Cynthia stormed into the living room, dropped the bag she was carrying and walked angrily into her room. Her sister, Angel, wondered what that reaction was and picked the bag anyway. It contained the medicine Cynthia just got from the store where she's got some sewing threads. Soon, Cynthia got out of the room in a changed dress and sat beside Angel on the only couch in the living room.
Angel looked at her intensely and folded her arms.
"What happened Cynthia? Ever since you stormed in, you've been cussing and fuming. What's the problem dear?" She inquired with an arched brow. Both siblings look so much alike that even friends make mistake in identifying them. Some would as well go as far as arguing that the siblings are twins in disguise.
"I ran into a jerk today" Cynthia frowned and twisted her face irritably. "No, rather, a jerk ran into me today" she corrected.
"Take it easy girl, you're always too harsh anyways" Angel chipped in, teasing her younger sister, knowing fully well that Cynthia won't let that slide.
"Oh please, I almost got hit while rushing home with the threads I went to get".
"What!" screamed Angel, searching for any hint that could give Cynthia away as joking. There was none, Cynthia's face remained very angry.
"How did it happen?" She demanded and Cynthia narrated everything that had happened between her and Collins. "I gave him an earful though" she beamed. "I told him to go to hell and learn some manners next time"
"What a rude jerk, do you know that guy at all?" Angel asked, putting on a fierce look. Her sister was taken aback. She rarely sees Angel get so worked up. She has always been the cool and calm one, always avoiding trouble. Cynthia remembered an incident that happened when they were younger...
Flashback
Crack!
Cynthia's eyes almost popped out as she stared at the flower vase which just got shattered and scattered all over. It was the most precious possession her mother owned. She fell down crying profusely "Oh what have I done?" Angel ran out of the room and was startled at what just happened. She covered her mouth with her hand, trying hard not to scream. She ran over to Cynthia, asking how the vase got broken.
Cynthia replied amidst tears "I was...only admiring it when it... dropped. Oh mum would be disappointed at me" she cried the more.
"What do we do?" Angel asked on the edge of tears. She knew her sister is in for trouble if their mother gets back to a broken flower vase. At that moment, both girls heard their mother's voice greeting a neighbor outside.
"Oh mum is back, aren't I in a lot of trouble" Cynthia cried the more while Angel gathered the shattered vase. The sight that stood before their mother was unbelievable. She hurriedly dropped the sack she was carrying and rushed towards the mess.
"Who broke this?" She screamed. This was the only valuable possession that reminds her of her late husband after his death. "I demand an answer" she screamed again, grabbing both kids. "Who did this? Who" she widened her eyes.
"I did mum" Angel responded, sending a shock to Cynthia with her reply. The younger girl wondered why her sister would lie and bring their mother's anger upon herself. "No....." She started but was cut short.
"I was admiring it when it slipped and broke. I'm so sorry mum"
"Was it today I placed it there? It's been there for five god-damned years, so why did you choose today to admire it?" their mother asked, pulling and twisting Angels ears. It hurts so much that she cried greatly. Cynthia couldn't help but cry and plead with their mother to leave Angel alone. She wept for causing her sister so much trouble. Angel was barely ten and her sister was seven at that time.

"Cynthia! I asked a question. Who tried to hurt you? Angel asked with obvious anger.
Cynthia sighed. "I'm fine Angel. You don't have to worry. Like I said, I showed him the true Cynthia" she said,. rolling her tongue and they both laughed hard.

I pity her anyway, because by the time she realizes that this family loves her not, she'll be forced to leave...and your secrets... exposed" she grunted at him and left the room rapidly.
He got hold of the glass cup on the dressing table and shattered it on the wall in anger. A maid came running into the room due to the loud noise.
"Clear that mess" he ordered and stormed out

Far away distance. 9:00am
Johnson was on a phone call. "Fred, what's the update?"
"Sir, we've found someone"
"Perfect. Bring her into the house".
Fifteen minutes earlier"Lift your chin well" Fred demanded. He and the other men working for Mr Johnson are at the family's company, examining all the ladies at work thoroughly. "How many ladies are yet to resume?" He questioned one of the workers. "Just Lynda" the latter replied and added immediately "Oh there she comes!"All attention shifted to her. Earlier before their meeting."Hell no! Evelyn ma'am, how can you ask me to do such a thing?" Angel asked, It was unbelievable to her. Before the customers left, Evelyn made Patience give her his contact, promising to provide a lady that would fit in for a replacement bride and here she was with her plan."Angel dear..." Evelyn started, patting her back"No, I'm not going to do that. That's ridiculous" she cuts in."Think about your mother. She needs huge money for her surgery and there's no way to realize such amount you know that". Angel started sobbing softly. Evelyn continued"I know it's a very though decision dear, but you have to do this for your mother"Angel looked at the older woman and sighed. This woman in front of her has stood solidly behind herself and her sister when their mother went into coma due to an ugly incident that happened when she was younger. She has been a good friend of her mum and was so heartbroken when her best friend got hospitalized. In order to help
Angel arrived at the Johnson's house about twenty five minutes after. She stepped out of the car and was led into the house. She gasped momentarily as she stepped into the living room. It was magnificent. The whole place glittered as if made of a paradise stone. The inner decorations were glamorous compared to the ones she usually admire in magazines. "This is unbelievable" she muttered."Sit" Fred said, pointing to a queen like chair. "You'd be attended to shortly" "Yes, thank you" she began but it was useless as he had already left. She drooped her bag on the glass Table and moved round to admire the paintings on the wall. "This is beautiful" she inhaled and for a moment, she forgot what brought her to a paradise like this house. She reached for one of the paintings but was suddenly cut-short"Don't you dare" a woman said quietly but sternly. Angel turned to look who it was. The woman has a Queen air around her and everything about her speaks riches. She is a very beautiful woman
Chapter one6:am, GreenvilleCollins Pov"What! No! No way"!"This is a joke, right...? You... don't mean this." I screamed unbelievably into the phone receiver. The voice at the other end of the receiver came through."Yes Collins. I'm sorry it has to end this way" and then the call ended. The shock was too much for me to bear. I burst into hysterical laughter, feeling a deep stab in my heart. "Oh no!, I started ."Haha... that was a...that was the greatest joke I've heard in my life....", I broke off and suddenly felt an itch to scream. Hitting the mirror in which I stood in front, I rubbed my hair in my hands and impulsively threw a fist at the pitiful image in front of me. The mirror came shattering all over in front of me and I watched blood triple down my battered hands. I heard a hurried advancement and knew instantly that it was my mum rushing up. She let out a gasp the moment she stepped in and echoed "What have you done, Collins?" She gazed at me, her expression clearly w
