68| An Unwanted Addition

For the next few days, I knew Senna was avoiding me, but I didn't care because I had promised myself to look out for me instead of someone else. So I avoided him in return, moving out of the way whenever I saw him around. We locked gazes a few times, but I was always the first to tear my eyes away.

A few times, he returned home either drunk or with blood on his shirt, and it had me wondering what sort of dangerous business he was doing. But it wasn't my place to ask, so I ceased doing anything like that.

Last night, I spent it with Tina. She had decided to stay back for the weekend as Senna was indisposed and needed her.

We played a few card games that night, and she opened a wine bottle. We sipped while jazz music played in the background, and with the dimly lit candles coming from the scented candles she'd just gotten from the store, it gave the room a serene atmosphere, which I enjoyed.
