Walking back to her car was all Sophia needed to snap back to her senses.

She stood at the front of the driver’s door, obstructing Dante’s way, yet her heart thrummed with the desire for him.

“You can't go in.” Sophia countered, standing in Dante’s way.

A gentle smile tugged at the corner of Dante’s lips and he leaned closer to Sophia, raising a finger to her cheeks.

“Stop.” she countered, holding his hands in the air.

For some seconds and more, the air stilled and Dante felt the sensual surge of ripples across his spine. He glanced at the spot where she held his hand and Sophia loosened her grip on his hand immediately.

Dante glanced back at her face. “Why are you running?” His voice was low, almost tender and Sophia almost melted into it.

“I am not running.” She denied looking away from him and trying to strengthen her quivering resolve.

“You can not run away from me, Princess. You are mine… all mine.” He whispered the last part against her ear and Sophia felt her nipples hard

Dante stood at the corner of his dimly lit office, leaning against the massive oak desk that had belonged to his late father. The air smelled faintly of cigar smoke and leather, the hallmarks of power and control. His bodyguard, Marco, stood at attention in front of him, a silent giant awaiting orders.Dante’s sharp eyes bore into Marco, his tone cold and clipped. “The shipment leaves the warehouse at midnight. You’ll escort it to the docks and oversee the handoff. No mistakes.”Marco nodded, his face impassive. “Understood, boss.”“This isn’t a standard shipment,” Dante continued, stepping closer. “We’re moving twenty two million euros’ worth of untraceable arms. It’s already stirred up interest. If anyone—police, rivals, anyone—tries to interfere, you know what to do. No witnesses. Clear?”“Crystal clear.”Dante studied him for a moment longer, his jaw tight. Satisfied, he dismissed Marco with a flick of his hand. The bodyguard left without another word, his heavy footsteps echoing

Sophia sat at her desk, her pristine white doctor’s coat draped elegantly over her shoulders. The coat’s crisp fabric contrasted with the warm light filtering through the office’s tall windows. Her slender fingers moved deftly across the files before her, flipping through pages of patient reports and neatly organizing the documents into stacks. Her dark hair was tied back into a neat bun, though a few strands had escaped, framing her face as she worked with quiet determination. The soft hum of the hospital outside her office doors was a faint backdrop to her focused silence.Occasionally, Sophia paused, her sharp eyes scanning a particularly troubling chart her brow furrowing as she considered her next steps. She reached for a pen, her movements deliberate, and made quick, precise notes in the margins of the file.Despite the pile of work on her desk, Sophia exuded an air of calm authority. The coat was not just a uniform; it was a symbol of her dedication and the countless lives she

Sophia exhaled, dropping the phone after the call had ended. She cleared her table, pulled her coat, hung it against her chair, and exited her office after getting a hold of her bag.“Doctor Sophia.” The administrative assistant, a tall slender lady in a white skirt tugged into a black pant, stood up immediately. “Are you heading out?”“Yes,” Sophia replied wearing a bright smile. “I have something to attend to at exactly this minute…” Her words trailed with a ground that gave room for further conversation as she glared at her wrist to watch and then back at her administrative assistant. “Is there a problem?” Concerned, her assistant inquired. “No,” Sophia replied almost immediately and flashed her assistant another smile, swallowing the guilt that squashed down her throat. “Cancel whatever appointment I have for today and reschedule tomorrow.” It was a curt order and Sophia didn't wait for her assistant reply before she stormed off, too guilty to wait for whatever reply was goin

Sophia’s throat bulged, his words filling her with something…she snapped at the thoughts reminding herself that she was only here to take the bandage off and not flirt with him, even though her escape from denial was ill. She concluded that Dante was her patient and not her man. “My work here is done.” She replied hurriedly, turning to take her leave but Dante gripped her wrist before she could make it past an inch. Sophia stiffened. Her heart thrummed in rhythm to the pace of her jumping pulse. His touch burned through her skin like scorching fire, filling her inside with warmth. Sophia pulled her hands from his grasp, not facing him. Dante stared at her behind, his eyes moving against her hair which he already envisioned wrapping beautifully against his fist while he pounded her from behind. This lust was… urgh!!! “What do you want?” Sophia asked, struggling to keep her voice within the pitch that hid the desire she desired gravely. Dante moved further, closing the inch betwee

The second the door closed behind her, Dante let out a sharp breath and moved back to the bed. A curse escaped his lips as he ran a hand through his hair. The tension in Dante’s chest was like a storm waiting to erupt. He had spent the past two nights restless, his mind consumed by thoughts of Sophia. Sophia stood at the mirror, staring back at the reflection it gave her. She adjusted her posture, tilting her chin slightly as though the new angle might make her feel more confident. The faint bags under her eyes, a testament to her sleepless nights, were barely hidden under the light layer of foundation she had hastily applied. Her fingers brushed over the neckline of her dress—a simple yet elegant black piece that clung to her in all the right places. She exhaled deeply.Since leaving Dante’s house, she’d thrown herself into work, hoping to exhaust every ounce of energy so Saturday would feel like an impossibility. She had thrown herself into long shifts at the hospital, thinking if she stayed busy enough, Saturday would never come. But time, like an unruly thief, stole the days and brought the night quicker than she could have prepared for. She let out a soft laugh at the irony of her own thoughts, shaking her head at the woman in the mirror. “Why are you like this?” she whispered

The dungeon was cold, dark, and smelled of blood. Water dripped from the ceiling, making a soft, hollow sound. The walls were thick stone, and the only light came from a single bulb hanging from the ceiling, swinging slightly. In the center of the room, tied to a metal chair, was the man who had stolen from Dante’s vault. His face was bruised, dried blood crusting on his lips. His hands were tied behind his back, and his ankles were strapped to the chair legs. He had been here for hours, waiting for his fate.Dante entered the room slowly, his footsteps echoing. His dark eyes were cold, his face hard. He wore a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up, showing the veins in his arms. He was angry—no, he was furious. But it was not just because of the theft. It was because of Sophia. She had been ignoring him. She had pushed him away, refused to see him, refused to answer his calls.
