I watched with a racing heart as the tree fell hard onto the ground, c

JuriusWitnessing what I could do and that my strength was inhuman. I was ready for a kill—to put an end to her. To stop the misery, she had caused me and the effect it now had on my father.I was prepared to slash her throat open and bury her where no one would find her. But instead, my claws froze beneath my skin.I thought she would be terrified of me, seeing what I was. She wasn't. I smelled no scent of fear emanating from her body. She was calm, taking it as if it were something she saw often. She got up from the ground. My eyes kept changing uncontrollably back and forth into my wolf as she did."You're the wolf," she said as she stood. A single footstep away from me.She recognized that I was the wolf who attacked her.Her head is now lowered. One of my hands was raised for a strike, but like always, she made it difficult to kill her.She wept.A pain struck me in the heart—loathing she was. It is difficult to see my other half cry. Her tears made me miserable."You're a wolf s

  • His Forbidden Soulmate   Chapter 28

FreyaMany nights I've cried at my bedroom window, looking up at the moon, pleading to it to transform me into a wolf, for I believed I'd be happy once I am. I would be happy as the female lead in the werewolf romance novels after they've found their fated mate. The male wolves always seem to do so no matter what the female characters are going through, and so I was without any doubt I would receive what I was longing for: To be loved, seen, and cherished.Amongst a meadow of daisies A white-petaled plant with a yellow centre. I lay facing Jurius as he rested on his side, staring into his eyes. He returned my every gaze. After the shift, he was left naked; his clothes were torn apart. While resting on his side, one of his legs was across his lower body, covering his manly features. I didn't mind, for I was too infatuated with the fact that we were soulmates—that I was mated to a wolf shifter. A creature I assumed was just a myth, but now staring into Jurius eyes and seeing him change,

FreyaI thought Jurius would return to school and one of his arms would be wrapped around me while we ate our lunch together, and we'd strode along the length of the corridor just like the students who were in love since we were soulmates, but I didn't see him.I played with my food, worried if he was okay. I was concerned if his alpha had somehow found out about us and killed him. My heart raced at that thought. I didn't know much about real wolf shifters other than the made-up ones in the novels. "Excuse me," I told Dolly as I got up from around our lunch table."Where are you going?" she asked inquisitively."To the lady's room," I told her as I walked away."Okay, don't take too long; we have a lot of things to talk about!" she yelled.Dolly was anxious about the party after the football championship. She wanted to talk about the outfits they'd wear and how their hair would be done.I'm not sure if I will be going, but if Jurius asks me to, I will say yes without hesitating.I we

Freya"No need to fear me, for this beast is yours to be tamed," Jurius said as he embraced me in his arms, and I no longer felt worried now that I was comforted by words. We both lay down on the bed. Jurius held me from behind. His arms were around my waist, and we both admired each other's reflections in the room's mirror before us.I played with the length of his finger around my waist, sliding my fingers up and down against it."It's like a dream holding you in my arms, I heard him say. I cannot believe it is true." His voice was soft and unhurried. A side of his face squished against my cheek as he now held me tight in his arms.I then spun around, staring into his eyes and no longer wishing to admire their reflection within the large rectangular mirror, and I gently touched his face."This is not a dream," I said as I lowered my head for a kiss.He smiled as my lips parted from his. It was the most beautiful smile I'd seen. His hand then reached out to my cheek, and he kept stro

Jurius I rushed from the gym, and I almost collided straight into Mom. I managed to stop myself before I could. "Why are you in such a hurry? my mom asked inquisitively. "I'm sorry," I apologized instead of answering her question, and my head kept turning, searching to find where my dad was. "Jurius," my mom called, causing my attention to shift to her. "Are you okay?" she asked, seeming to think that something might be wrong. "I'm fine. Do you know where Dad is? I asked. "He's in his office," she answered. I scurried upstairs, and I immediately slowed down the moment I got to the office door. I stood still in the same position until I felt I had enough confidence to approach him. My hand folded into a half fist, and I knocked on the door. "Come in," I heard my dad's strong voice instruct me, and I carefully took my time shoving the door wide open. His head raised from his desk as I did, and his head lowered back, disappointed. I pushed the door closed and stood in the ce

Freya I rolled along my bed and reached for my pillow, giving it a tight hug. A bright smile lightened my face. Being in love was a beautiful thing; it made me want to twirl and dance in circles across the room, though there was no music playing. I did. I got off the bed, still holding the pillow tighter than I had, and I danced with it as if it were Jurius and I dancing—my soulmate. In my head, I pictured us dancing at the football championship afterparty; he was dressed handsomely in a black tuxedo with a white interior, a long black tie, and shiny leather shoes, and I was wearing a beautiful white dress, a dress the princess in a fairy tale would wear. I stopped and rested my face against the pillow as if I were suffocating myself, and I closed my eyes, imagining Jurius and me in that meadow of daisies again. At the place where I received my first kiss, I visualized him biting my neck and marking me as his own while we made love. My eyes slowly began to peel open, somehow wis

FreyaA big, dark gray wolf had jumped into the vehicle, smashing the front mirror. I shouted and shielded my face with both hands as sharp shards of glass shot into the van.The car went out of control and collided with a tree. Soon, the horn of the vehicle went off.My face twisted in pain as I uncovered it with my hands."Are you okay?" Jurius said next to meMy attention steadily went to him, and I saw he was injured."Jurius, you're bleeding," I told him fearfully. He inspected his wound by touching it."I'll be fine," he assured me, his face contorted in misery.I then noticed that his injury was gradually fading as he healed."I need to get you to safety now," Jurius said as he exited and opened the door of his car. I unbuckled my seat belt as he did.Jurius opened my door and assisted me in getting out of the car. I was gripped by panic as we stood in the dark. Jurius sensed I was, and he grasped one of my hands into his, holding it."Is your father close to us?" I asked him f

FreyaThe day I was upset with Dolly, and angrily stormed off from school. I didn't go to school the next day. I lied to my grandmother that I felt too sick to attend school. I was too worried to go, knowing that Jurius would see the werewolf councils. I feared that they would never accept Jurius and me being together. I'm glad they did.Jurius wasn't at school yet, so I looked for Dolly. I needed to apologize to her for how I treated her.Two of her close friends, Becky and Tamara, were chatting by their lockers."Hi. Do you know where I can find Dolly?""She's not here yet." Tamara answered."Thanks." I walked off."Freya." Becky stopped me.I turned to look at her."What is going on between you and Dolly? She's been down since the day you drove off upset." Becky was curious."I can't say. But everything will be fine between us pretty soon," I reassured them. They nodded, and I went to wait in the parking area for Dolly.I was leaning against a wall when her pink Porsche was driven

She gently squeezed my hand, not wanting me to leave."I can't."I wanted to, but my head kept ringing with my dad calling me telepathically, wanting me to come home."When will I see you again?" Her hand let go of mine, and it folded.I drew closer to her."Tomorrow, when I return from the wolf shifter councilors,"Her eyes closed as I leaned in to kiss her forehead, and they opened as I stood straight."Promise?" she said."With all of my heart."She smiled for a while until it disappeared with worries."I hope they'll allow us to be together.""Me too." My arms were wrapped around her.Dad was standing on the porch, anxiously waiting for me to return."Finally, you're here," he said telepathically as he spotted me.He left the porch and met me in the middle of our land."Why were you taking so long?" He shoved me across the land, sending

Freya"It has been the rule for many years that a human and a wolf shifter can never be together. But today we've been amazed by something we thought never existed again. Visit the werewolf council elders tomorrow evening. Probably they will have no choice but to spare your human mate since your title as the alpha of all alpha is far greater than there's," said the one in silver. And as he walked away, he respectfully gave a nod to both Jurius and his dad.Jurius quickly brought me inside and placed me in the living room. He was soon returning with an ice pack. I watched him as he sat before me and placed the small ice pack on my forehead. Concerned, his eyes never left my forehead.I just kept staring into his face, not knowing whether I should be happy for him that his status as a wolf shifter from being a future alpha of his pack changed immensely to become an alpha of all alphas or whether I should be scared of him. He was more powerful, and the mightiness of his growl terrified m

  • His Forbidden Soulmate   Chapter 40

FreyaI should have driven home, called my mom, and started packing. Instead, I parked my car where no one could find it and walked along the forest to Jurius's home. It was a bad idea what I was doing, but how could I leave without saying goodbye?I spotted a male wolf shifter as I got onto the land, an elder of the pack. He stopped what he was doing to look at me. Nervously, I walked to find Jurius."What are you doing here?" I flinched and became motionless at the loud shout.I knew who it was; it was the alpha, Jurius's father.Like a plant held firmly in the ground, I stood straight as I felt his unwelcome presence go around me, and he towered above me as he stood before me."What-are-you-doing-here-human?" he again asked, sharply repeating his question."I need to see Jurius," I said, terrified of him."He's not here," he growled as one of his hands reached out to grab me."Don't hurt her!" I heard Jurius. The alpha hand was kept away from me, and I watched Jurius as he ran from

FreyaI wanted to turn back around, but my vehicle stopping in front of the driveway somehow allowed her to know I'd arrived.A bad feeling ran through my gut as she exited the door and stood on the porch.Carefully, I drove the car along the driveway, and I took five minutes before leaving the vehicle. If Jurius hadn't been waiting for me in my room, I would have turned the car around and driven away.I know why my mom was here; it was because of what had happened to me.My head lowered, not wanting to see her face as I walked to the house."Hey honey," she stopped me on the first step to the porch, causing my head to be raised. In her eyes, which were as dark as mine, I could see guilt. I know she didn't want to be here and that she was because of Zara and Grandma."Mom," I said in my throat as I went inside.Whatever she was here to say, I wasn't interested or cared to know."Are you doing much better since what happened?" I heard her as I opened the front door.I was so angry at h

FreyaTime flies by so fast when you're spending time with someone you're madly in love with.Jurius and I sat down on the grass, and his arms were wrapped around me while I lay on his chest."I wish we didn't have to leave now," he said, holding me tighter in his arms."Me too," I said softly as my head lifted to his.I smiled and my eyes closed as he kissed my forehead, and as he did, the pain of being separated from him once more arose inside my heart. My head went to my left breast as I now felt one of Jurius's arms resting on my heart, as if he had felt the pain as well, and my gaze steadily went back to him."I hate being away from you as well, he confessed. I wish you could dwell with me along with the pack, so I could always be with you, even when you are asleep.""I wish I was a wolf shifter," I now yearned to be, and then I would always be by his side."Don't say that!" Jurius detested what I had said."I wish nothing else of you, for you are the perfect mate for me," he tol

Freya P.O.VAfter seeing Jurius yesterday, I couldn't wait for the next day to see him again. Before going downstairs, I arranged my long, curly hair. When I walked into the kitchen, Zira and my grandma were both surprised to find that I was going to school."You cannot go to school today," Zira announced, and my grandmother agreed."I'm fine," I said as I began to make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for breakfast. They watched me with concern as I finished making my sandwich. I took a big bite and went into the fridge, pouring myself out a half full of orange juice."Make sure you take your supplements," my grandmother reminded me.I nodded.Three of the supplements were in my pocket. I removed them from my pocket and swallowed them together with the rest of the orange juice and some water."Goodbye; I'll see you later." I was rushing from the kitchen."Freya, wait," Zira stopped me. She gave me an apple and a banana."You can eat these whenever you feel hungry," she said.

FreyaI was awakened in the hospital, and I caught sight of a needle jammed into the front of my elbow. I discovered I was hooked up to a drip. My grandma, who was sitting next to me in the room, noticed I'd gotten up and promptly stood up."I'm going to get the nurse," she said as she stormed out the door.Shortly after, she returned with a nurse.I watched as the nurse connected me to a new bag of drips."Dr. Weather will be here soon," the nurse said to my grandmother before leaving. My grandmother approached me and softly touched my face. And my gaze was drawn to her."Why are you causing yourself harm by dealing with your problems on your own, child?" she asked, concerned. My attention shifted away from her."Can't you see my sister and I are willing enough to help you? Why are you refusing to accept it? She stated."You can't help me," I wailed, removing her hand from my cheek."Please give us a chance," my grandmother begged. It never occurred to me that my actions were having
