Lucia hit her forehead against the floor. She already knew they had come for her. She couldn't hide anymore. She couldn't run anymore from her inevitable fate - her death. And, the irony was that she had no idea who she was running away from. Her father never got the chance to inform her when he died in her arms.
Lucia looked up and found her abode completely in a mess. The goons had trashed her apartment and turned it upside down. She didn't know how they found her when they didn't for ten years. She could already see her end drawing near and she thought of Liliana. Would she never see her again. One of the goons came to pull her up by her right arm and Lucia was forced to hiccup. But then her eyes settled on one of the tattoos on the goons right shoulder. It had a black S with spikes around it. That only meant one thing. These goons weren't the ones searching for her. But rather this goons served Sylvester King. Every man of Sylvester had that tattoo carved on their skin. “You are a woman?...” The goon sniffed at her and Lucia swallowed. Another of the goons hooted with a question. “Who are you sexy bitch?” Lucia gulped and wonders if it is appropriate to give away her full name. She still wondered why Sylvester's men were here and at her apartment. She did nothing wrong. She didn't know Sylvester personally nor had even crossed his path to let him even register her face. Her heart was beating so fast that taking each breath felt like a torture. “The boss will be happy to see what we have found.” One of the men laughed and Lucia got still when one of them came behind her and groped her ass hard. “Who are you? Answer us or we can do something else.” The man who was still holding Lucia's arm asked. His voice was deep and very Spanish. He seemed to be the leader of the bunch and unlike the other men he was more serious in knowing about Lucia. “M-my name is Lucia.” Lucia barely answered and the goon asked her another question. “Where is Liliana?” Lucia's eyes quickly widened in shock. Her body a little too still which didn't go unnoticed by the man. “How are you related to Liliana? Tell me girl.” The man pressed on and pulled out his gun to show Lucia. Lucia knew this men were trained by Sylvester and were ordered to shoot and kill anyone as they pleased. If there was one thing Lucia didn't want. It was to die especially right now. And, she wonders how this men knew her sister. “She is my sister.” Lucia whimpered when the man's grip on her arm was becoming too tight and painful. “Now I can see the resemblance. And, where is she now? Where has that little bitch run off to? Tell me right now.” The man had an evil look on his face not forgetting to show her the gun in his other hand. Lucia's eyes soon got filled with tears recalling not seeing nor hearing from Liliana in over six months. She got her head down and said. “I don't know where she is.” She quickly hissed when the man grabbed her hair harshly and yanked her head up in the process. Lucia was forced to look at the man again and in the next second the man slapped her. He let go of her with a jerk and Lucia was sent to the floor again. Feeling the harsh sting on her cheek more tears pooled in her eyes. The same man came at her again and got his left foot on her back pinning Lucia to the floor. Lucia groaned in agony under the leg on her back and begged. “Please...let me go. I don't know anything.” Lucia was finding it difficult to breathe with his leg squishing her lungs. She was gasping for air and couldn't think this was going to end like this. Many questions were rising in her head. How did these goons know about Liliana and why did they want her? Lucia couldn't have imagined that her sister would have even messed with Kings by mistake. Both she and her sister knew the consequences for daring to mess with Kings. The punishment was a never ending torture that leads one to beg for death. Everyone living in the city knew this fact. And, Lucia knew Liliana was smart in that regard. All the time she was messy and irresponsible but Lucia knew her sister was everything but stupid. “You'll suffocate her Chacho. His Lord might not like you dealing with this matter like this. He wants to find every information about Liliana.” A man to Lucia's left spoke and a gunshot was fired almost immediately. Lucia screamed holding her head and panicked when she saw that man fall to the floor turning lifeless with a bullet wound straight to his heart. “Does anybody else here wants a say in how I handle things?!” The man's voice was more lethal and Lucia could already feel the deep tension seeping into her skin. Her apartment became silent and Lucia felt the man's leg lifted off her back only for him to grab her nape and force her up on her feet again. “Tell me now. Where is she hiding?” The man asked calmly but the muscles on his face were spiking. He further pressed his grip unto her nape forcing Lucia to crane her neck and stare at him. “I don't k...” Before Lucia could finish speaking she was punched on her face before the man got his fingers around her stiff neck. “Listen you little bitch. Your sister has a fucking huge debt to settle with His Lord. His Lord wants her alive and he wants her back at all costs. And, am going to fulfill his Lord's every command.” The man seethed pressing his arm on her neck to increase the pressure. Lucia's nose was broken and a bloody cut was on her right cheek from the blow. Her head was now aching and her eyes a little blurry as everything seemed to be spinning around. She didn't know how to make him believe her in not knowing where Liliana was. She hadn't heard from her in a long time. But it seemed no matter what she did she was going to die right here and now like a dog and in the hands of one of Sylvester's measly men. “Are you still not gonna fucking talk? Your sister's life is more important than yours right bitch?” Lucia moved her mouth and whispered. “P-please...be-believe me sir. I d-don't know where she is...” The man looked at her again and grabbed her hair and pushed her to the floor again with his knee pressing her left shoulder. Lucia whimpered more and couldn't even move her body. She wondered if this was the end for her. “Get His Lord on the phone right now. Let him decide what we do with this stubborn bitch.” The man roared completely loosing his cool. One of the other men came to him with the phone connected to Sylvester and on loudspeaker. “My Lord, we have gotten our hands on Liliana's sister Lucia. But she knows nothing about Liliana's whereabouts. What should we do with her My L...” “Kill her.” A deep voice muttered over the phone. And, Lucia felt her whole soul leaving her body.“My Lord, we have gotten our hands on Liliana's sister Lucia. But she knows nothing about Liliana's whereabouts. What should we do with her My L...”“Kill her.” Seated on his armchair in a loose white crisp shirt and smoking a cigarette close to the window in his study Sylvester muttered without a beat and with no emotions. If there was no leads with her on Liliana then it was best to eliminate her sister.“No, wait!” His elder half brother Danilo who was also present in Sylvester's study was quick to take the phone from the table. “Wait. Don't kill her just yet. We want every piece of information on that woman. She is Liliana's sister and we want Liliana at all costs.” Sylvester heaved a deep breath and shut his eyes. Hearing Liliana's name was like awakening the dumb and foolish man that he was when it came to Liliana. It was no secret to everyone in Sylvester's close circle that he had lost his heart to one of the strippers named Liliana in one of his most elite clubs in the posh
Lucia could hardly move nor even tell what was happening with her. The only thing she knew was that her body was being carried by two of Sylvester's men. Her eyes were very hazy and her face hurts very badly because of the punch she received. “W-where are you...taking...me?” Her worried voice was barely out in a whisper as she was forced inside a van. The neighbors and people out on the street close to the building all had their eyes fixed on the men who hurriedly threw a petite figure inside their van. Again another victim of Sylvester King and they all knew that person's fate was sealed for both torture and death. “P-please....l-let me go...” Lucia's eyes were barely able to open halfway. Her back hurts. Her shoulders and her face all hurts at the same time. Even a harsh headache was surfacing. Before she lost her consciousness she wanted them to let her go. She knew where she was being taken to. To her death and she didn't even know why. She still couldn't puzzle out the connecti
Lucia whimpered feeling a wet thing tickle her skin. Her nose sniffed out something different. A mix of strong tobacco smell with a tint of raw air freshener. A masculine scent which she wasn't familiar of. As if dawning hard on her she quickly opened her eyes only to have her breathing ceased. She couldn't believe he was almost on top of her. His tongue was licking behind her ear. She immediately started to shiver as her breathing was now turning harsh. Sylvester sensed her body and looked at her from the corner of his eyes. A deep smile came on his lips while Lucia couldn't stop looking at him. As if she wasn't ever going to blink. She tried to move away but quickly hissed with a whimper again. Looking down she found the gunshot on her thigh had her whole lap soaked in her blood. She was in excruciating pain and had to bit her mouth. Even the now hot room didn't stop her from shivering. She was sure she was going to bleed to death soon. Not only that but Lucia also found both her
“Marry me.”Sylvester quickly turned around to look at her. Her merely two words were enough to make his eyes to show a bit of surprise and anger at the same time. Who was she to fucking demand he should marry her. Did she think he didn't have better options when it comes to finding a woman for himself. Then she must think he's stupid. In sheer anger Sylvester walked back to the bed and pointed the gun at her. This time he made sure to press the gun against her temple. Lucia was no doubt terrified. “How dare you fucking disrespect me? You are nothing yet to even think to offer such a proposition to me.” Lucia gulped witnessing his rage. Her heart was pounding and could burst out from her ribcage. She needed to think and act fast at the same time or she was gonna be a goner. “Sylvester think about this. She's Liliana's sister. They practically resemble each other. Some of our relatives have seen Liliana in the few pictures. Choosing just any random woman as your bride won't cut it.”
Lucia stared at her reflection while sitting on a stool with the long oval mirror in front of her. She looked beautiful no doubt. Her lipstick was a fine red hue. Her hair was let loose with pink petals made into a hairpin. There was a bouquet of pink roses in her hands while she dared not to move because of her plastered thigh. The female servants were busy in now wearing her veil. One could tell that despite the full makeup done on her face she still looked gloomy and sad. Anyone around her would instantly tell that her aura was of that of a lost and sad kitten. None of the staffs spoke to her and Lucia preferred the silence and just allowed them to do their work. She only did talk whenever she felt some discomfort on her bandaged thigh. Lucia couldn't think of any other reason as to why Sylvester would want to marry a nobody like her. She never thought he would accept her proposal. After all he didn't know her nor where she came from. Or did he? No. Lucia thought and was quick to
Lucia could recall the hard blow to her belly. And, now she felt painful cramps under her abdomen. She still couldn't digest the fact that this was happening. But what could she do. Absolutely nothing. “We have all gathered here to join two souls together in a union. These two souls will pledge to themselves loyalty which is the most important factor in a marriage. Today I thank everyone who is present today to witness their togetherness. These two are to pledge out their duties especially the bride who goes by the name of Lucia Colleen. Are you aware of your pledge and duties, Ms Lucia?” The priest asked. Lucia nodded her head and replied. “I do.” “Ms Lucia. Do you accept here at this altar and in front of so many that your soon to be husband will be by far your superior. He will be your master and you are to obey his very word and command. To always please him and never ever leave this marriage no matter the circumstances until death takes you away from him.” Lucia knew the whole
Some of the guests came up to the altar to personally congratulate the newly wedded couple. Lucia had their breath in her throat and had to constantly force out a smile to receive the guests. Sylvester enjoyed her situation and didn't refrain from shamelessly groping her behind in front of everyone. Lucia had to admit her new life had just began right now. This wasn't what she intended and planned but this was where her life had led her to. She was more unfortunate than ever and she knew this since the day her home and family was lost. Still, she couldn't help but wonder how this man beside her who was her husband would treat her. She knew he was a beast to everyone but she also didn't know what he was actually like as a husband. It was a new Territory for both of them. “Come with me. And, don't forget to smile angel.” Sylvester led Lucia to meet some of the important guests that had come from far and wide just to be present at Sylvester's wedding. Lucia got to meet Sylvester's rela
Lucia briefly shared a hug with Ms Clarice who was their last guest. Sylvester smiled at her and Lucia tried to force out a smile but couldn't. Her lips were already hurting from curling her mouth too much. “I hope you come visit us soon in Madrid. I would love that Mr and Mrs King.” Clarice offered with her charming smile. Sylvester smiled more and got his hand around Lucia's back. Lucia stiffened but Clarice failed to notice. “I will probably take up on that offer someday. As it is. I am a very busy man who runs this city. Also, my wife and I would like to go on our honeymoon. The location is secret though.” Sylvester pulled Lucia close and kissed her cheek. Clarice smiled and tried not to laugh. She got into her car and the car was now heading out of their estate with both Sylvester and Lucia waving at the car's behind as it left the King estate. Lucia didn't know what to feel right now. It was a long hassle of a day and finally all the guests were already gone. She was exhausted
Hello everyone, So the epilogue of this book is up now and it's time I say a goodbye to our lovely characters. I fell so much in love with these characters, it took me time to develop this one, because unlike my other books where I had the beginning to mid point of the story sorted out, writer's block tends to creep in, but with this book I already had everything figured out and how it was going to end, hence was the result of the daily updates. I'm glad some of you stuck with me till the end, it was your keen interest and your constant comments that made me want to keep going and wanting to complete this book in just three months. Many of my thanks for this book goes to my lovely readers in here ; Reem, Coco, Edna, Ruthl, Alana and all of you all. Forgive me if I couldn't mention you name in here but I thank you all for loving this book. As a writer it takes me time to bring life, meaning and purpose into these characters, to make them have a reason for just being a part of the stor
A week had passed. “Eat.” Lucia said, raising the spoon in her hand and looked at Lucius, her tone more like an order and Lucius smiled, liking to being pampered by his daughter for seven whole days. In all these days, Lucia made sure he took his medications on time, had his meals on time and also made sure he didn't need to get out of his room. “I'm full now, dear.” Lucius couldn't eat anymore and smiled when his grandson, Lucca showed his smile to his grandfather. “He's been more active ever since you woke up, dad. I think he missed your company a lot.” Lucia smiled, watching her baby boy play with his grandpa. Lucius inhaled softly. “You really shouldn't be feeding me right now, dear. Remember, you only just came out of a coma only two weeks ago. The maids can do this.” Lucia raised a brow. “Oh really now? Last time I let the maids feed you when I had to breastfeed Lucca, you barely had three to four bites, and your mere presence alone scared the maids out of the room. So n
The days went by and each second were more than agonizing for Sylvester. Each passing breath that went in and exited out through his nostrils was painful, heart wrenching. He stared at Lucia for hours on end, choosing not to leave her side for even a slight urge to get a glass of water. His eyes were both puffy and red, his tear glands had totally dried up completely from shedding many tears for his angel. Today was the second day in Lucia's comatose state. The doctor had informed she might wake up at any time, be it in a few days, weeks, months or even years or probably never wake up again. The thought caused Sylvester rampage to happen inside of him. The room was eerily silent but inside him were filled with countless chaos disturbing his entire senses. He held her pale soft hands in his, his heart in turmoil and waiting for her to open her eyes and stare at him again. He knew he couldn't go on without his angel, nothing else fucking mattered in this world. Sylvester was so engro
“What did you think, Sylvester? That you can escape this island with your wife after causing me to make a grave for my daughter!” Lucius roared at the end, his expression covered with grief and anger. Sylvester shook his head in denial, “Godfather...my wife isn't responsible at all for that woman's death. You know her,” “I don't know a damn thing! All I know is my daughter was brutally murdered! She was fucking stabbed like a nobody in a damn restroom like she was some dog!” Lucius roared back, his scream made Lucia tug tightly on Sylvester's suit. Her eyes welling up and sobbing behind him. “I understand that you're hurt right now, Godfather...” Lucius cut him off with a growl, “No Sylvester! You wouldn't understand because you are yet to have a child of your own! But I've just lost mine after finding out about her just a few days ago!” Sylvester eyed around them, from all sides, guns were pointed at them and behind him, he could hear Lucia sobbing hard, she was scared and terr
Sylvester smiled at Mr Jerry who Lucius introduced him to, as well as Mr Franklin, Mr Castillo and Mr Montegrona. They were currently seated in a meeting only for the men, solely to discuss and expand their businesses. Sylvester was uncomfortable with Jonathan also present in the room and often met his gaze, the smirk seen on Jonathan's face telling him that things were going to change from now on. “So what do you think, Mr King? How is the proposal my assistant pitched to you, are we in business?” Mr Castillo looked thoughtfully at Sylvester while playing with his thick beard. Sylvester hummed, thinking of the proposal, besides weapons smuggling and drugs, Sylvester was never interested in anything business related but he also couldn't deny the offer Mr Castillo offered was very tempting. It could benefit both sides and increase their strongholds in the US government and in Asia as well. “What do you think, Godfather?” Sylvester turned his head towards Lucius and the old man smile
Sylvester was having a talk with few important delegates who were also invited to Lucius' grand party. Sylvester smiled admitting he liked the island a lot when from the corner of his eyes stood Clara, she was a couple distance away from where Sylvester was standing with three men. Clara winked at him from across the hall, the glass in her right hand raised up while she looked straight at Sylvester. “Hmm, I think the Godfather's daughter already has an interest in you,” Mr Linus stated with a mischievous smile while having his drink. Sylvester only shooked his head with a smile and swirling the glass in his hands, he wasn't a fool to not have seen it in her eyes from the moment Lucius introduced the two of them. The woman had audacity and didn't even bother to hide her interest despite having a man she was to marry soon. “You are probably just seeing things, there's no way. She's almost engaged and tomorrow is her engagement party. Although that man she wants to be with looks m
Lucia felt like the fancy burgundy colored rug had been removed right off her feet the moment her eyes met Jonathan's. Her chest heaved a little but then when Jonathan's eyes met hers, the smile widening on his face only made Lucia frown. She glared back at him - there was no way she was going to show him her fear, on the contrary he was the one to show her fear.“Isn't that?...” Sylvester held her arm. Lucia nodded immediately, bile rising up her throat. “He's Jonathan, that...bastard!” Lucia gritted, suddenly feeling uncomfortable to be seated in the hall. “How is he here?” Sylvester couldn't hide his shock either and could feel something sinister was playing under the tables. He clenched his jaw but then only looked at Lucia. “Let's leave from here, you aren't feeling well.” He got his arm around her back before the sound of glass flutes kinking echoed, both Jonathan and Clara toasting to their union.“I'll be fine on my own.” Lucia said but Sylvester shooked his head. “You have
FOUR MONTHS LATER... “Still nothing?...What the fuck are you people doing!” Sylvester gritted over the phone. “It's been months now and still no single news about Jonathan nor about the person trying to harm my wife?” Sylvester's knuckles had turned white before he slammed it on his desk. “Oh come on! It's not like they hid outside the fucking planet! They must be hiding somewhere, under a damn rock or something! But definitely somewhere around this world! And, I fucking want results. I'm getting damn impatient with you fucking idiots.” Sylvester hanged up the call before tossing the phone against the wall. He held his head with both hands before going into deep thoughts. All these months hiding the truth from Lucia was harder than he thought. Just yesterday he spoke with Lucius and the thought that he had his daughter with him was unspeakable. The man didn't even know he had a daughter who existed and Sylvester knew it was wrong to hide such a matter from both father and daughte
Lucia raised up a confused brow. “Leave? Did something come up, I can tell you look tense.” Lucia got her arms on his shoulders while Sylvester only heaved out a deep sigh. “Yes angel. I won't say that something didn't come up. I don't want to lie to you but I can't tell you what it is right now. Just know that we have to cancel our trip short.” Sylvester said and Lucia gulped, her expression fallen but then she raised her head up and smiled at Sylvester. “I won't ask you anything, I trust you a lot, my love.” Sylvester pulled her into a deep kiss and when they pulled away, Lucia asked. “When are we heading back?” “This evening. As soon as possible. I'll have everything organized, you just get the things you need, angel.” Sylvester replied before kissing her forehead and went ahead, leaving Lucia to sigh out alone. She really didn't want to leave now but she had no choice. Going back to Russia was sure to cause some uneasiness back to her. She couldn't help but fall in love with B
