“Dispatch everyone to cover the mansion. Don’t let a single fly out of this place. You hear me!” Carson grunted, squinting his eyes. The anger in his voice sent shivers down Drake’s spine.

“Yes, Sir. Right away,” Drake said and rushed out, ordering everyone to cover the mansion.

“Mommy!” Carl opened his eyes, finding himself on his bed while his mother was in the bathroom. He could only hear her scowling through the pain in her heart from behind those doors.

A big frown formed on his face, not understanding what was happening to his mother. So he decided to step out of the room.

“Huh?” Suddenly he was startled to see many guards running around crazily, shouting at each other, “Find the girl! Quick!”

“I need some water,” Carl sighed, unaffected by the chaos. He went straight to the kitchen, which, however, was empty. Not even the maids were around.
