Chapter 44 : Let me go

Ian knew how excited Pari was to talk to her parents about their relationship. But things got really dirty after that one phone call. Ian regretted not being with her when all these things happened. He got dreadful feelings when she called early in the morning and kept crying. He would have lost his sanity if she didn't say anything.

She looked devastated when he reached her place. Her red puffy eyes told him how badly she was affected by their words. He couldn't understand why she had to suffer just because she loved someone. 'Why couldn't love be accepted in a simpler way? Why can't two people in love live happily without any interference?' Such thoughts kept bugging him all night.
