Arden loved the playfulness of Aurora throwing the pillow at him. He caught it easily of course. His reflexes were wolf-like. Something stirred inside of him. The mate pull was beckoning him to move in closer. Arden set his wine glass down on the small coffee table to the side of the couch. Aurora must have sensed the change in atmosphere.
"She feels something," Thor said. The barrier must be down for the moment. Arden slid across the couch. His knee almost touched hers. Aurora breathing increased as Arden moved closer to her. She did not understand what was going on, but the other thing she wanted at that moment was for Arden to kiss her.
She wasn’t sure what to do. It had been such a long time since she had been intimate with anyone. Arden moved even closer, and Aurora felt herself move closer as well. Her body didn’t seem to be her own and all logical thought had left the building.Arden's hand gently came to rest at the nap of her neck. Aurora's breathing caught in her throat. What was that sensation he was giving off. It was almost the feeling of rubbing your feet against a carpet. It tickled the back of her neck.
"Aurora, may I kiss you?" Arden asked, his breath almost against her lips.
"Yes," Aurora hadn’t noticed that she breathed the word more than actually said it. Suddenly Arden's lips consumed her own. He was gentle yet subtlety demanding. Aurora felt herself grow aroused at the thought. His tongue rubbed against her bottom lip asking for an invitation. Aurora opened her lips and allowed him entry. It seemed that Arden was adamant about tasting every inch of her. The notion had Aurora feeling like putty in his hands.
Arden's other hand rested on Aurora's shoulder. He did not want to push the boundaries by letting his hands roam over her body, although it was all he wanted to do. She tasted as sweet as she smelled. Arden shifted so that he raised himself a little higher over her. He wanted to deep the kiss and weaken her knees.
Aurora finally moans as she did when she ate the pizza earlier. The sound was his undoing. Arden without breaking their kiss, had Aurora lifted in the air and seating on him in one swift movement. Aurora gasped when she felt his bulge underneath her.As if her body had a mind of its own, it began to move against Arden's bulge in his jeans. The sensation was magnificent. It shot sensations through her body that had her moaning evening more. Arden let out a low growl as well which at Aurora moving her body even faster.
Arden suddenly broke the kiss and put either hand on Aurora's shoulders, slowing her movements. Arden could not believe what he was about to do. Thor growled at him in the back of his mind. "I'm sorry, but if we continue, I am not going to be able to hold back." Arden breathed against Aurora's cheek.
She was not naive enough not to know what Arden meant. Aurora sat for a moment and caught her breath. She liked the feeling of sitting in his lap. Being close to him. The sensation that his hand had caused still was there only more subdued.Aurora finally slid from his body and sat on the other end of the couch. "I appreciate that, Arden. I really do. I think it is time for me to head home." Arden let his head rest on the back of the couch. He slowly nodded his head before pushing himself off the couch and held his hand out to Aurora. She took it and Arden helped her to stand.
Aurora gathered her things and followed as Arden led the way back down the stairs and to the back door once more. Instead of staying at the back door though, Arden made sure to walk Aurora all the way to her car. Aurora unlocked the door and opened it her hand rest on the door as she turned around back to Arden. "Thank you for dinner. It was delicious again." She smiled shyly. Arden leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. The sensation returned for a moment and then left as his lips left her cheek.
"You are always welcome." Arden said. "Have a goodnight, Aurora and drive safe." Aurora nodded and then slipped into the driver seat of her car. She turned the engine over and headed in the direction of home. Throughout the entire drive, Aurora kept replaying their kiss on the couch. Things had gotten very heated very quickly. She had not even tried to stop him.
What would happen the next time? Aurora could feel her walls that she had place beginning to crack. She had been completely honest with Arden, and not once has he held anything she has told him against her. What if he was different from others. Aurora did not realize how right she was.
Arden watched as Aurora drive out of the parking lot. Thor was pacing in his mind. He was still riled up from their make out session on the couch.
"Would you calm down?" Arden asked with a chuckle.
"She would have laid with us." Thor said. He could not believe that Arden had stopped them. "She is not a fainting virgin she knows that she is doing." Thor continued.
"And then what? Tomorrow she would come to regret it because it is only our second date?" Arden asked Thor. Thor only growled in response.
"If she were a wolf we would already be mated and marked." Thor finally grumbled to himself.
"But she is not. We need to be more delicate with the situation." Thor finally took a deep breath and let it out. He knew Arden was right and he did not want to scare away their mate either.
"Sorry. It has just been some time and we have finally found our mate." Arden agreed as he walked back into the bar and up to his apartment.
Aurora lay awake for some time in her bed. She had arrived home with enough time to get Eli to bed and bid her mother goodnight. Aurora had decided to take a quick shower before getting into bed. The shower was on the colder side. She could not stop herself from replaying the evening events in her mind. Her body had never felt that way before. Even when she had been close to others when she was younger. The sensation was completely new and foreign to her. Aurora was finally able to drift into a restless sleep that night. But rather than dream about a certain bar owner, she dreamt that she was in a dense forest. The trees were so packed together that barely any light was visible from the sun above. Aurora wandered around the forest for a short time until she heard a twig snap behind her. She whirled around in time to catch a glimpse of a furry animal darting out of view once more. The fur was as black as the as the forest around it that helped to shield it from her view. Aurora cont
"Hello Mr., Arden." Eli held his hand out to Arden. Arden chuckled as he was surprised by the action. He took the child's hand in his own and shook it. "Pleasure to meet you, Elijah." Arden said. "Since you’re a friend of momma's you can call me Eli." Eli said as he dropped his hand. He turned to Aurora and asked. "Can Arden come with us to get caramel apples?" Aurora nodded her head slightly and Eli grabbed Arden's hand once more and began to pull him towards the booths. "You are going to love them. The apples are good, and the caramel is warm." Arden smiled at Aurora as Eli pulled him through the crowd. Aurora walked with Faith a few feet behind the boys. Making sure to keep an eye on them not to lose Eli in the crowd. Not that she thought Arden would let her son get lost. Eli did not stop until he arrived at the booth with the caramel apples. He walked right up to the table and ordered two apples. Eli looked up at Arden who chuckled and pulled out his wallet. Aurora quickly s
"Hello, my love." Alpha Mason Vulfs said from the doorway. His wife, Luna Lila Vulfs, sat at her large wooden desk. When they had married Mason would have given her the world. Lila had asked for the Alpha office and Mason of course would deny her nothing. "Good morning. Have you heard from Arden?" Lila asked Mason. She had not looked up from the paper that she had been reading. "I have not, my dear." Mason said as he walked into the room. Mason and Lila had met a few short years ago and Lila had immediately captured his heart. He had not thought it possible after the death of his first Luna, Arden's mother Charlotte. However, one day when Mason had been looking over some business buildings in a nearby human town, he found Lila who was a struggling waitress. They immediately hit it off. Lila had not asked anything of Mason, but Mason had decided that he wanted her by his side and to help rule his pack until he passed the title to his son, Arden.Unfortunately, Lila's wolf was dorman
Aurora wasn’t sure why she was nervous for Arden to see where she lived. Were they moving along too fast? They had only been on two dates so far and now he was coming over to carve pumpkins for Halloween. Aurora hoped that Arden did not feel obligated to come over since Eli had asked. She told herself that she would make sure to ask Arden when they were alone. Aurora pulled up to her house and Eli jumped out excitedly. He stood in the yard and waited for Arden to pull up to the front sidewalk before rushing over to him. Arden chuckled as he got out and rounded his car. "Come on Eli. Let's help your mom first. Once we get your pumpkins inside, I will come back out for mine." Eli nodded and walked next to Arden as they crossed the yard and made their way over to Aurora. "Thank you." Aurora said quietly as Arden picked up both pumpkins with ease. Faith chuckled as she followed everyone to the door. Aurora quickly jumped in front and unlocked the door. "E, can you turn on the lights ple
Aurora and Arden sat in the kitchen and talked while they ate and carved their own pumpkins. Aurora had decided to try and free hand a spider while Arden attempted a silhoett of a wolf. "That is lofty," Aurora said. She was not particularly artistic, but she could envision it. However, she would not attempt a wolf. Arden turned a cocky smile in her direction. "A little faith," he said. Aurora chuckled and shook her head. Some time later, they finished their pumpkins and headed toward the living room. Eli's face lit up when he saw them walk through the doorway. "Finally!" He exclaimed as he jumped off the couch and ran towards his mother and Arden. Aurora chuckled and continued to the door. She opened it and held it open for Arden and Eli to follow. Once outside, they sat the pumpkins down. Aurora had to run back inside in order to grab a few candles. Faith stood up from the couch, and Aurora smiled at her. "I am glad to see you and Eli happy," she said. Aurora thanked her mother f
Thor and Arden both growled at the same time. Aurora sat on Arden's lap and rocked her hips back and forth. Neither were new to sex and all that it entails. However, this time would be different for both. They were mates. Arden knew that Aurora was feeling the mate pull and Arden was not strong enough to pull himself from her either. Aurora continued to kiss but soon became agitated. There were too many layers of clothes between them. Aurora sat back long enough to rip her shirt over her head. She tossed it to the corner of her room. She grabbed Arden's shirt as well. She said nothing as she pulled it from him. Her eyes widened at his physique once more. The man had been chiseled after a Greek god. Aurora threw his shirt in the same direction as her own. Aurora sought out Arden’s lips once more. Her hands came to rest on his shoulders as Arden wrapped an arm around her waist. He lifted her so that he could turn and lay her down on the mattress. Arden's lips left Aurora's and began t
After breakfast, Arden said his goodbyes. Sundays were very busy for him and making sure that everything was in line for the following week at his bar. Arden looked as though it was the last thing he wanted to do. Aurora followed Arden out onto the front porch and said goodbye. Arden quickly looked out of the window. When he did not see Eli sticking his head out, Arden quickly stole a kiss from Aurora. Aurora chuckled as Arden ran from the porch. He threw her once last smile before disappearing into the driver seat of his car. Aurora walked back into the house and slowly closed the door behind her. Her mind on the man that had just left. When she looked up, Eli had a large grin spread across his face. "What?" Aurora asked. Eli began to laugh and jump on the couch. "Momma has a crush," Eli chanted as he jumped from one couch cushion to the other. Aurora at first tried to quiet him, when Eli didn’t seem like relenting she threw her hands up and laughed as well. "I am going to take
As the day went on, Aurora became more and more uneasy about her fast-tracked relationship with Arden. She began to second guess all her decisions. It was not rational that she should feel as though she was ready to give up anything, apart from her son, to be with Arden. The feeling scared her to no end. Arden had sent a couple of text messages during the day. He apologized that he was going to be busy with work for a little while. Aurora had not responded though. She felt she needed some space to think clearly. If there was one thing that she was certain of it was that she could not think clearly when that man was around her. The second text that came through was a few hours later as Aurora was finishing up her and Eli's laundry for the week. Aurora picked up her phone and read the message. "Think of you", was all it said. Again, Aurora sat the phone down. She had such a strong urge to snatch it back up and write back to him. So much so that Aurora left the cell phone on the bed as
