A couple of days had passed after Mason's announcement. He wanted Aurora to rest more before a small ceremony in front of the pack. He wanted to make sure that she looked strong to the rest of the pack. He knew that she was but her first impression mattered when trying to get others to follow. Rich and Roger were put on Lila duty. They were to get as close to the Whispering Shadows Coven territory as they could without raising suspicion. They checked in with Arden and Mason regularly. However, so far everything was quiet. They had not gotten even whiff of a scent of her. Aurora stood outside of Eli's room and looked in on him while he played. Arden and Aurora had agreed that it was best to try and tell Eli about the pack and what he was. Aurora was unsure how he was going to react. Luckily with Eli being five, he had more of an open mind. Aurora just hoped that he wouldn’t come to fear the pack and the other wolves. "Hi, momma," Eli said as he looked up from his seat on the ground.
Aurora looked around the large room. It was modern in its style but also still had some touches that made it feel like home as well. Arden had worked to get the Alpha and Luna room changed before they moved back into the pack house. It was his attempt to remove any evidence of Lila. Aurora turned back around and smiled at Arden who stood in the doorway. "Happy then?" Arden asked. Aurora nodded and walked over to him. She put her arms around his waist and kissed him. "Thank you," she whispered. "I will do anything for you and Eli," Arden reassured her. They had already dropped Eli off in his new room just down the hall. Arden had made sure that new toys and clothes were brought in so that he had a space at the pack house as well as at Faith's new home that she would be staying in. "You have given us so much," Aurora said, her eyes began to fill with unshed tears. "I am sorry I am not able to give you the one thing that you want most," she mentioned the fact that she would never
Aurora looked around the office. It was a lot more spacious than the basement that she worked in at their old home. It had been completely stripped apart from a large wooden desk and a few matching wooden filing cabinets. Arden had asked which office she preferred as Lila had taken the Alpha office. Aurora had decided on the smaller. It seemed fitting as she was the Luna and did not want to take anything away from Arden and his Alpha title. Unlike Lila, Aurora loved her Alpha and wanted him to have everything that that role entailed. Aurora had just sat in the oversized chair when a light knock sounded on the closed door. "Come in," Aurora called and pulled her chair closer to the desk. When Aurora's gaze moved to the door, she saw Ava walking through. She softly closed the door behind her before turning around and facing the new Luna. Ava had felt confident this morning in her decision, however, now that she was standing in front of Aurora and all her confidence that she exuded, s
"It seems that everything is as it should be. You are recovering nicely," Doctor Collins said as he looked down at his clip board. They had run a few test on Aurora to clear her. Doctor Collins looked up from the board and caught Aurora and Arden looking at one another. The meaning behind their expression was not hard to figure out. Doctor Collins chuckled and then coughed into his hand. "Luna, you are cleared for all activities," Doctor Collins said as he emphasized all. Aurora's cheeks turned pink at his meaning. Arden chuckled at his mate's reaction. "Thank you, Doctor," Aurora and Arden said in unison. Doctor Collins nodded while a smile sat upon his face. "Now, shall we go take a look at your son?" Doctor Collins asked. Aurora nodded and moved off the exam table. The nurse had put Eli and Faith in a separate room. As Doctor Collins pushed the door open, his clip board fell from his hands as his gaze immediately shot to Aurora's mother, Faith. The room was silent apart from
Eli seemed unphased by the doctor visit. He was relieved the moment that Doctor Collins had said no shots. When Aurora and Arden returned to the pack house with Eli, Eli had asked to go play out back with some of the other children. Melody had offered to keep an eye on the boy as she was going to be in the kitchen preparing dinner. Arden pulled Aurora up the stairs so quickly that Aurora thought they might have just teleported. She giggled as Arden picked her up and walked her through the doorway. He kicked the door closed with his booted foot. "Mrs. Taylor, you have been cleared for all activity," Arden said huskily. His head lowered to Aurora's while he still held her firmly in his arms. Aurora returned the kiss and then some. Her hands had found their way into his hair as she pulled him closer to her. If that was even possible. Arden moaned low in his throat. It resembled a growl. He slowly lowered Aurora to the floor. As he did so, his hands wandered her body. Stopped at the bo
Eli only spared his mother a glance before waving goodbye and running into the small elementary school. Aurora laughed. She was happy that Eli was so excited to go to his new school. There were already a few kids that Eli had played with that were also in his class. “He is very independent,” one of the teachers commented. Aurora nodded in agreement. Aurora thanked the teacher and turned around and walked back to where Arden stood on the sidewalk. “He did not even look back at me,” Aurora playfully acted wounded. Arden wrapped his arms around her and kissed her temple. “He is a boy,” Arden said as if that was answer enough. Aurora laughed once more before getting into the passenger seat of Arden’s car. Arden had offered to drop her off at Ava’s home. Arden turned the corner and Aurora noticed that the houses all looked like the one that her mother now lived in. Arden answered her question before she could ask. “All of these homes were built at the same time. My father had to expand
"What did she say to you exactly?" Arden asked after they returned to the pack house. Arden had found clothes and Aurora had changed into something more comfortable. Aurora told Arden again the conversation that Aurora had with the witch in the forest. "This woman is talking in cryptic phrases," Arden said out of annoyance. "Same as when I saw her," he added. Aurora stopped her pacing and looked at Arden. "When did you see her?" Aurora asked. "You idiot," Thor said inside his mind. Arden had not told Aurora about seeing the witch when they first arrived back in the pack. "I had to go for a run to let off steam after my father had told me about the tests. The witch was in the clearing. She gave cryptic answers then as well. Never quite an answer but very vague. It it always around Lila," Arden said. He hoped Aurora would not be angry at him for not telling her. "Next time if something like that happens, please tell me," Aurora said, frustrated that this witch kept making an app
Two days later, Aurora and Arden sat at a large round wooden table. Alpha Evander and his Beta Arlo sat on one side, while Aurora, Arden and Rich sat on the other. Rich said that he had not been the most welcomed when he had arrived at the territory line to the Crescent Moon Pack. However, after Evander heard Arden’s name. He allowed Rich in and to explain why it was, he was there in the first place. Now as they all sat across from one another, Evander wondered what they could possibly want. "Well Alpha Arden. You called this meeting. What is it that you are after?" Alpha Evander asked. "When my mate and I were last here, you asked questions about the spell that was on my father. You also said that you made it a point to keep tabs on the neighboring covens,” Arden said as he watched Evander’s reaction. Alpha Evander sat in his chair and regarded the other Alpha. He was not about to say how close he was with one witch in particular. Alpha Arden seemed to have a vendetta against
