Hazel's eyes slowly opened, the soothing sound of waves filling her ears. She glanced to her side, finding the space empty; Francisco had gotten up early. Wrapped in a white blanket, she took a deep breath and rose from the cozy bed.

Not finding her frock around, she picked up Francisco's white shirt and slipped it on. The shirt was too transparent, clearly outlining her body shape.

Stepping out of the cabin, she spotted Francisco grilling fish. She brushed her hair from her face, the breeze playing with the strands.

For a few minutes, she stood there, watching him. Her heart started to twist suddenly with conflicting emotions.

'What if he was not a criminal, what if he did not rape me, what if his life was normal, what if he and I met like normal people? Would it be okay with me to love him?' Hazel thought, her face sober.

While thinking, Hazel tipped behind Francisco and hugged him from behind. Francisco was surprised but not shocked. He asked, "How did you sleep last night?"

"Your mother?""My mom," Francisco uttered, looking up at the sky. "She was the most beautiful woman. My dad always said I had her eyes."Hazel touched his hair gently and asked, "What happened to her?"Francisco slightly smiled, a sad smile that didn't reach his eyes. "The same thing that happens to most in a mafia family. Dad's rivals killed her first."Hazel's heart sank as she listened. Francisco continued, "At that time, I was living in London for my studies. I had everything I wanted, the freedom to live a normal life. But after she was killed, everything changed. Everything I had slowly slipped away."His voice grew softer, more haunted."Every night, I struggled to sleep. It felt like if I closed my eyes, someone would come and kill me too."Hazel was engrossed in his words, feeling the weight of his trauma. She didn't know how to comfort him, but whatever she was hearing made her feel weaker towards him. Francisco had experienced deep trauma in his childhood, and she could se

No answer came back. Francisco muttered a curse under his breath and stepped forward, scanning the yacht for any sign of her. As he reached the edge of the deck, a soft splash from below caught his attention. He looked over the side and spotted her—Hazel, swimming in the cool, clear water. Relief washed over him as he leaned on the railing, watching her with a mix of admiration and curiosity.Hazel noticed him and looked up with a playful smile."It’s not good for your skin?" he teased, the water glistening on her bare shoulders.Francisco smirked."It’s cold," she added, shivering slightly."If you want, you can join me."Francisco’s grin widened. He needed no further invitations. He quickly shrugged off his shirt and, with a smooth motion, dove into the water beside her. The sudden chill of the ocean hit him, but he welcomed it, invigorated by the cool embrace of the sea.Hazel drifted back slightly, her eyes fixed on him as he swam closer. There was a new softness in her gaze, a wa

Hazel sat on the floor between Francisco's legs, her eyes closed as he gently dried her hair with a soft towel. The water dripped down their bodies, the warmth of the shower still lingering around them. Francisco’s movements were slow and tender, as if savoring the quiet moment they were sharing. Hazel leaned back slightly, feeling the soothing rhythm of his hands in her hair, a sense of peace washing over her.But the tranquility was shattered when Francisco suddenly paused, his hand freezing mid-motion. Hazel noticed the shift immediately and opened her eyes, looking up at him. His expression had changed, his relaxed smile replaced with a frown of concern."Honey, wait a minute," Francisco said, his voice tight.Hazel blinked, confused by his sudden change in demeanor. She shifted slightly as Francisco carefully set the towel aside and got to his feet. He moved toward the small window, peeking outside with narrowed eyes. Hazel followed his gaze, feeling a knot of unease form in her

  • His Deadly Obsession   He left

At midnight, a black car pulled up quietly in front of Francisco's mansion. The night was heavy with silence as Francisco stepped out, his face stern and filled with a quiet intensity. He walked up to the second floor, each step deliberate and slow, the weight of his thoughts bearing down on him.The room was cloaked in darkness when he entered. Only the faint moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on the bed where Hazel slept peacefully. Francisco moved toward her, his movements quiet, as if afraid to disturb the tranquility that surrounded her. He sat down beside her, his gaze locked onto her serene face. For several minutes, he did nothing but watch her sleep. Her chest rose and fell with each breath, her expression calm, free of the worries that plagued him. He reached out, his hand trembling slightly, and gently touched her hair. His fingers slowly ran through her soft locks, and he felt a pang of something deep inside—something that felt like longing.Franc

  • His Deadly Obsession   Old friend

Hazel’s nerves were frayed. For the last two days, she had been living in a state of agonizing uncertainty. Francisco hadn’t come home, nor had he called. Even worse, there had been no word from her father. The silence was unbearable, and it gnawed at her constantly, leaving her restless and anxious. She wandered through the mansion, her mind swirling with thoughts of what might have gone wrong. Was Francisco suspicious of her? Had he discovered something that she didn’t know about? The possibilities were endless, and each one was more terrifying than the last. Hazel rubbed her forehead, trying to ease the tension building there, but it was no use. The worry was like a heavyweight pressing down on her, and she couldn’t shake it off.As she paced back and forth, lost in thought, the sudden ring of the telephone startled her. It was a sharp, jarring sound that cut through the silence like a knife. The phone rarely rang, and it wasn’t a line that could be used for outgoing calls—only for

  • His Deadly Obsession   In his secret place

The car rolled to a stop in front of a one-floor building, its weathered exterior illuminated by a single, flickering yellow bulb. The place looked ancient, forgotten by time. Hazel stepped out of the car, her eyes adjusting to the dim light. The surrounding area was eerily quiet, isolated, and it became clear this was no ordinary place. The restricted nature of the surroundings hinted that this was likely Francisco's private land, far from prying eyes. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest as she took in her surroundings. The oppressive atmosphere was thick with unease, and the building's ominous appearance only added to her growing anxiety. What could Francisco possibly be doing here?"Ma'am," the driver's voice cut through her thoughts, making her jump slightly.Hazel turned to face him, trying to calm herself. "Sir is waiting for you," he said, his tone flat, emotionless. She nodded, swallowing hard as she gathered her composure. Slowly, she walked toward the building, each step f

  • His Deadly Obsession   What is he hiding?

Francisco's intense gaze locked onto Hazel's as he slowly broke the kiss. He watched her eyes flutter open, her breath coming in shaky gasps. Without breaking eye contact, he leaned in to kiss her chin, his lips trailing down to her neck. Hazel's body trembled under his touch, her hands instinctively gripping his shoulders for stability. But as Francisco's kisses became more fervent, Hazel felt the rising tide of desire threatening to sweep them both away. Her voice trembled as she tried to regain some control."Francisco, wait," she whispered, her words almost a plea."Please."Francisco, lost in the moment, ignored her hesitation. He lifted her onto the table, stepping between her legs and pulling her closer. His hands gripped her waist, his breath hot against her skin. Hazel’s heart raced, a mix of excitement and anxiety coursing through her. "It's uncomfortable here," she managed to say, her voice barely audible over the sound of their breathing.Francisco's lips curled into a sma

Hazel finished adjusting her dress, her eyes lingering on the glass for a moment before turning to face Francisco. He hadn’t taken his eyes off her, his intense gaze unwavering. She could feel his eyes on her, and it made her uneasy. Hazel sighed, trying to shake off the discomfort.“Don’t look at me like that,” Hazel said, her voice laced with unease.Francisco tilted his head slightly, “What look?”Francisco’s expression didn’t change.“What eyes?” he asked, his tone calm but probing.Hazel blinked, feeling the weight of his stare.“You know what I mean,” she replied, trying to avoid his gaze.A small, almost amused smile played at the corners of Francisco’s lips.“And why shouldn’t I look at you?” he pressed.“Because,” Hazel started, her voice faltering slightly, “because it feels like I did something wrong.”She turned away, gathering her hair into a ponytail, trying to shake off the feeling of being under his scrutiny.Without warning, Francisco’s hand shot out, gripping her wai

“Hazel.”Francisco’s voice cut through the silence.“You still doubt me? Doubt my power?”Hazel let out a deep sigh.“Undoubtedly… no.”A slight smirk played on Francisco’s lips.“Really?”Instead of answering, Hazel bit her lower lip and turned her back to him.Francisco ran his hand over his rough jaw. He hadn’t shaved, maybe because he was too busy or too tired.Hazel’s eyes drifted toward the porch attached to the bedroom. The thick curtains swayed gently in the cold breeze, the moonlight pouring through and bathing everything in a soft, silvery glow. The view outside looked calm—almost peaceful. The full moon cast long shadows, lighting up the entire porch in a dream-like haze. She was lost in the view when Francisco quietly walked over and sat down in front of her.Francisco had changed his dress.Wearing only a pair of loose trousers, his bare, sculpted body caught the moonlight—every muscle highlighted in sharp contrast, as if carved by the night itself.Amazing, Hazel thought

“Will you be able to handle everything?” Francisco asked, his voice low as he and Max walked through the quiet garden under the night sky.“Do I have any other option?” Max replied, glancing at him. They both fell silent for a moment, only the sound of their footsteps on the gravel breaking the stillness.“So, you’ve really decided to go through with this?” Max asked, sensing something heavy on Francisco’s mind.“Yes,” Francisco replied, exhaling a puff of smoke into the cool air.“I have to do whatever it takes to protect her... and the child.”Max looked at him with concern.“Francisco, I don’t know… is it really worth it? All of this?”Francisco took a deep breath, then threw the cigarette to the ground, crushing it beneath his shoe.“Max,” he said firmly, “for me, she is everything.""And soon, she’ll give me the best gift I could ever have.”Max looked around the still garden, the silence pressing in.“I’ll pray for you,” he muttered, then let out a soft laugh.“Pray? James took a deep breath, exhaled slowly, and muttered, “Yeah, everything I do irritates you, but when it comes to Francisco—everything he does is just perfect, right?”Lilith narrowed her eyes, her patience clearly thinning.“James, just shut up.”He smirked, not bothering to hide the satisfaction in her irritation. “Fine, I’ll stop. But let’s not forget—you lost him too.”Lilith’s expression darkened. Her jaw clenched, and for a moment, it looked like she might speak, but she chose silence. Her cold stare said enough.Dimitri let out an audible sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Alright, enough. Let’s stay on topic.”Andrew leaned forward, glancing around the table. “We all know this won’t be easy. Francisco may be reckless, but he’s done a lot—things that kept the balance. We need to decide—do we support this internal power shift, or not?”Dimitri raised a brow and turned to Michele, Kai’s son. “Speaking of balance, Michele... I heard about the recent attack on Francisco.”Mic

The next morning, when Hazel woke up, something felt different. She looked around the room, her brows knitting together in confusion. The walls, once cast in shadows and a cold ambiance, now glowed with soft, natural light. The curtains were lighter, fresh flowers adorned the corners, and the overall atmosphere felt warm—inviting. No longer did the room feel like a prison.Hazel propped herself up on one elbow. “What is this…?”Just then, Lily entered with a bright smile and a large bouquet of fresh flowers in her arms. “Good morning, ma’am.”Hazel blinked in surprise. “Good morning… but what’s going on?”“Sir instructed us to redecorate the room,” Lily replied, arranging the flowers in a vase by the window. “He said it should feel brighter for you.”Hazel raised an eyebrow. “Why?”Lily smiled softly. “Because the doctor said it would help improve your mood.”Hazel pressed her lips into a thin line and said nothing. She simply stood and made her way to the washroom. After freshen

Enemies surrounded Francisco from all sides. He had built his empire on blood, and now the ghosts of his past were closing in.On him.On her.On their unborn child.Hazel studied him for a moment longer before shifting her gaze back to the book in her lap.Francisco’s voice cut through the silence."I didn’t mean to shock you."Hazel didn’t look up. Her tone was flat."It’s nothing new for me."Francisco clasped his palms together, his fingers pressing against each other in thought. He wanted to keep talking to her, to break through the walls she had built around herself, but Hazel was determined to end the conversation before it even began. He blinked slowly, exhaling through his nose.As he watched her, something stirred inside him—an overwhelming craving. He wanted to pull her into his arms, to hold her close, to feel the warmth of her body against his.He had heard that pregnant women experienced mood swings, that they craved more affection even as they pushed people away. Was th

“So the deal is more important to you than your child?” Arthur asked, his voice gentle yet firm.Hazel fell silent. Her heart pounded faster, but she forced herself to ignore it.Then, Arthur spoke again.“Will you really be able to live without your child, ma’am?”Hazel’s fingers tightened around the book she was holding. She had only been thinking about her freedom, about escaping the monster who had taken everything from her. But she hadn’t once stopped considering the child.Would she really leave her baby with him?Would the child grow up to be like Francisco—a ruthless mafia king?A deep frown creased Hazel’s forehead.No. She didn’t want to think about that. That wasn’t her concern. She was only supposed to care about herself. That was the plan. That was the deal. That was it.Taking a deep breath, she spoke, her voice steady but cold.“Arthur.”Arthur’s eyes remained on her, waiting.“Do you know your boss is monitoring me?” she asked, tilting her head slightly. “Every second.

Francisco and Hazel arrived at the mansion after the dangerous chaos. The ride had been silent, but the weight of what had happened lingered between them like an unspoken storm.Hazel’s face was gloomy, her expression distant. She wasn’t naive—she knew this was only the beginning. There would be more.More blood. More danger.More reasons to fear for the life growing inside her.Her hand instinctively rested on her belly. At first, she didn’t care much about the child. The idea of carrying Francisco’s baby had been unbearable. But now, an unfamiliar feeling twisted inside her—something more than just obligation. A strange, indefinable bond.Francisco, watching her closely, noticed the way her fingers pressed lightly against her stomach. He didn’t say anything, but he understood. She was shaken. She hadn’t expected an attack so soon.He clenched his jaw. From now on, he had to be more careful.Whatever he had been before—ruthless, reckless, untouchable—it didn’t matter anymore. Now, he

Then, after a brief pause, Diana’s voice came through, quieter than usual."Francisco came here.""I know," Max replied flatly, his tone robotic.Diana took a deep breath, trying to steady herself."Max… I’m not feeling good about this.
