Chapter 6

Marriage Agreement

Natasha was forced to marry Liam, and Liam was also forced to grant his grandfather's wishes.

The two of them have no choice but to marry each other even though it's against their will.

Para kay Natasha, nalulungkot siya dahil matatali niya si Liam sa kanya kahit alam na alam niyang kahit kailan ay hindi siya nito magugustuhan. Nasasaktan siya sa kaalaman na sumusunod lang ito sa hiling ng Abuelo nito. But on the other part of her heart, she feels happy that Liam is finally hers. Her heart is hoping that one day Liam will accept her and love her even if it's impossible. Pero hangga't nasa kanya si Liam ay aasa siya na mamahalin rin siya nito.

Para kay Liam naman ay puro poot at galit ang umiiral sa kanyang puso. He was very angry about his situation. He is angry with Natasha for easily accepting the arranged marriage that his grandfather arranged.

Kahit alam naman niyang ginagawa lang nito ang gusto ng kanyang Abuelo but still... he is very angry at her.

Matalim ang tingin ni Liam habang nakatingin kay Natasha sa mga oras na iyon.

Nasa isang pribado at mamahaling restaurant sila sa umagang iyon. He called her over there to discuss something important for her. To make their conversation private, he booked a VIP private room for just the two of them

Liam stared at her and the sheet of paper she was reading. He observed her blinking eyes while reading the marriage agreement he prepared.

Natasha read the agreement very carefully. Bahagyang nangungunot ang noo niya.

"We will live as normal married couples. I know, you will not reject if your husband will be intimate with you... Ano pa ang silbi mo kung hindi mo magagampanan ang pagiging-asawa mo, kahit pa sa papel lang 'yon." Liam said without any hesitation. He is not minding if she will get hurt by those words.

"I... I understand," Natasha's only response and she continued reading.

"We will end this after 2 years. Don't worry, I will give you money to start with your new life."

Napalunok ng mariin si Natasha sa sinabi nito. Saka siya bumuntong hininga. "What if I get pregnant?" lakas loob niyang tanong rito.

"You are dreaming, Natasha. Who told you I will make you carry my child? Of course, you will never get pregnant. You should take contraceptives to prevent pregnancy."

Biglang naikuyom ni Natasha ang kanyang kamao sa narinig mula rito. Nasasaktan siya na para bang piniga ang puso niya sa sinabi nitong iyon.

Lumunok siya ng sunod-sunod at tumango rito. "Alright. Good. It's also for my own good because what if I marry the right person for me... at least I have no extra baggage with me." Natasha retorted. She wants to strike back para naman hindi siya kaawa-awa sa mga oras na iyon.

Liam mockingly smirks. He did not think Natasha would retort.

"You should never question me anything. Related to work or any of my affairs. You are  not allowed to ask especially... my time and my whereabouts."

Tumango si Natasha. Iyon rin ang nabasa niya. "I understand. Just let me work to find myself busy."

"No problem. Um, about finding work, well, I will recommend you to the best fashion business—"

"No need." Putol agad ni Natasha sa susunod na sasabihin pa nito. She looked straight through his eyes. "I don't want you to bother yourself. I can find work for myself."

'Trying to be stubborn, huh!' Liam thought to himself.

"As you wish," he said.

Tumango si Natasha habang nakatitig sa mga mata ni Liam. For her observation of his behavior... Liam is very far from the Liam she knew. Ang kilala niyang Liam noon ay isang maalalahanin at mabait sa kanya. Ang Liam na kaharap niya ngayon ay tuluyan nang nabago ng panahon. Well, maybe it's her fault dahil kung hindi sana niya inamin na may pagtingin siya rito noong kinse anyos pa lang siya... maybe Liam will never treat her like that like a cold man.

"There is someone special to me," He said.

Natasha gulped and nodded as her heart skipped a beat. "I know. Is it Arian, right? Well, I will not interfere if you two are still t-together."

"Good."

Natasha's heart sank. Wala man lang pagaalinlangan ang pagtugon nito sa sinabi niya.

"And the last agreement... Alright, I will sign the divorce papers once the 2 years are over, without any hesitation."

"Very good then..."

"Is that all?"

Liam nodded.

Natasha reached for the pen and sighed immediately.

"When will we get married?" lakas tanong na naman niya rito.

"Today."

"H-huh?" Natasha was taken aback instantly.

"A church wedding is not going to happen. I don't like it."

'Of course, you don't like it because it was me...' Natasha thought while her heart was aching in pain.

"I understand."

"Come on and follow me to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get our marriage license, now!"
