"She won't stop shaking." Pheuk whispered to Mike and Win. They were in Adom's living room, Prea and Adom sitting on the bed beside Alexandra sleeping form. From the couch they could see Alexandra as she slept. Her body trembling and she kept moving from side to side.
"Is she having a nightmare?" Mike asked. Pheuk shrugged sadly. Win couldn't take his eyes off her, but he also couldn't go near her. Prea walked out the room and closed the door quietly behind her, blocking their only view of Alexandra.
"Adom has been trying to get reached to the doctor so he can call him here his, but-" she shook her head. That's all they needed to know to understand what she meant.
"We have to get him back to main base." Win muttered. "Nora and Dean deserve to know." He never broke contact with the door, until he heard a chocked sob. Prea. He pulled her down next to him on the couch and hugged her.
"Why?
Flashback:-"Yanyan! Stop!" Ashly giggled. They were having a tickle war. Yanyan was above her, the couch too small and uncomfortable, but neither cared. He stopped but didn't move from his position on top of Ashly. Ashly loved his eyes, soft and red. She wanted to kiss him. They've never kissed. Yanyan always said he was waiting for the special moment. They have been dating for almost three weeks and he still didn't think it was appropriate to. Ashly leaned in. Yanyan jerked back and sat on the couch, pulling Ashly along with him. Hurt and confused Ashly was about to ask him what was wrong when Yanyan spoke first."I want to meet your brothers." Ashly beamed at him, forgetting what had just happened. After their fight three days before, Yanyan called and apologized. Ashly never brought up the topic again, even though he wanted to."Really?!" She asked excitedly. "You're seri
Flashback continue:-Friday rolled around fast. Prea and Ashly walked down the streets of city together. She was wearing a tight black dress, with long black boots that went up above her knees, and a scarlet red coat. Alexandra simply wore her black jeans, and black sweater that Prea had tried so hard to make her change out of.Ashly rang the doorbell to Yanyan apartment. It opened a few seconds later. Yanyan was wearing a nice white button shirt and black jeans. His hair was up in a quiff and he had some flour on his face."Oh my god!" Prea shrieked, scaring the daylights out of Ashly and Yanyan. "You are so hot!!" Yanyan grinned and winked. They introduced each other."Come on in." Prea walked over to the couch and sprawled out on it. Ashly walked to yanyan and kissed her cheek."Why is there flour on your face?" She chuckle
•••Flashback continue:-"Ashly!" Man yelled. Ashly stopped at the bottom of the stairs like a deer in the headlights. Man ran down and stood beside her. "Where are you going in such a hurry?!" Ashly flinched. Man was always so loud."Oh you know." Ashly tried to be casual. "Just walked around." Man raised his eyebrows in a questioning way."You've been 'walking around' a lot lately." He accused."What is it a crime??" Ashly joked. "I just like walking. Gives me time to think.""Well, could I walk with you?" Man asked. Ashly really wanted to say no. After all, she wasn't really planning on just going for a walk. She was to meet up with Yanyan at his apartment 30 minutes ago, but he had overslept. Yanyan was always so impatient, and since a week ago after he met Prea, he has been acting weird and he often gets annoyed and they fight
Flashback continue:-Ashly opened the door to Yanyan house. It was unlocked and he didn't open when Ashly had rang the doorbell. So she thought she'd let herself in. The place was awfully quiet. No TV on. No lights on. Everything was eerily silent and dark. The only light came from the afternoon light outside."Yan-" Ashly cut herself off with a gasp. She was pushed against the door, her officers instincts told her to fight back, but she stopped when she saw Yanyan face."I told you to hurry." He whispered so quietly. Ashly was shocked at how angry he looked and sounded. Yanyan once beautiful red eyes, looked dark with rage."I'm sorry. My brother just wanted to spend some time toge-" yanyan grabbed Ashly by her sweater and pulled her back only to push her forward again, harder against the door, causing Ashly to groan in pain. She kept screaming at herself to fight
Present Time:-Alexandra woke up with a gasp. She sat up and looked around, she was in her room. Not her room at her parents place. The room he was provided with at the Gard. Win was beside her on a chair, Prea knelt on the bed on her right, and both Prea parents were at the end of the bed, Nora sitting and Dean standing behind her. Everyone looked scared, worried, and relieved."What's going on?" She asked. Dean looked startled."Don't you remember?" He asked. "You were taken by Alexander." When the memories flooded back in her mind, Alexandra backed away against the wall, hugging her legs."Alexandra, baby what's wrong?" Nora asked. Tears shining in her eyes."Can I be alone?" She breathed out. Her family shared weary looks."I'm sorry, my girl. I don't think that would be wise." Dean spoke for them all."Can you tell us what happened?" Alexandra shook her h
Two days later and Alexandra had finally grown the courage to get out her room. The hight authority had wanted to interrogate them all - though she was more interested in Alexandra - about the events that took place in Alexander place. She was a nicer head than the last ones, but her priority was still her position and the authority race. Defeating Alexander is top priority.Alexandra constantly wondered why Adom hadn't visited her. Win and Prea were constantly in her room, sometimes joined by Mike and Pheuk. All four of them would try to keep her busy, but nothing ever worked. Not even Pheuk Dungeons and Dragons game. Which was very interesting- not that Alexandra would admit to it out loud. Even two head of High authority are stopped by. Alexandra wanted to ask why Adom hadn't showed up, but she didn't want to sound eager for the anyone attention, especially Adom. Today though, her question was answered. She had managed to sneak out of her room and was walking
When they left, Alexandra sneaked out the Gard and ran to the other side, luckily she wasn't caught by any of her friends. She really want to get out from here. When she enter in the main hall her eyes becomes wide. Beacuse their was proving challenging to not be caught. There were gurds everywhere. The place was full, Alexandra thought it was weird. She didn't care, so she simply ignored the raised eyebrows she received and looked for a familiar Adom . After what felt like hours Alexnadra was about to give up when she heard Leo call her name."Alexandra!" The man stood beside her and beckoned her to a more private area. Having heard the younger girl didn't want to be touched - Leo made the connections - and tried not to overstep any boundaries."Hurry! If I get caught sneaking you in, they will cut my head off. Literally.""Why are you helping me?" Alexandra asked quietly. Leo was leading h
"Adom?" She hesitated before moving another step forward. There was no light on in the room, and she really didn't want to trip over anything."Alexandra??" Came the beautiful voice of her ex-boyfriend. A lamp was suddenly turned on. "What are you doing here?""I.. Um- I just." Adom smiled softly. Alexandra was always so nervous around him and he loved it. "I- I wanted to make sure you were okay.""I'm fine." Adom chuckled. "What made you think I would be hurt?""I heard Seth say you were sick. Then he said you were only pretending... I had to make sure." Now that he thought of it. Alexandra really didn't know why she was here. Sure she wanted to see Adom, but she doubted Adom wanted to see her. "I heard what you did...""And what is that?" Adom asked."You tired yourself. You fainted trying to help me." She said. "Why would you do that?"
Pheuk& WinI know it's not real. It all feels too good to be true. I look up into his eyes and I know he can't see past the way. He has a smile on his face, so big and without a worry. How should I tell him? That this isn't real and he needs to open his eyes and remember what happened. That we were in Adom's apartment and then we just appeared here. In this perfect life were everyone is happy and the people we loved and were close to us who we lost are alive. No authority, no underworld, no Don, no Alexander, no pain and misery, just a family and a life that could never and will never be. But how do I tell him? That Mike- his best friend- is a solider and not a civilian being. That he is a solider, born to defend the civilian against everything bad. That the man standing beside his grandmothermother- the one he called grandpa- is actually the man he hates the most in his life. Or that the boy with brown hair and thick gla
Prea& MikeI woke up feeling raindrops fall on my face. My head hurt and I opened my eyes to see that indeed there were raindrops falling right on me. Above me I could see the dark cloudy sky of ciry. I sat up straight and looked around me to find I was laying in the middle of the street but there were no cars or any people around, it was completely quiet. I could see something in the distance and I squint my eyes to get a better view. It was a figure, sprawled on the ground, it was a boy, brown hair an- "Mike!" I screamed and bolted up on my feet to run to his side. By the time I kneeled down beside him he was already opening his eyes and adjusting them to the blinding street lamp."Prea?" He asked, looking straight into my eyes. His eyes widened in realisation and he sat up so fast I had to move back to avoid him crashing into me. "What happened?! How did we get here?? And the others?!"He glanced around and frowned. "Are
Alexandra awoke in a forest. There was fog everywhere and she could hardly see the pines and trees let alone her feet where also hard to see. She looked around, trying hard to find Adom and her family. Instead she heard a loud roar, followed by another, and another. Then the pounding of feet and the birds shrieked."Win! Prea!!" Her heart was beating fast and her lungs felt like they were being compressed together making it hard to breath. "Adom! Adom where are you?!!" The noise got louder Alexandra could hardly hear herself scream. Then she saw a coated man walking in her direction. "Adom!! Over here!" But after she said that she noticed the figure had red hair. She couldn't see his face due to his coat covering it but she didn't need to see to know who it was. That's when Alexandra turned around and took off in a run.~~~~~~~~~~
It was 3 am and Alexandra has barely finished telling Prea, Mike, and Adom the same story she had told Win about her past. It would make everything easier to explain if they knew. They were in Adom's apartment and Mike and Pheuk had decided to stay and leave for the ceremony the next day with them."I'm glad you finally told them Alexandra." Prea smiled softly, her eyes red and teary. "But why now? You haven't told us what happened to mom yet and I know you know." Alexandra sighed and closed her eyes before continuing her explanation."Turns out the back blood in me is not gone. It's been inactive you could say. If I have one more dose of that blood, I don't know what would happen.""But that's not gonna happen." Mike- said. "Why would anyone want to continue what that guy did to you?""And how do you even know the blood is still in you?" Prea gasped. "I- is that how mom-? Did you..?"
Adom wrapped his hand around Alexandra. Their fingers interlocked and at first, Alexandra hand was limp until Adom gave her a reassuring squeeze and Alexandra tightened her grip. The headquarter was full of soldiers and authority members- including Dean.Alexnadea hasn't spoken a word since it happened. When Win and Prea had entered the living room, Yanyan was gone. It was Win who called for Adom. A simple message later, Adom walked through a door followed by his father Dean and Samnatha. He hasn't left Alexandra side since then."Alexandra." Alexandra didn't move. They were outside, Win had to physically take Alexandra away from Nora and drag her outside along with Prea who was on the stairs crying her eyes out. Beside her was Pheuk and Mike- Mike parents had arrived soon after Win called them. "If you don't tell me what happened, we won't be able to find whoever was responsible for this.""You won't find
Win left to his date with Pheuk after that. Alexandra had to drag him all the way to the door for him to leave, reassuring her friend that she will be fine and that she would help Nora sort some papers in the library. It was 5 minutes past midnight. Alexandra was in her room when she heard Nora calling for her. It was rare since Alexandra had thought Nora was asleep and she was calling for her from downstairs. Despite that he walked to the living room, knowing that was were she would most likely be at.And sure enough, there she was. A hand on her throat and her face bloody. The same boy from Alexander stood in the middle of the living room holding Nora by the throat. He had the same red gear on with the hood up.Nora stared at Alexander wide eyed, confused to what was going on but also seemed weak and unable to move."Alexandra- go, run." She shook her head incredulously at her.
"Back when I was 15, I always seeked out- I would go out all the time for long hours." Win nodded, surprised that Alexandra was even telling him. "My brothers thought I was having some fun. I wasn't, I was dating someone. He- was nice at first, but after he met Prea he was abusive. I never did anything, couldn't use my weapons because he was a civilian- I thought he was a civilian. After a while, one night-""One night we disappeared. Me and Prea." Win nodded."He locked us up in the basement. He had these eyes, they were all black. I don't remember much of what happened then, Prea would know, but I never asked her. All I remember was this agonizing pain. He injected balcl blood in me. After a while I would black out, and when I came back, he was on the ground, twisting in pain and a pile of blood around him. Prea would stare at me with fear in her eyes. And the next thing I remember was hearing loud howls and I knew i
Words can't describe what Adom felt when he left Alexandra behind. He had to ignore every inch of himself telling him to stay beside Alexandra, to fight for her. But he didn't. He doesn't know why he didn't. He trusts Alexandra, he believes in her. Alexandra felt like that was the right thing to do, even though Adom believed there could be another way - that there had to be another way. But there wasn't another way. Alexander had an army who would've barged in the room the second he called for them, he had an unusually powerful boy on his side, and he wouldn't have stopped. And in the end, Alexandra did it. He came back to her. When Alexandra woke up, it had been three days after. Adom- who was by her side every second of the day- had been so excited and relieved. The day after that, Alexandra spoke to Samnatha and everyone else how she managed to get back to city. And then they all left back to town with Samantha's promise to keep a look out for the mysterious powe
Whoever the boy in the red gear was, he was powerful enough to take Alexandra all the way back to headquarter. She had wanted to confront him but when Alexandra was bent on his knees gasping for breath he looked up in panic only to realise the boy was gone. The worst part of it all was that Alexandra had been dropped off in Forest, with short breaths and seeming about ready to collapse in exhaustion. Alexandra didn't know what was causing her such a headache but she bet it was due to the teleportation. That must be something.Alexandra had to walk all the way back to her home. It took her several hours but by the time she arrived, all the roads were empty and the only light she spotted came from the Gard. Shw contemplated whether to go there or someplace else. Hee family was most likely at the Gard along with everyone else or maybe they were in the part of the Gard they had taken residence in. Despite it all she will have to go there, may
