Devika’s POV

I threw the pillow off the bed and walked out at balcony as my mate still did not returned after dropping off his close friend back home. “Don’t know what are they doing? Why is it taking him so long?” feeling impatient and uncomfortable in my heart I murmured.

“I so want to just break those hands off her body, just how dare she be clingy to him?” I whispered slamming my fist on the railing.

“You should not have let him go with her, I don’t understand why you sent him with her? It seemed like cut own throat.” Willow said, “Hearing you I felt just so betrayed, I expected you to not let him go but instead you, yourself sent him.”

“What you want me to do? To accept in front of everyone, in front of him and that close friend that I don’t like that girl? She has some intentions? Who would believe me, you think?” I yelled at her not being able to hold back myself with her adding fuel to my mood. “They all know her since years, no one will believe me.”

Adrian’s POV As the early morning sun rays began to stream through the curtains, I opened my eyes slowly only for a wide smile to take over my face. With the beautiful mate curled up into my arms, I looked at her peaceful face contented in sleep. I did not want to leave the bed yet and wanted to spend a few more minutes by being beside her but leaned over, gently planting a kiss on her forehead. I got out of bed, and entered the washroom to do my morning chores with a plan of surprising my mate with a heart warming morning wish from me. After exhausting her for the night, this much she deserves. Don’t even think she is all sweet and loving like before, it has been three days since the barbecue night I have been trying to persuade her. But the task seems like taking a lifetime. Whenever it seemed like she is convinced, again her mood becomes sour. It has been a mere go round. I went down to the kitchen to prepare something healthy for her before she gets up and leave for the training

Adrian’s POV“You can do it, be careful and focused.” I said getting her nod in reply with a wide smile on her lips as she squeezed her hands holding mine. “All the best, I know you can do it.” Leaning forward, I planted a lingering kiss on her forehead when got interrupted.Interrupted by Nicole which my mate seemed to not like much as her smile turned into a frown. “Won’t you wish your friend good luck, Adi?” I sighed hearing her as just day before yesterday I learned about Devika’s issue with Nicole, she does not like her interruption now and then always. But, when I tried to explain her with Nicole being here for just few months and we are the one she is close to the most here, she replied with just a, ‘I understand, don’t worry.’After which she did not even waited to hear if I had something further to say and left the room. “All the best, Nicole.” I tightened hold on Devika’s hand to make sure she does not run away. She needs to see that Nicole is not an interruption but her way

  • His Chosen Mate- THE CHOSEN BEGINNING   Breaking Rule

Third Person's POV The training field was abuzz with anticipation as both, Luna and Nicole stood at the center of the field taking their positions and facing each other. They are both members of the pack but with intentions that vary way too much. One wants to prove herself and claim to be better than Luna for her own personal desire whereas Luna wants nothing from it and just does her best. She did not even want this to even happen but had to come up when challenged, “Come on, Luna. At least to prove your mate’s choice you should.” Whispered Nicole in her ear when Nicole had said about the battle. She stood tall and proud, her long black hair flowing in the breeze, he muscles tense and ready for action. She is a formidable opponent, with years of experience and a powerful presence that commanded respect. Nicole looked small in front her Luna, with fiery red hair that matched the intensity of her spirit. She is younger than Devika but is a skilled fighter which in the pack most of

Third Person’s POV“Adrian, listen to her first. She must have lost control of her wolf otherwise you also know she would not have done so. No matter how short tempered she is, she won’t try to harm someone, especially Devika. She knows well, what she means to you. Hurting her would mean hurting you.” Mom said softly to Adrian while caressing Devika’s hair who was asleep due to the medication given to her.Adrian walked out of the closet buttoning his shirt, “No matter what you say, she cannot be justified. No such excuse can save her. How can she break the rule to attack Devika, her Luna? She is supposed to be loyal to her, not this. Just look at her, how exhausted and injured she is.”Getting up from the bed, Mom walked to him and held his hand. “I know, and I understand what you are saying, but I am just saying for you to let her keep her explanation. We know it was not intentional.”“What are you even saying, Mom? You are seriously defending her? She tried to kill his mate, you so

Devika’s POV “You don’t need to do any of this, just get up,” I said attempting to get up from the couch, as she was kneeling down in front of me. No matter how much I dislike I have in my heart for her, I never wanted this. “Adrian, stop her, please.” I requested him not to like it, it must be feeling so humiliated. I cannot even imagine it. But, he shook his head, “No, let her apologize to you. This is the most simple decision I can give on her part.” Looking at her, he said. His eyes were speaking how hurt he was with all this, but his facial features were stern and hard as his decision. The way the nerve at the center of the forehead twitched, made me realize of his anger, “She should be thankful to her granny or else she would have been rotting down back in the dungeon by now.” A gasp left me hearing his words, “Dungeon?” He nodded his head, and I turned around instantly, “Nicole, get up. Come on, get up now.” I did not expect Adrian to be so strict. “Seriously, Adrian? You kep

  • His Chosen Mate- THE CHOSEN BEGINNING   Punishment

Devika’s POV “How long does she have to do this?” I questioned Bella while looking at Nicole working on the field while looking up at the sun and wiping off sweat from her her forehead. She has been punished with community service to learn patience and join the training special training program with Marcus to practice having control over her wolf. Bella shrugged her shoulder, and chuckled with a smirk settled on her face, “I don’t know but must be more than thirty minutes, I think. She is for sure going to learn how to control her anger and wolf both. Not to forget, to never attack your Luna.” This girl has been more pissed than me upon her just like her, just the difference is his anger is due to disappointment. I sighed, “She already said that she lost her control, stop being so pissed. I understand your brother but why are you so pissed at her?” She looked at me with a frown, “Are you seriously asking me this?” I shrugged nodding my head. “Why? Should I not?” I was not confused

  • His Chosen Mate- THE CHOSEN BEGINNING   Soon Enough

Nicole’s POV “Argh, bloody hell.” I groaned slumping down on the ground and closing my eyes throwing the rake beside me. I cannot believe at the time of my beauty care I am here raking the leaves, how can even Adrian be so harsh with me? Did he forget that I am a childhood friend and much more close than his mate? So what if I attacked her? She is alright, no? I turned my head to the side and found her giggling and enjoying herself with Bella on the balcony of Adrian’s room where I am supposed to be. It was my place that dared to take away, I just don’t understand what he saw in this bitch to choose her as his mate. Was I not enough? Could he have not to waited or even ask me? I would have instantly left everything in town, and come here, only for him. But no, once again he had to give my position to someone else. But, no worries just like the previous one, she will also have to leave both, him and the position which I am destined to. “Laugh all you want to, soon enough you will no

Devika’s POV “Hey,” I greeted Nicole as I walked out of the room and almost dumped into her at the stairs. She bowed her head but I did not miss the eye roll she gave to my ‘hi’. I frowned finding it disrespectful but let it be and nodded. “You did not go to the training?” I asked. She shook her head and sighed dramatically as if annoyed, “Seeing me here, you might already know that I did not but still you want me to say. I get it, no Luna, I did not go for training. And before you question why, it's because I was feeling dizzy.” I was amazed at how she passed a lip tight smile after that and just went down the stairs without even saying anything. She seemed to be in a bad mood, definitely must be coming from Adrian’s office. Now what did he say to her? I sighed taking the stairs in order to know what actually happened, I know she must have taken him to his limits making him lose his cool. I knocked on the door only to hear him growl, “What is it now?” He questioned, “If nothing imp
