Chapter 4
Fearwarning before reading, this has mature content. So be warned!
At the other side of the mansion, the groom was venting his anger and frustration at the punching bag.
Sweat dripped down his perfect body as he continued to punch the bag in anger. His biceps and triceps were contracting as his fist hit the bag with his legs moving around, releasing the stress on them.
The door of the gym room was opened, revealing a distressed man walking in long strides to the groom while holding a brown file with him.
Nathaniel didn't pause what he was doing, "Has mom found a replacement?" he asked emotionlessly.
"Yes," the man responded, "she's with the triplets," the man added.
Lucky bitch, he thought.
"Name?"
"Angelina Walters," the groom hummed in response, "And this is some information about her."
"You know your work Peter," Nathaniel said as the man called Peter bowed, handing him the document.
"Tell Trey to prepare the divorce letter," he ordered.
"Yes sir," Peter bowed his head and left.
He hasn't married yet, and he's already asking for a divorce letter, Peter thought.
Angelina, Angelina. Nathaniel hummed, moving his head quietly.
He took a spare towel and used it to wipe the sweat on his body, then sat down on a chair to read her information.
He gingerly opened the file as a picture fell; he bent and took it, revealing his wife-to-be. He was first drawn to her unique grey eyes, which looked at nothing in particular as the knee-length blue gown she wore, showing her short thick legs.
"Oh my," he groaned breathlessly, staring at the picture, feeling himself getting hard. He rubbed his stubble as he continued to stare at her boobs, seeing the lines of her bra, which cupped those big boobs.
He left the file hurriedly and went to the shower room, yet still holding the picture, and he has not had this reaction to anyone, even his ex-fiance.
He rushed in and locked the door behind him, taking out his stiff shaft as he palmed it softly to the lady's picture. He closed his eyes and imagined her naked in his front with her boobs jiggling.
"Oh my," he released a shuddered breath, cupping his balls as he moved his hand up and down furiously to have his release when he noticed his stomach squirmed as his toes curled; he screamed out her name, "Angelina," In that cue, the shower room was knocked, telling him it was time. He breathed softly, catching his breath as he came down from his high.
He took a quick shower and left the shower with the picture. He got dressed and kept the picture in his pocket for future use. He felt refreshed after the breakup and grinned before leaving with his friend.
The groom's father- Leonard, came to the room and took the bride's hand, walking her to the aisle as the triplets walked behind them.
Angelina walked carefully, not wanting to step into the extravagant dress she wore. She didn't raise her head because of the crowds and their judgmental eyes. She was nervous.
The groom stood regal at his position with his best groom standing as his shield, and he turned his face away when he saw his father bringing his fake — no, wife in. He couldn't see her face because of the veil, and he could see her angelic face. As her steps were getting closer, he felt his heart beating loudly, feeling himself getting nervous. Why?
The father-in-law left his daughter-in-law to be at the chapel and went to sit beside his smiling wife. "She's beautiful," he said in a calm voice to his wife while his wife stomped on his feet and glared at him, "Don't talk!" she scolded.
The stout minister stood up with his tie dangling from his neck and cleared his throat before collecting the mic.
The minister turned to the bride, who clutched the bouquet in her trembling hands as she walked in. "Who gives this bride to this groom in marriage?" the minister asked.
"I do," the father-in-law said, cutting the bickering between him and his wife. The minister took the bride's right hand and placed it on the groom's left hand, and retired back to his position.
"Dear beloved," the man's voice was thin, "we are gathered here, in the sight of God and in the sight of family and friends, to join together this man and woman in Holy matrimony," the man wheezed, clearing his throat again as he tugged his tie.
"Love is patient - is kind. It neither envy, boasts, nor proud. It is not rude nor self-centered, or selfish. It's not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongdoings; love doesn't delight evil but righteousness with the truth. It always protects, respects, cares, hopes, and preserves. Love never fails. And Nathaniel and Angelina come today deserving to be united in this scared relationship of love."
"Oh God, you've created us in the image of love; bless these two who stand before you. Guide them in your wisdom, and shine your light upon them. That's as they journey through this life together. They will walk as bearers of your truth. Amen," the minister prayed as the crowd chorused 'amens.'
"Do you, Nathaniel Xavier Hugh take Angelina Adenike Walters as your wedded wife? To have and hold from this day till forever, for better or worse, in sadness or health, to love and cherish till death do you part. And you promise you'll be faithful, loyal, and truthful."
"I do," the groom responded without missing a bit, and the minister turned to the bride, who looked flustered at her groom's deep, smooth voice.
"Do you, Angelina Adenike Walters, take Nathaniel Xavier Hugh as your wedded husband? To have and hold from this day till forever, for better or worse, in sadness or health, to love and cherish till death do you part. And you promise you'll be faithful, loyal, and truthful."
"I do," the bride squeaked out in a shaky voice.
Two kids —a boy and a girl walked in, bringing in the ring.
The minister collected it and gave one to the groom and the other to the bride, "the groom and bride, kindly say this vow after me?" he asked, knitting his brow.
"This ring is my sacred gift to you, a symbol of my love, a sign that from this day and always, my love will surround you," they repeated in unison after the minister.
"In the power of God, I declare both of you as husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride,"
Nathaniel moved forward a little, opening the veil painstakingly as she closed her eyes shyly, waiting for him. He stared at the beauty in front of him because the picture didn't capture the innocent in front of him. He stared at her full plump lips, which were waiting for him. He blew air on her ear, letting her body respond to him.
She fluttered open her eyes to see what was delaying him but found his retracting figure.
He left.
He left her on the altar.
'I wasn't the one who left him at the altar, but I was the one who was left at the altar,' she thought bitterly.
She was just a replacement.

Chapter 5 He left without looking back. He couldn't control himself; just a whiff of her scent was enough to set him off. Her full plump lips, which were innocently teasing him to have a taste, were imprinted in his memory. Had it been he had tasted, he wouldn't be able to control himself-the last strain of sanity would leave him. Her eyelashes fanned her face as her expectant lips were calling him to her like a siren. He shook his head as he clenched his fist and left, which elicited a shocked gasp and murmur from the crowd. He walked in a long stride, unbuttoning his suit, and threw it away without knowing where it landed. He needed to cool off because the unfathomable heat and need he felt were making him crazy. His heart was beating loudly as blood was rushing down to his groin at a faster rate. He went to his car at the underground garage and ignited it to life before zooming off to any nearest bar he could find to quench the heat he was feeling. His body never behaved like
Chapter 6 Nathaniel's friend kept staring at the timid lady who was hugging his suit tightly to stop the shivering, and he lowered the temperature of his car to make her comfortable. He looked at the lady that was in deep thought and unaware of her environment. He sighed and shook his head, and his friend was a dumbass. "I'm Nicholas by name, but family calls me Nick, and you can call me that because you are now my sister-in-law," he winked at her through the rear mirror, and she smiled shyly at him then turned away to look at the scene passing on the street as the car was moving. He raised his brow, waiting for her to tell her name even when he had, "Won't you tell this gentleman who introduced himself your name?" "Oh?" she said in a question before rubbing her hands together, "I'm Angelina." "No shorten?" he asked while she nodded. "Well, I'll give you one," he hummed, dancing with his head as he drummed his fingers on the steering. "Lina," he chirped. She smiled softly at h
Chapter 10 The sound of alarming blaring woke a tired Nathaniel from sleep. After hearing Angelina's conversation yesterday with her father, he wished to comfort her. Still, he didn't know how to go about it without making it awkward or like he was eavesdropping. Well, he was eavesdropping, though. He cringed mentally when he thought of how he would look had it been he was caught eavesdropping. His heart broke for what she had passed through, and he promised to make her forget her bad memories, but the big question was how?! Another difference between his wife and his ex was that Clara talked out what she felt, and he supported everything without missing a bit, but how would he understand her if she didn't voice out? He was terrible at understanding females generally. He gripped his hair embarrassingly, getting up from his bed stark naked and wobbly. He shook his head and inhaled deeply as his morning member rose. He entered the bathroom not after swinging all the mess he made on t
Chapter 8 Angelina stood frozen at the doorstep shockingly, with her mouth agape at what Nathaniel did, pecking her cheeks. She could believe the man who left her today at the altar kissed her cheek even though it was a thing to him, but it meant a lot to her. She rushed inside, closing the door behind her with a loud bang as her face was beet red. She ran to the open bathroom and stared at her red face in the mirror, looking at the girl with an oval-shaped face and well-kept wavy hair while her grey eyes stood out from her brown skin. Her nose ring shone on her pointed nose. She closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of his lips on her cheek. She opened the tap quickly, splashing the cold water rushing out on her face to stop her thudding heart from thinking of another meaning to the simple act. It's just a simple act! she scolded herself. She was palming her cheeks embarrassedly. She stared at herself again, removing her bangles and leg chains and putting them on the washing basin.
Chapter 9 Angelina's eyes momentarily flew open when he left abruptly as her gown slipped down her body, leaving her in the white lingerie she was given to wear today. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she was embarrassed for expecting more. She didn't understand why she was hurt by his action because she didn't have any feelings for him. Maybe like him, though, but one can't like a person you just met, she thought bitterly as her phone flashed her dad's name on the screen; she sniffed while wiping her running nose. She swiped it to the green side and held the phone to her left ear, and was greeted by her dad's cheerful voice. "Hello Adenike Mi,'' She smiled, feeling nostalgic at her father's voice. Had it been, she was at home with her father, her father would have cooked her favourite food, which was pounded yam and egusi (melon soup) for her. After eating, her father said she should walk with him outside under the drumstick tree in front of their house. They would sit on the perma

Chapter 12 At the front page of the newspaper, the picture of his back leaving the altar which he regretted of doing that was broad at a side with the headlines, "BILLIONAIRE DOLLARS NATHANIEL HUGH LEFT HIS WIFE AT THE ALTAR". The sentence was bold on the front page as he skimmed through it before he stopped at the last test, "Did they really do fake wedding as people whispered or…?" a big question mark was pasted at the head. Chapter 5Angelina heard a loud noise from the kitchen, which made her run out and check what had happened. She saw the man she was married to cussing while checking his foot. She smiled at his attic, and he mistakenly hit his toe.Angelina shook her head and escaped to the kitchen to soothe his pain with the coffee she had made."Good morning, dear husband." She greeted him with a smile. She didn't know what to call him. She didn't know whether he would be okay with her calling his name. She handed him a cup of coffee she had prepared.Angelina had woken up early in the morning to do her duties as a wife, though she hadn't been told what to do as a substitute. Cooking was an excellent start to having a conversation. She wanted to familiarise herself with everyone. So this house would be more accessible for her to stay in in the meantime. She had asked the maid in the kitchen what he liked and disliked, and the maid informed her how he wanted his coffee early in the morning without an
Chapter 4"I wasn't the one who left him at the altar, but I was the one who was left at the altar."Angelina didn't think this was how her wedding day would be, being left alone by her stranger husband.Even though it was fake and rushed, it still hurt her to be left alone in the eyes of people. There was no sting between them, but he was still supposed to wait for her.Angelina stood at the altar anguished, staring at the ground as a murmur filled the room. She felt her eyes sting with unshed tears of humiliation. The whispers were getting to her as she felt her chest thumping in anxiety and biting her trembling lips to stop a sound from escaping. She was shocked! Was this how all fake marriages are?She was nudged by a man who wore a neat Armani suit which matched his jet-black slick hair. He was tall and built a little, but not like her fake husband. He smiled softly at her, ushering her to move away from the eyes of people. Her legs moved wobbly, following the man before he suppo
Chapter 3"Okay," she responded in a weak voice, thinking of the pros and cons of the situation. It was a win-win situation. I get a house to live in, and he gets a wife to marry. And it's only for a year. Free food and shelter, She thought."Good!" the woman clapped her hands excitedly. "Oh my.. " the woman's eyes widened dramatically, using her hand to cover her mouth while Angelina stared at her, "sorry for my lack of manners," the woman smiled shyly."Uhn?""I'm Jasmine Hugh," she introduced herself, holding her hand out for her to shake. She rubbed her hands together before accepting her opened hand, "I'm Angelina Walters," she responded. Jasmine smiled to the fullest and dragged her again to another room, pushed her in, and then locked the door at the back."This is the bride," she announced enthusiastically while Angelina looked at her. Did she mean it?"Oh," three guys came out behind the curtains, twirling her around, staring at her in fascination."How I wish I had these ass

Chapter 1People always say first love is a lesson, but last love is true love, and Nathaniel did not believe it because his first and last love was Clara Adrian. His only woman.Clara was the granddaughter of his nanny, Mrs Adrian. He and Clara practically grew up together from diapers, and they went to the same schools. And they'd promised to get married when they grow up till old together with their child(ren). She was mine, and I was hers only. She was like the oxygen he breathed in.His twenty-six birthday was a fortnight ago, and she told him she was ready to become his lawful wife, and he proposed to her, feeling over the moon. She was a firm believer in sex before marriage, and he vowed to
'No sooner met but they looked, no sooner looked but they loved, no sooner loved but they sighed, no sooner sighed but they asked one another the reason, no sooner knew the reason, but they sought the remedy; and in these degrees have they made a pair of stairs to marriage.’William Shakespeare.Prologue"Do you take Angelina Adenike Walters as your lawful wife?" the minister asked."I do," he replied curtly, looking at nothing in particular as his eyes void any emotions he was feeling. The minister turned to the bride and asked, "do you take Nathaniel Xander Hugh as your lawful husband?" her heart skipped a little, staring at her unresponsive husband to face before responding in a crooked voice, "I do.""With the power of God, I declare both of you as husband and wife. You may kiss your bride," the minister pronounced. Her stranger husband moved to her slowly, opened her white veil a little as he tilted his head to the right side, and she closed her eyes expectantly, waiting for his
Bonus 2 “Nng!” Her husband sometimes behaved like a new groom. Nathaniel fumbled with his belt, and his hands were shaky as his breathing came out in short pants. Angelina giggled heartily. She bit her lower lip sensually, winking at him while Nathaniel gulped, staring at her hungrily. Like a starving man looking at a delicious meal yet couldn't touch it. “You are so naughty,'' Angelina's soft and teasing giggle rang in his head. He didn't know what to do! Today was one of the days for him to be embarrassed. They were cosplaying, with him being the naughty student and Angelina being the teacher. How did they get to this cosplay? His mom being his mom, brought out his embarrassing school days album; he was still wondering how she got it because he was 100% sure that he had hidden it well, except if his father snitched on him. Fuck! His album piqued Angelina's interest, and she innocently asked Jasmine - Nathaniel’s mom, if his uniform was still available. Without knowing what was
Bonus 1"Mama.""Yes dear," Angelina turned her gaze to her daughter as she caressed her hair, braiding the tip."I have a question…" Arabella furrowed her brows in confusion, staring at Richard who was doting on his wife to Belle, who was holding the new baby."What is it dear?" Angelina asked, tickling her daughter as she giggled excitedly."Is Aunty Bell my aunt or my grandmother?" Arabella asked, looking from a shocked Bell to a dumbfounded Richard."Ara…," Angelina dragged softly, already rubbing her temples. should she praise her child for being a brilliant, witty kid or blame her sarcastic gene of hers?"You always said I should ask you anything I don't understand that you'll explain to me," she pouted, staring at her with gleaming eyes. "Mama, you said best friends don't keep secrets from each other and you are my best friend." she grinned cheekily, using the best friend's card on Angelina while she sighed.“Ara mii,” Angelina called softly, pecking her daughter's forehead ador
