We were soon in the office and I was allotted a cabin. It was right beside Akanksha's. The name Neil Parker, Assistant Managing Directed, engraved on the door.

I sat back onto the recliner, comfortably.

"You like it, sir?", Akanksha asked smiling at me.

"I love it, Ugly ducking.", I said flashing her my annoying smile.

"Huh! Goblins are uglier anyways.", She replied with her 'oh so smart' smile. I sat up.

"Why can't you keep your hair open?", I asked sighing, looking at her neatly pony tailed hair.

"Oh God, Mr. Parker I am at office. This is not your park for romance..", She said, smiling amused, "You are such a kid sometimes."

"Keeping the kid in me alive. Always.", I said proudly.

"Sure.", She said, with a beautiful smile.

She turned and left.

I sat there thinking about her, not that I was missing her, not yet. But her behaviour this morning was a little strange. I had to find out.. After all I had read the whole Sherlock Holmes series - I must have learnt something.

I ran out hastily, my heart thumping loudly in my chest. By the Grace of God, there was a yellow taxi waiting. The Goenka Industries was not at much of a distance from the airport. I was there soon to find a huge crowd in front of the smoky building.I ran.. The Fire brigade had just come but they hadn't gone in, still trying to extinguish the fire from outside.I pushed through the sea of people and moved to the front. I met a familiar face, Akansha's assistant. I asked her if Akansha had come out," No Sir, not yet.. ", she continued with something more but well, I being a superhero as I considered myself, wasn't going to listen to anything extra so I decided to take matters in my own hands. There were fire brigade people guarding and not letting anyone go in. There was a "do not enter" tape placed like a boundary. I crawled in from below it. And without turning back, I ran into the building.. The fire was huge and the whole building seemed to be affected by it.There was a huge eff

Just the moment she was about to speak my phone rung.. For a moment I felt like picking it up and throwing it out of the window but then, maybe something important was there.I picked it up." Hello Neil! Where is my daughter?! ", my father in law asked frantically." She's fine, Old man. You don't need to bother about her. You have the most responsible son in law in the multiverse.", saying so I gave the phone to Akansha who already looked unwell. She talked to her father for quite some time, describing how bad the Fire had been.Just the moment her 'short and sweet talk' had finished I asked her snatching the phone from her," Girl, now tell me! ", I said, nearly wailing. She looked at me for a second, and then said," Actually.. The thing is... "" Fast! ", I snapped unable to hold back my curiosity." I'm-I'm love with somebody else! ", she said in one breath and those words.. They hit me like a hard stone, right on my forehead.I think my eyes nearly popped out because of the way

We were soon siting in a room with that guy Anirudh siting opposite to us. We sat on wooden chairs. He stared at me, observantly, from across the wooden table, as if surveying me.Now, I couldn't definitely deny that Mr. Anirudh Chaudhary was a handsome man but yes, definitely not more than me!" So, this is your husband, Neil Parker? ", he asked Akansha who nodded her head in agreement.Anirudh offered his hand for a handshake. I drew in a sharp breath, forced a fake smile and shook hands wih him. After that he said," Mr. Parker.. You look better than what I had thought about you. Akansha had told that you are handsome but when I see you in front of me.. You look better than my thoughts.. Glad to meet you, young man. ", he said with an almost genuine smile." Thanks. Anirudh, the boyfriend of my husband had been living in Akanksha and my house as if it was his Dad's. After several days of torture, one day Mr. Anirudh had to go out to Dubai for some work. By the way, Akanksha, after all, did not fire me from the job. I was still working perfectly under her, she is not that bad as I thought.
