Family Reunion

Thea and Lucian walked into the spacious villa greeted by a well-dressed butler. A woman. Lucian sulked behind Thea as she talked to the concerned butler who seemed to recognize them as soon as they came in.

He had been like this since earlier. Since he’d told her that Sofia had collapsed, he had a lost expression on his face as if he didn’t know what to do. She was the one who drove them there, and as he sat in the passenger seat in dazed silence, he finally asked her.

“What if it’s too late,” He asked.

“It’s never too late as long as you two are still alive,” She said softly and he nodded mutely.

Now, as she watched him look at the side of the hall with an uncertain expression, she made her way to him and took his hand in hers.

“Everything is going to be okay,” She reassured him as soon as he looked her in the eyes.

“You don’t know that…” He stated.

“I do. Because she loves you more than you think she does,” She reassured him.
