After Juliana left, he had tried to convince Alicia to return with him to his pack.

“Seeing you have no place to call home, you should come with me. Together, we will build a pack of your choice,” he said to her.

“Sounds enticing, but no,” she said.

“Why?,” he asked, surprised. He must have thought she would grab that ‘opportunity’ with both hands.

“I will come back for you,” he said to her, as he departed.

Frederick’s heart was pounding as he stormed through the pack’s territory, his mind consumed with anger and frustration. He had lost Emily, the love of his life, and he knew exactly who was to blame.
