"Why have you brought me here?" Aurora asked the young girl. Names were never given during their meeting with the other witches of the Whispering Shadows Coven. "I want to help you," the girl said as she took a few more steps forward. Why would this witch want to help Aurora? She did not even know her apart from their meeting the other day. "Why?" Aurora asked. "You have a son?" the girl finally asked. Aurora slowly nodded her head. She had told the coven this and wa unsure why that played a factor. She did not come from the mythical world but from what she has scene of witches, they are not the kind that would be selfless to just help anyone. "And you would do anything for him?" The girl questioned Aurora again. "Of course I will," Aurora answered without hesitation. The young girl nodded as if she had already known the answer. A small smile spread across her face. "I am sorry that no one explained this to you when were all in the meeting, but do you happen to know what mak
Aurora and Arden stood on the porch of the pack house. Alpha Evander and his protection drove down the road from the main gates. Aurora's hand was firmly placed in Arden's as they both waited. It did not take long for the black SUVs to pull into the drive and park. Alpha Evander's Beta was the first to exit the car followed by the driver. The Beta opened the back door of the SUV and Alpha Evander slid out wearing a dark black suit. He walked over to the stairs and looked up at the Alpha and Luna. He inclined his head," Shall we?" Alpha Arden held out his hand towards the door of the pack house and Alpha Evander began to ascend the stairs. Alpha Arden directed him to a office that he presumed was the Alpha office. It was spacious enough but was still smaller than his meeting room. Alpha Evander wondered what this meeting entailed and why they decided to have it at in the Northern Pack. When everyone, including the Beta's were seated. Alpha Arden began to speak, "Thank you for c
Alpha Evander sat in his large office chair and looked down at some paperwork that he had been handed once we were back from the Northern Pack. He was just about to mind link with his Beta when a noise in front of him alerted him that he was no longer alone in the office. Alpha Evander pulled the pulled the sheet of paper down just enough to see Veronica seated in the chair across from him. She looked at her nails at a distance as if being there was no concern to her. "What are you doing here?" Evander asked coolly. It was obvious she was not there for a tryst. She finally looked over and met his gaze. "My dear Alpha do you not think that I do not have tabs on you when I am not with you?" She asked sweetly but the look in her eyes told Evander she was being anything but sweet at the moment. Alpha Evander's brows creased. He did not like the idea that his actions were being monitored without him knowing. "And why, pray tell, would you need to monitor my movements?" Alpha Evander too
Veronica paced her large living room in front of the fireplace. Alpha Evander had confirmed that the child was in fact the reason for Alpha Arden and Luna Aurora's interest in the Crimson Pack and the Whispering Shadows Coven. It would not be long before they found out her name. Were they going to be able to see the connection of Alpha Evander? How could they? Her inner thoughts were questioning. They were never present when Veronica was and Alpha Evander and her had their relationship longer than Arden came back to take over the pack. She wondered what had become of his father. Veronica knew where Lila was but not what became of Mason Vulfs. Veronica stopped pacing. She would visit Lila and see what other information she could get from the woman. With that thought in mind she teleported to the dense forest that housed Lila's lone cabin. Veronica looked around to make sure that no one from the coven was prowling around. Lila was terribly close to their territory line. Veronica was
As Lila sat in the warm bath, she knew that Veronica was using her. She was not dense enough to think that this other witch had brought her back to her home out of the goodness of her heart. However, Lila was tired of living in that cabin. She was no longer a little girl who thought of it as an adventure, but a grown woman who missed the luxuries of an actual home. Lila took her time and washed her hair thoroughly as it had been some time since she was able to wash in something other than a large bucket and wash cloth. As she took her bath, she also thought about the information that Veronica had given her. So, the human's son is actually a werewolf. Veronica already knew that would mean that Arden would have no issue giving the title to that little brat over her son. Her hands moved down to her belly once more. It had to be a son. There was no other option. Lila thought about Mason. As much as she despised the man, she knew that he would not allow a child of his to be tossed aside
Arden and Aurora stood in the Alpha office along with Rich and Roger. Arden had asked the previous Beta to join them as well. His father had decided to retire to a small house on the edge of the territory. It was not exactly a cabin, but it was close. Arden had tried numerous times to get Mason to return to the pack house. Mason has graciously declined the invitation. Arden wondered if his pride played a part in why he would not return. Lila had put such a hold on him and Mason thought that the entire pack thought of him as weak now. Arden was unsure if the rest of the pack felt this way, but he knew that it was not all of is father's fault for being deceived by Lila. Mason had been distraught with pain when Arden's mother, Charlotte, had died. Losing one’s mate was the worst thing in the world for a wolf. "Still nothing?" Arden asked Roger. Arden had asked Roger to request his father's presence at this meeting, however, by the shake of his head, Arden knew that even Roger was n
Lila had started to feel tired once more. The pregnancy made her look weak, and Lila despised looking weak. She walked back to the room that she was currently occupying. She closed the door behind her and turned the small lock that was on the knob. She turned to the center of her room. She wondered if Veronica would know that Lila teleported. She did not want to stay under Veronica's finger any longer or be a pawn in her game for vengeance. Lila had her own revenge to worry about. First thing was first. She needed to get to Mason and let him know of the pregnancy. She would have to take the chance of him growing angry and possibly killing her. Lila would have to teleport back here if in fact he did try to end both her and their child and then she would have no other option but to help Veronica with her plans. Lila took a deep breath. Veronica had been trying a locator spell to find Mason in her spell room, but by the looks of things, Veronica had been unsuccessful. Lila closed er
Lila looked up at Mason. He was a lot more powerful than when she had left him. He and his wolf must be one again. Lila looked down at her hands in her lap. "I am pregnant," she said quietly. She knew that Mason and his wolf had already sensed it. "Yes. I can see that. Why have you come here?" Mason asked. He grabbed his clothes and began to dress. "I have nowhere else to go and you are the child's father. You are the Alpha of the Northern Pack," Lila looked around the small cabin. "Well, were. It looks as though titles have already been transferred," Lila was trying to appear innocent when she was anything but. "The only thing saving you right now is my pup in your belly. I hope that you understand that," Mason growled. He walked over to his chair and sat down heavily. He ran one hand down his face. He could not believe this mess. Lila had stolen the chance for Arden and Aurora to have a child and here she was. Bearing one of Mason's. "I transferred the title as soon as I cou
