Charles POV

The moment I saw her I knew she was mine. My wolf has never growl this way before in front of any lady.

I fought to keep my wolf silent when her scent kept on tormenting us. Where has she been all this why? I peeped through the door till she disappeared.

“ Who was that?” Grey’s voice brought back my attention. He has been waiting in the pack house since some minutes ago he alerted me to be here.

“ I think some girl, who was missing her way. Glad I was able to help.” I knew it was not right to tell lies to the Alpha, but I had to. She sounded pretty desperate to speak to Daisie in private.

“ Good, let’s get back to business.” he said with no expression on his face, and his voice deep as always, deeper than mine. I crossed to the zone he was sitting, leaning against the wooden table as I tapped a finger across my straight nose.
