Adrian’s POV

“Alpha, would it not have been better if you would have chosen some unmated she-wolf to be your mate? Don’t you think, the Alpha of Blacknight Pack would have gotten any she-wolf as his mate? Just your command would have been enough, she-wolves are still ready to be your mate and give you, your heir. Why choose the one who is of no use, who left her mate and pack dying just to save a few members?” Colton, the alpha of the Dark Wood pack said while scrunching his nose at the mention of my mate. He and the other Alphas are invited by Brian, the Nightfall pack’s Alpha.

Hearing this Samuel almost was about to attack him, “Alpha, just allow me and he will be apologizing to you in no seconds.” He mind linked, not liking whatever the Alpha Colton said.

“And, that alone is the reason enough for me to choose her as my Luna, it was enough for me and my pack members to accept her. I wanted someone loyal and faithful, not a power hungry Luna. I think you are getting me?”

Adrian’s POV"If you want beta Samuel to apologize then Alpha Colton you should apologize first to Alpha Adrian for insulting his Luna."As the silence took place after his words, I chuckled not feeling even a bit amazed but raged, "You are so much agitated for my beta insulting you which he did not, to be actual. What should i do for you insulting my mate, my luna? And, especially when you are not even a bit apologetic about it?" "What for should I be apologetic? For insulting a coward, selfish, disloyal luna?" And, it was then and there, I lost my patience with Adrian trying to take over. I lunged at him with my claws appearing as I tried to keep my control from losing to Hunter, “Dare you to repeat that again, and you will be seeing your death.” I growled as Brian, Samuel and other Alpha tried to pull me away from him. The color of his drained away as his eyes met mine, I am sure enough that mine must have been switching from my natural honey brown orbs to his dark black ones.“H

Devika’s POV “What is going on here?”I questioned as I walked to the border with some of the female warriors. “Luna, this is…” Marcus tried to explain the situation but got interrupted by me as already Joy (female warrior) explained it to me. Walking past him, I went to the girl sitting on the ground while shivering, “Luna please, don’t go close to her. She might be dangerous and attack you.” Turning my head, I just gave him a look enough to shut him down. “Hey,” I called not going too close but just trying to caress her head which made her flinch back from me. “Hey, hey, I’m sorry. I’m sorry, okay, I won’t touch you but can you look up?” I asked in an attempt to make sure if she is rogue or not. Generally, the rogues have red eyes along with being stinky. “Luna, why don’t we wait till the Alpha reaches the pack? He is against welcoming rogues in the pack instead of keeping them in the cell.” Joy said taking her position beside me, “She can be dangerous, we don’t know what is she

I cannot leave Eva alone, she will get scared finding me not in the room.” He tilted his head in confusion when I said further, “Eva, the girl's name it is.” Nodding his head, “But Luna, Alpha seems to be very much pissed and wants to meet you right now.” I arched my brow hearing him, not at all liking what he said. “I said I will come after Eva will come out of the washroom and assured her of coming back. I cannot leave her alone like this therefore, tell him that I said to wait. I will be there in a few minutes.” In concern for me and fear of his Alpha, he stared at me with silence for a few seconds as if debating in my head what to do next. “What? Are you not going to l

Devi’s POV “What do you think you are doing?” I questioned him feeling nervous out of nowhere as he started coming closer than I expected. Standing just a foot away from me he raised his hand, I frowned feeling puzzled at the thought of what he was up to with the doctor checking a patient here. Wiping something off my undereye, “You are a Luna, you cannot be this sensitive for everyone except your pack members and,” I did not understand the pause at first but when he finished, “me.” my brows arched up in surprise and even before I could figure out what happened, he continued, “She is just an outsider now, just think what if she comes out to be a rogue?” He mind linked staring directly into my eyes and it was then, I felt the familiar warmth which has been a long since I felt. “Are you saying something similar from past flashbacked in front of you due to his action?” Willow asked in a sarcastic tone knowing well enough what I meant exactly. No matter what, you consider it or not but if you are the Alpha then I am the Luna of this pack and its safety is my responsibility too. You know, even if these would not have been there then also I would have thought of its safety, that’s called morality. Under which saving Eva also comes.” I said in a single breath vaining my frustration but I was still not done. “You are the Luna of this pack which means this is your pack too.” “Really? If you would have then you would not have made me feel today like this.” Freeing my wrist from his grip, “And stopping me won’t change my decision, because I am not going to change my decision. Devika’s POV “Samuel, you should also leave,” I said as Adrian leaves after announcing his decision to us. I very well knew that he wanted to stay and help his mate but Eva seemed to be scared of him as her grip tightened around me and started shivering as he tried to come closer. “Luna, can I talk to her… please?” He requested and took a deep breath as his mate whimpered hiding her face away from him. The hurt due to her actions was clearly reflected on his face and I wanted to help him but for that, he was required to leave the room. Him forcing himself upon her have a greater chance of their mate bond getting ruined. Therefore, I mind linked him, “You can see, how scared is she of you? Let me to her first, you trying to force her would make her leave you. Adrian’s POV For a few seconds, my eyes were just stuck on the door which she shut behind her as she left the office without saying a word. I was working on some documents to get myself distracted from that rogue girl she brought into the pack house and she was with before coming here. Though I did not raise my head, I was well aware of her presence and her taking a seat in front of the desk but what made me frown was her not speaking a single word and just leaving the room. I grumbled feeling even more irritated at that, “Why did she even come when had to leave without any word?” “Her wolf always has to interrupt, I don’t understand why she has so much problem with us that she keeps on creating distance between us. Just how smooth it is with Devi, she is her human only, and look how differently she behaves. She even dared to block me off so that I won’t be able to get what is going on in her head.” Hunter was mortified at Willow, “What does she get by blowing fuse? Has she got nuts

It has been hours since Adrian locked himself in the office, not allowing anyone inside. He even ordered Marcus to postpone all his meetings or plans for today and blocked everyone out so that no one can mind link him. “I said already, that doesn’t disturb me.” he barged at me from behind the door, leaving me astounded and shocked at the same moment. Little did I have a clue that he was going to reciprocate in that way. No wonder he did. Flabbergasted. I was quite flabbergasted by his gesture. He just got on my nerves.
