Lucia and Sylvester were surrounded by three bulky guards as they approached the entrance of the majestic hotel. Each step Lucia made was slow and demure. Her eyes not looking at anyone else but at her husband alone. Her expression revealing how much in love and at peace she was with Sylvester. It was all for the people to continue staring at her and wanting to know who she was. Many of the guests by the entrance couldn't help but stare at the unknown beautiful woman beside Sylvester for much longer. They all thought to themselves from where exactly could they have met her or where she could have come from. Many already assumed she was probably an heiress to a massive fortune. Already people who knew Sylvester began to envy him for even daring to afford such an elegant upper class woman. “That's my wife. You're doing very good.” Lucia smiled liking his compliment. It wasn't her first time attending such an extravagant party and she knew well how to draw in the attention. The elegan
“It's been a while....sister.” Liliana came from behind and Lucia's eyes widened like she was seeing a ghost. Lucia was numb when Liliana's face showed up in the mirror precisely on the third frame. Her eyes couldn't blink at all and it was all starting to seem like maybe someone had added something into her drink. It would explain why she was seeing her sister behind her. And, that too in a different country. Liliana stepped forward and got her left hand on Lucia's shoulder. Her face glinting and also filled with emotions. Lucia's body stiffened more when Liliana's hand touched her shoulder. It was real. She wasn't hallucinating. Her sister was truly here in the flesh and in front of her. After a complete seven months of complete disappearance. “Sister, it's me.” Liliana spoke out again and it was only now Lucia finally let out the breath she was holding in. Her chest rused and her pale face was slowly regaining it's life and glow. Liliana had to turn her around and got her ar
Lucia immediately stood up when the surgeon came out. Her anxiety getting the best of her. And, the surgeon's expression wasn't making her feel better. She could tell deep down that something was definitely wrong. The last thing she wanted to hear was Sylvester didn't make it through the surgery. They were operating on him for the last three hours and not having any news about him was agonizing. “How is he? Tell me he's alive and well. Why are you still quiet doctor?” Lucia frantically asked almost tempted to rush into the OT to see him with her two eyes. But before she could ask any more questions the surgeon now spoke. “We've removed the bullet. And, thankfully the bullet didn't damage any important tissues and much less his heart.” Hearing the doctor tell her Lucia was quick to recall how Sylvester had been shot in his left chest. His perfect suit stained with his own blood. “And?...” “You people got him here quite late and he lost a lot of blood while on his way here. He's luc
Sylvester was allowed to be discharged after three days. He felt very suffocated by the hospital smell and wanted to be home as soon as possible. Lucia also agreed with him and told the doctor she would probably take very good care of him. Sylvester had a sling on his left arm by the time he was being discharged. It sucked on how he was to have the sling for two months and only make use of one hand. And, hence they had to remain in Buenos Aires for much longer. A private nurse had also been brought back home with them to help assist Lucia in taking care of Sylvester. The days went by and Sylvester hated only using one hand but was happy that Lucia had her two hands combined. Every day she was the one who bathed and sponged him. She also fed him his meals personally and on time. She gave him massages for his sore back. She also gave him many blowjobs and was always there to satisfy all of his every horny needs. It felt like a relaxing vacation for Sylvester having his wife giving him
Lucia looked at Sylvester sleeping soundly before she cautiously got down from the bed. Lately he had been more active and not leaving their bedroom. Lucia got into her sky blue robe over her nightie and knotted it before she left the room tip-toeing. She came downstairs and was heading towards the kitchen area when two guards came up to her. Lucia looked at the two men who kept her gazes low until one of them spoke. “Mr Danilo would like to speak with you My Lady.” “At this hour? I don't think it's appropriate.” Lucia said nonchalantly and took another step when the other guard said. “My Lady. Mr Danilo says it's very urgent. Please come with us.” Lucia wasn't liking Danilo's attitude lately. It was one thing to be worried and concerned about his brother but it was definitely another thing to blame her for the shooting incident. Even she wanted that person to be caught. She looked at the guards before getting her eyes towards the stairs. She had only come down here to get some wat
Lucia was allowed to leave and she walked out of Sylvester's office completely stunned. She felt like an entire bucket of ice chilled water was doused over her entire body. Her legs were still shaking from what she had heard in there. And, right now all she wanted to do was rush over to Sylvester's side and cry her eyes out next to him. Only he could grant her the solace that she desperately needed right now. Lately Sylvester had been nice and very caring. He showed her his care and they were becoming very close as of recent. Lucia headed back to Sylvester's bedroom and came to kneel beside him. He was still sound asleep and Lucia had tears stinging her eyes as she looked at his sleeping face. He was as handsome as ever and the thought of what Danilo said to her made her feel even more weak. No matter how Danilo had said that Sylvester would eventually leave her when he finds out about her father's truth and those people who are after her life Lucia tried to tell herself that Sylvest
Lucia stood by the door of the closet. Her eyes heavy but distant. Her fingers slightly moving around the cellphone. She was anxious. It was after almost two months that Liliana had chosen to reach out to her. And, it only told Lucia that her sister was probably in trouble and maybe even needed her help. She didn't know what to do. On one hand it was her sister who was the cause of Sylvester's suffering and also the woman who betrayed him with his nephew. And, on the other hand was her love and care. Even though Liliana had been more than a handful and difficult to deal with, it didn't stop the love that Lucia had for her. And, she was going to help her in any way that she can. The door opened abruptly sending her out of her deep thoughts. Sylvester's footsteps echoed against the floor. He was already dressed up in a palm tree patterned shirt with the first two buttons undone along with a green khaki pants. His hair ruffled but also stunning at the same time. His smile told Lucia t
The car got parked right in front of Roudy Plaza Mall which was one of the biggest malls in the city. It had over six wide floors and the building resembled that of a museum from the outside. Lucia came out of the car clutching her purse tightly. She knew Chacho's eyes were always on her and would probably never leave her side. She took in a breath before she raised her neck up and marched towards the entrance with Chacho obviously tagging five steps behind her. “Allow me My Lady,” Chacho came forward to hold the handle of the entrance door. His face very passive and his voice clipped to the tea. Lucia couldn't read his expression but knew he did have to keep his eyes on her which would make it hard for her to have some alone time with Liliana. Chacho pushed open the door and the moment Lucia walked in the cold air immediately swept across her face and leaving behind a refreshing sensation. They had passed the security check before they got towards the ground floor. The scene that
Hello everyone, So the epilogue of this book is up now and it's time I say a goodbye to our lovely characters. I fell so much in love with these characters, it took me time to develop this one, because unlike my other books where I had the beginning to mid point of the story sorted out, writer's block tends to creep in, but with this book I already had everything figured out and how it was going to end, hence was the result of the daily updates. I'm glad some of you stuck with me till the end, it was your keen interest and your constant comments that made me want to keep going and wanting to complete this book in just three months. Many of my thanks for this book goes to my lovely readers in here ; Reem, Coco, Edna, Ruthl, Alana and all of you all. Forgive me if I couldn't mention you name in here but I thank you all for loving this book. As a writer it takes me time to bring life, meaning and purpose into these characters, to make them have a reason for just being a part of the stor
A week had passed. “Eat.” Lucia said, raising the spoon in her hand and looked at Lucius, her tone more like an order and Lucius smiled, liking to being pampered by his daughter for seven whole days. In all these days, Lucia made sure he took his medications on time, had his meals on time and also made sure he didn't need to get out of his room. “I'm full now, dear.” Lucius couldn't eat anymore and smiled when his grandson, Lucca showed his smile to his grandfather. “He's been more active ever since you woke up, dad. I think he missed your company a lot.” Lucia smiled, watching her baby boy play with his grandpa. Lucius inhaled softly. “You really shouldn't be feeding me right now, dear. Remember, you only just came out of a coma only two weeks ago. The maids can do this.” Lucia raised a brow. “Oh really now? Last time I let the maids feed you when I had to breastfeed Lucca, you barely had three to four bites, and your mere presence alone scared the maids out of the room. So n
The days went by and each second were more than agonizing for Sylvester. Each passing breath that went in and exited out through his nostrils was painful, heart wrenching. He stared at Lucia for hours on end, choosing not to leave her side for even a slight urge to get a glass of water. His eyes were both puffy and red, his tear glands had totally dried up completely from shedding many tears for his angel. Today was the second day in Lucia's comatose state. The doctor had informed she might wake up at any time, be it in a few days, weeks, months or even years or probably never wake up again. The thought caused Sylvester rampage to happen inside of him. The room was eerily silent but inside him were filled with countless chaos disturbing his entire senses. He held her pale soft hands in his, his heart in turmoil and waiting for her to open her eyes and stare at him again. He knew he couldn't go on without his angel, nothing else fucking mattered in this world. Sylvester was so engro
“What did you think, Sylvester? That you can escape this island with your wife after causing me to make a grave for my daughter!” Lucius roared at the end, his expression covered with grief and anger. Sylvester shook his head in denial, “Godfather...my wife isn't responsible at all for that woman's death. You know her,” “I don't know a damn thing! All I know is my daughter was brutally murdered! She was fucking stabbed like a nobody in a damn restroom like she was some dog!” Lucius roared back, his scream made Lucia tug tightly on Sylvester's suit. Her eyes welling up and sobbing behind him. “I understand that you're hurt right now, Godfather...” Lucius cut him off with a growl, “No Sylvester! You wouldn't understand because you are yet to have a child of your own! But I've just lost mine after finding out about her just a few days ago!” Sylvester eyed around them, from all sides, guns were pointed at them and behind him, he could hear Lucia sobbing hard, she was scared and terr
Sylvester smiled at Mr Jerry who Lucius introduced him to, as well as Mr Franklin, Mr Castillo and Mr Montegrona. They were currently seated in a meeting only for the men, solely to discuss and expand their businesses. Sylvester was uncomfortable with Jonathan also present in the room and often met his gaze, the smirk seen on Jonathan's face telling him that things were going to change from now on. “So what do you think, Mr King? How is the proposal my assistant pitched to you, are we in business?” Mr Castillo looked thoughtfully at Sylvester while playing with his thick beard. Sylvester hummed, thinking of the proposal, besides weapons smuggling and drugs, Sylvester was never interested in anything business related but he also couldn't deny the offer Mr Castillo offered was very tempting. It could benefit both sides and increase their strongholds in the US government and in Asia as well. “What do you think, Godfather?” Sylvester turned his head towards Lucius and the old man smile
Sylvester was having a talk with few important delegates who were also invited to Lucius' grand party. Sylvester smiled admitting he liked the island a lot when from the corner of his eyes stood Clara, she was a couple distance away from where Sylvester was standing with three men. Clara winked at him from across the hall, the glass in her right hand raised up while she looked straight at Sylvester. “Hmm, I think the Godfather's daughter already has an interest in you,” Mr Linus stated with a mischievous smile while having his drink. Sylvester only shooked his head with a smile and swirling the glass in his hands, he wasn't a fool to not have seen it in her eyes from the moment Lucius introduced the two of them. The woman had audacity and didn't even bother to hide her interest despite having a man she was to marry soon. “You are probably just seeing things, there's no way. She's almost engaged and tomorrow is her engagement party. Although that man she wants to be with looks m
Lucia felt like the fancy burgundy colored rug had been removed right off her feet the moment her eyes met Jonathan's. Her chest heaved a little but then when Jonathan's eyes met hers, the smile widening on his face only made Lucia frown. She glared back at him - there was no way she was going to show him her fear, on the contrary he was the one to show her fear.“Isn't that?...” Sylvester held her arm. Lucia nodded immediately, bile rising up her throat. “He's Jonathan, that...bastard!” Lucia gritted, suddenly feeling uncomfortable to be seated in the hall. “How is he here?” Sylvester couldn't hide his shock either and could feel something sinister was playing under the tables. He clenched his jaw but then only looked at Lucia. “Let's leave from here, you aren't feeling well.” He got his arm around her back before the sound of glass flutes kinking echoed, both Jonathan and Clara toasting to their union.“I'll be fine on my own.” Lucia said but Sylvester shooked his head. “You have
FOUR MONTHS LATER... “Still nothing?...What the fuck are you people doing!” Sylvester gritted over the phone. “It's been months now and still no single news about Jonathan nor about the person trying to harm my wife?” Sylvester's knuckles had turned white before he slammed it on his desk. “Oh come on! It's not like they hid outside the fucking planet! They must be hiding somewhere, under a damn rock or something! But definitely somewhere around this world! And, I fucking want results. I'm getting damn impatient with you fucking idiots.” Sylvester hanged up the call before tossing the phone against the wall. He held his head with both hands before going into deep thoughts. All these months hiding the truth from Lucia was harder than he thought. Just yesterday he spoke with Lucius and the thought that he had his daughter with him was unspeakable. The man didn't even know he had a daughter who existed and Sylvester knew it was wrong to hide such a matter from both father and daughte
Lucia raised up a confused brow. “Leave? Did something come up, I can tell you look tense.” Lucia got her arms on his shoulders while Sylvester only heaved out a deep sigh. “Yes angel. I won't say that something didn't come up. I don't want to lie to you but I can't tell you what it is right now. Just know that we have to cancel our trip short.” Sylvester said and Lucia gulped, her expression fallen but then she raised her head up and smiled at Sylvester. “I won't ask you anything, I trust you a lot, my love.” Sylvester pulled her into a deep kiss and when they pulled away, Lucia asked. “When are we heading back?” “This evening. As soon as possible. I'll have everything organized, you just get the things you need, angel.” Sylvester replied before kissing her forehead and went ahead, leaving Lucia to sigh out alone. She really didn't want to leave now but she had no choice. Going back to Russia was sure to cause some uneasiness back to her. She couldn't help but fall in love with B
