Chapter 25

Grey’s POV

I ducted my anger out on the road, don’t want Rug's words to continue playing in my head else I do something treacherous, which I cannot permit. I don’t want Daisie’s insecurities to rise. Not now that she is becoming free around me.

“ Wasn’t Lolchan the guy we met at the church?” she slanted her eyes as she jumped out of the truck by herself. Good thing Daisie has a good memory, I peek at her.

“ You are smart, Daisie.” her fainted red cheek was hidden by the corner of her hair, sweeping across her face.

“ I don’t know what Charles was doing with him, they are not friends,” I said, locking the door of the truck.I parked some distance away from my house. I do this sometimes whenever I want, maybe laziness, maybe anger or maybe nothing at all.
