By the blissful breeze of the morning dew, the melody of the birds could be heard at the well-kept garden of the Dencio household. Although, as much as the peaceful morning brought calmness to those who witness it, the household itself was not as peaceful as it is outside it’s cement walls.
“I am a very busy man, as you two may have already noticed, what do you two want?” Christian’s stern voice rang from the echoing walls of the grand living room of his villa, the exquisite furniture adoring the golden themed decors of the indoors. The area so big that it could fit more than a hundred people and still have the space to move around.
But today’s agenda isn’t as r

“Father, shouldn’t you be thinking about this rationally? We don’t know what kind of person he has grown to be. He might even be the cause of the potential downfall of our company! I’m here, I can help our company strive, our family is already happy as it is, we don’t need anyone ruining that. Please, think about it.” Christian spoke up, in an attempt to somehow convince his father otherwise but the man shook his head. “Christian, let me tell you the story of the Emperor and His Harem.” John Van spoke, his eyes growing serious as he continued. “And then, you will understand me.”
It was a pindrop silence when John Van stood firmly and took his leave, his elegant posture despite his old age was evident of what he can do as well as the identity which he upholds. As the door eventually shuts with a thump, Merry Anne lightly clicked her tongue in dismay before facing her son. “You just had to bring it up of all times, didn’t you?!” She howled in anger towards her son, the fear of being seen was not significant as the only ones in the study are currently the both of them. Christian could only advert his gaze bitterly, although this was supposedly only ‘a simple matter’ he never expected that it will explode into something more d
As the silence continues to rage on, the cool breeze of the afternoon brushed against her tender moist skin as though they were passing through silk in the making. Crystal adverted her gaze before clearing her throat for a brief moment. Christian, having been staring at the woman for quite some time now, perked at the abrupt sound and straightened his own position. “Sorry, what do you want to order? My treat.” In a slightly nervous way, he lifted his hand and motioned for the waitress to give them a copy of the menu. The woman who was leaning by the wall near the elevator gave a curt nod before approaching them with two 2-fold menus, each placed on both sides of the table for both Crystal and Christian. Knowing the identities
It wasn’t long until the somewhat uncomfortable meal ended, Christian took the initiative to drop her off back at the VGC main building, just where he first picked her up just an hour ago. The breeze of the afternoon soon ceased, and maple-colored leaves of the well-maintained flora in the streets grazed upon her silk white skin before eventually slipping off to the cracked cement below. She didn’t wait for the response of anybody, she simply entered the building without further ado. Christian on the other hand, sped away almost immediately after she was dropped off at the aforementioned building.
The day was vast and slightly uneventful for Crystal. The elimination of both Lylia and Mylene were announced and none of the girls were surprised. In all honesty, everything was going in accordance to their plans. It was a relatively sunny day, it seems. Clouds have cleared since morning and the hot beams of the sun seeped through the leaves of the trees. Although it was scorching, it was not enough to burn someone’s flesh from the streets. The announcement came in during breakfast. Of course, only the maid was there to entertain the girls. The family’s head, the madame and Antony is absent. Nowa
The same, bitter smile was still in Angelica’s expression, her eyes slightly downcast. For some reason, something gives her the nudging sensation that a lie was being made. But she chose to trust the woman’s words from across her. She knew that her brother wasn’t just a simple man. He was intelligent, mysterious, evaluative, and keen. If something were to go wrong, or if the woman held intentions that could obviously harm him, he will know immediately. And if he does notice that, he will have no mercy as to get rid of them as soon as he could. She knows it all too well. He was not ruthless; however, he has no choice but to use violence if he has to.
“I…” “You…?” Angelica lowly urged; her brow raised in question as to what the woman across from her wants to say. Crystal was stuck in a short dilemma inside her head, whether to speak her heart out on something she needs to know or—if it would be a bad idea. Angelica trusts her already, and that trust took quite the time and effort in order to gain. It might be a good enough reason to tell her something that has been bothering Crystal for so long already, right? But then, wouldn’t it sound too sudd
Crystal didn’t bother to find out what happened to Clarise and the rest anymore, she merely quickly made her way up to her room without uttering another word after Antony left. There were so many thoughts circling in her mind that she didn’t know what to feel anymore; should she be happy that Clarise will probably never dare offend her ever again? Should she be sad because the family might be implicated with this matter? Should she be guilty for having the thoughts of deceiving Antony till the end? Should she be cautious since those two men in black will probably be around her 24/7? Maybe, she should be surprised and relieved that her knight in black suit and tie was there to defend her from Clarise’s temper. But this is
